weeks menu

july

I'm trying to get a bit more organised this week and so have started with my menu. I'm also hoping to clean out cupboards, get rid of out of date food and make a list of things I need, that's my intention anyway!!

Nice easy menu this week, tried and tested recipes.

Had a lovely weekend doing some of Shimelle's classes with lots more on her blog to try. A lot of planning and effort went into the online crop and it certainly was appreciated by me.

Organised!!

APRIL 12

I am an organised person, in most respects. I find it hard to live in a mess and need structure in my life. I always try to do certain jobs on certain days and, sadly, can get quite stressed if jobs pile up.

So I am now relaxing with all the washing out on the line, the house cleaned and my weekly menu worked out. Some people might find this odd but it works for me. The rest of the day is mine, until teatime that is!!

Keeping things simple for mum this week as we don't want her ill again, thankfully she seems ok today. Thank you to those who left comments :)

We've managed another walk by the sea and a coffee, it was very busy today with lots of foreign students with question sheets roaming around.

All the daffs are out now, a lot later than previous years and the blossom is coming on the trees, I can't wait for the warmer weather!

New week

3rd week

Another week and looks set to be a busy one. We are over at mums tomorrow for a hospital appt and then we are bringing her back for Easter. Meals will have to be old favourites while she is here. I've also had to change things quite a bit recently due to DS3, sometimes I think it might be better not to plan anything!

We do have a few things planned however to make it a nice holiday for mum and are hoping the weather stays reasonably nice so we can sit out in the garden a bit, ever the optimist me!

A lovely bright sunny day crying out for the start of spring cleaning. Think I will look at Shimelle's latest prompt instead though!

This week I've taken a couple of recipes from Ainsley Harriott's book - low fat meals in minutes. I have so many cookery books, i really should start using them more!

Weeks menu

march

This week I feel like trying some new recipes so I’ve been looking through Good Food magazines and also this blog http://countryheartandhome.blogspot.com/, for ideas.

I’m also going to try and make some more sweet chilli jam as we’ve eaten all I made before Christmas and it is very yummy!!

Let’s hope that March sees the end of all the bad weather and we can start looking forward to spring :)

Another week, soon be March and hopefully spring will be on the way.

I received a lovely prize of digi stamps from Elephantastic cards yesterday which I am looking forward to using and some lovely comments on my blog for which I want to thank everyone.

A little late today as I have been looking after chickens and cat :)

Thought I’d do two of my new recipes, salmon and pork dishes, again as I really enjoyed them, apart from that I’m sticking to old favourites as I have a busy week.

Puddings will be icecream, yoghurt and perhaps a crumble if I’m feeling kind!

week

Another week another menu!  Still trying hard to have everything homemade. I’m also now in the process of deciding what to grow in the garden this year. This week I’m going to tidy the greenhouse and possibly start some seeds growing. Ian and I have decided to spend an hour a day out in the garden, unless it’s raining, digging it all over and putting some compost around to help the veg grow as last year wasn’t very successful. There is so much to do in our garden and each year we say we will sort it, this year is THE YEAR!

Another week and another set of meals, I hope I can keep this up as it does make things easier. The Sunday meal is a recipe from the tv bit in the Saturday Mail, I thought it looked interesting. All the other meals are firm favourites.

again

I’m back on my diet now so not doing any puddings, we will have fresh fruit or icecream. I’m trying a few new recipes, two that Sue recommended, hopefully they will be enjoyed by everyone. I also plan to make a low fat weetabix cake and a lemon drizzle cake along with some homemade soup, for our lunch.

Weeks Menu

menu 2

My menu for the week, hopefully I will keep to it. I had to make a couple of alterations last week as the weather meant Andrew couldn’t get home one night so Ian and I ate the leftovers from the previous evening but on the whole I was pleased with the way the week went.
