The simple life

The weather has been kind to us this week so we all went for a walk on the beach.

Jenny and I had our cameras out of course

and captured some rare family photos

three of our lovely grandchildren, looking forward to seeing the fourth soon I hope

I always wonder what they are chatting about

while I know these two will be discussing tennis and football!

that green stuff was just too much though

we can always rely on a certain person to clear everyone’s plates

I pinned this recipe from attic24 a couple of weeks ago for no-knead artisan bread. Now I’ve been on Pinterest for quite a while and do no more than pin something and then forget about it so when I saw Fiona’s post I had to join in.

and here is my loaf, so simple to do

and very tasty inside.

For anyone wanting a simple way of making bread I would certainly recommend this.

enjoying a class

I’ve been slowly dipping in to Shimelle’s latest class Return to the Collection and although I’m not one to buy collection packs I’ve found plenty to inspire me.

This was my layout from the first lesson. This year I’ve decided I want to add lots more photos to my album so included more from the same day in a divided page protector.

This page was based on the second lesson and I’ve dusted off a never used stamp for this.

I’ve also used some papers from my prize.

The weather here has calmed down a lot and walks by the sea have been enjoyable again. The sunlight always makes me want to scrap more too instead of cuddling under a blanket and reading.

I’m joining in with Helena’s meme zoom in zoom out here for the first time, I’ve been watching from the side lines for a while.

Jenny brought over her Simon says Stamps kit yesterday and we had a few hours to play. The one card we finally made was this one following Nichol Magouirk’s tutorial here. I got a bit carried away with my flowers but really like the card!

Our attempts with stencils and embossing paste were not so successful and very messy, will have to keep practising I think.
