Point Blank

To play strategic on the job,
Be careful whom you might hobnob.

A manager who works with me
Is bothered by not one, but three.
These cads will not give up the chase;
They constantly invade her space.

“Step back,” she said, fair to exclaim.
The point is clear. It’s not a game.
Your outcome’s sure to disappoint;
Don’t get your noses out of joint.

Look to yourselves, you garish guys.
Behind her head she might have eyes,
But never for the likes of you,
Because you do too hard pursue.

They disremember she’s the boss,
Which leaves the rest of us at loss.
But soon they’ll be up for review,
And they can bid a raise adieu.

Klutz and Killjoy

A klutz I am to beat the bill,
A fall-down drunk, no sip or swill.
My frame betrays me without sign,
I cannot walk a fine straight line.

Before you measure out my mote,
Please know I have a doctor’s note.
Alas, judge not by hook or crook.
Things are not always as they look.

Reserve your ratings, formed in vain.
From diagnosis, do abstain.
You cannot grasp the way I walk,
Thus, I won’t bear your idle talk.

Flying Figs

My friend's fictitious, absolute.
She’s telling tales with bitter fruit.
I’m not sure why she’s singled me;
Perhaps we simply disagree.

Her lips, she puckers like a prune
To sing her altercating tune.
My closest chums dodge her debates.
Their daybooks fill with other dates.

We aim for higher raisin d’etre.
And so her stories we’ll forget.
I know that I could flip my wig,
But I don’t give a flying fig.
