Hey, Friends!
I hope everyone is warm and safely recovering from
Sandy’s impact!
I finished stitching Mistletoe by
Acorn House Designs from the 2012 JCS Christmas Ornament issue. It was the one that drew me in first. Of course you know I had to make it my own… instead
of the called for fibers, used Nancy’s Victorian Motto threads. The linen is a butter-ish color, so it was
hard to get the white berries to show up.
Beads worked better! Then I
realized I didn’t want to stitch Merry Christmas over one, so it turned out
bigger than the magazine model shows.
Tanya of The Scarlett House designed a graph for the attendees of
Stitching at the Beach, and it is darling! Stitched over one on 28ct Tea linen (that's why I left the tag on, ladies). Haven’t decided exactly how to finish it, but love the way Michele decided to finish
hers!
I picked up Gather, Give, Gobble from
Stitch and Frame, LNS yesterday. I love how it framed up - they always do an
amazing job – and I’m really happy with my choices.
There are a couple of things in the
Q-snaps, and too many to count that I’d love to do next! I’ve done it again… joined a SAL. I couldn’t resist the Country Cottage Needleworks monthly series,
Santa’s Village. Vonna has started a blog for
the SAL, SSVT – Stitching Santa’s
Village Together. Hop over to take a
look if you like.
DS and I went last week to see Cloud Atlas and I loved
it! Your opinions?
