I'm sorry for your lost... Air mataku tidak bisa tidak mengalir saat menyadari betapa Tuhan juga turut merasakan dukaku kehilangan seorang Papa. Aku bersyukur Alkitab mencatat bahwa Yesus menangis dengan sedihnya saat Lazarus meninggal dunia. Jadi kita bisa yakin dan percaya bahwa Tuhan sungguh-sungguh merasakan duka yang kita rasakan.

We start the lenten season 2013 today. During these forty-days before Easter, we focus on His sufferings, death, and resurrection. We reflect on the cross. Therefore a commitment to do fast and feast on Jesus is really important. I commit to wake up earlier (at 5 AM) to have time alone with God. It is quite hard for me since I have been experiencing insomnia for this past week. It is hard for me to sleep earlier at night. It must be 1 or 2 AM before I asleep. Then I would be like in coma in the morning. Yesterday, I did not hear anything when my roommates tried to wake me up. Fortunately, Bora touched me so that I woke up. Thanks to God, this morning He woke me up at 5 AM! I read the last 5 chapters in the book of Psalm this morning and found a lot of  "Praise the LORD!". People often think and even illustrate that The Magi worshiped the Lord Jesus when He was lying in a manger at the night of His birth, so they met the shepherds. That's totally wrong. The Bible said that The Magi came AFTER Jesus was born in Bethlehem. It might be few weeks or months later, if we consider Herod command to kill the babies under two years old. The Magi came from the east, maybe from Persia. They came with a deep knowledge of who Jesus is. They knew that Jesus is the Messiah. From their question to Herod, we know that they knew exactly that Jesus is the king of the Jews. The Israelites did not accept that Jesus is the king of the Jews, but these strangers were looking to worship Him! They were the second people who worshiped the Baby Jesus. The Bible does not record how The Magi knew by 'only' discovering the star, but even though they were so wise, I think they were chosen by God to worship the Baby Jesus . This past week I am learning about waiting for the Lord. To wait patiently is not easy. It is painful and I am crying to God in these few days. I found this song strengthen me to keep worship and serve my God while I'm waiting. The artist is John Waller. First time I heard this song is from a Christian movie titled Fireproof . Listen carefully to this song and the lyric, and take a commitment to wait patiently for the Lord. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. (Psalm 27:14)

UPH Choir lagi latihan nyanyi lagu My Heavenly Father Watches Over Me . Lagu ini benar-benar menyentuh, tiap kali latihan aku merasa dikuatkan dan semakin merasa mantap untuk melangkah pergi ke Batam bulan Juli nanti. Apapun yang terjadi, Bapaku yang di surga menjagaku.

Jumat malam, 25 November 2011 ada konser Brian Doerksen and Band di Grand Chapel UPH. Sebelumnya aku sama sekali gak tau siapa itu Brian Doersken. Kabarnya dia sangat terkenal di Amerika.
