Memorandum Monday

 This weekend I've been sorting out some photos, I have far too many. I did come across this old photo of me and my two sisters, I'm the little one in the middle.

 The main priority of the weekend was to finish my LSNED pages for this year, I had everything recorded in my diary which made things a lot easier.

all done and in my 2016 album, 30 days of learning something new.

Memorandum Monday

It has been a week of celebrating yet another birthday, I think I was allowed a break from the diet.
The family really spoilt me and I have a lot more stash to play with.

I've finally made a start on my LSNED album, as usual I am keeping it very simple. These will all be put in my 2016 album.

I ordered the wrong divided page protectors recently which ended up quite a good thing. I suddenly remembered a few years ago I had done a digi version of LSNED so with the help of my blog I was able to find that it was in 2010. They were all 4x6 layouts which made them easy to print and place in my 2010 album, a first for me.

I've made a start on my LSNED pages, keeping it simple and in my year album. I've used a 6x6 Shimelle true stories pad and this has helped me enjoy the process more. I like the way this format adds interest to my album and is making me think more of doing Project Life next year.

August

Life has been very hectic here over the last few weeks, with lots of visitors, two special birthdays and as much time by the sea as possible. Things always seem to calm down in September as the tourists depart and the children go back to school, Although I love the hustle and bustle of summer, especially Folk Week, I have to admit it's good to get back to normal and that being so I am of course doing Shimelle's LSNED class as I have for several years now. Anyone else joining in? 

L.S.N.E.D. my month of lessons

September was a mixed month for me but it’s good to take something positive from even the bad days  or at best draw a line under them and start again.

I took the format from Shimelle’s finished album last year as I liked the idea of it going in my yearly album.

As always I really enjoyed the class and recording my lessons each day, I think this is my favourite Shimelle class and once bought you can join in each year, great value!

This afternoon I did the final pages for my LSNED album, the first time I’ve finished before the end of September. I think trying to keep it simple and repeating some elements has made it a doable project for me.

A day spent doing what I like best and trying not to feel guilty.

nearly there

September is nearly over and I’m so pleased I have kept up with Shimelle’s LSNED class, here are some more pages.

I went a bit overboard with mist with this one, my excuse was i had been making Christmas cards!

I’ve never been one for classical music but have suddenly discovered Andre Rieu and I am converted, listening to his music makes me smile.

I’ve been trying to use more stamps lately, I know I’m a very lazy scrapper.

paint!!

having been given the task to try something new over the weekend for my LSNED pages, I thought I would dig out some paint. The first two unopened paint dabbers were rock hard which put me in a bad mood straight away and then my childish attempts to be arty put me in an even worse one. I just can’t seem to use paint well on a layout so perhaps that is another lesson learnt!

as I make myself spend a little time each day to find a lesson for these pages my heart goes out to Shimelle as she tries to run this class and cope with an unexpected house move!

a few more pages for my LSNED album

things don’t change much!

we were all thrilled for Andy Murray as he won his first grand slam especially our 13yr old grandson who posted on Facebook giving away the fact to his parents that he’d been up till 3am watching the match!!

Children always assume they are the first to do something bad and forget we were all young once. Chatting with my friend, again on Facebook, she reminded me of what we called each other and why. I will not go into detail but will tell you it involved a school report and ink eradicator!

I’m really enjoying taking Shimelle’s LSNED class again as there is always something new to learn.

a new school is always a big adventure, I wish I’d treated school a bit differently.

I’ve long wanted to try some “messy” techniques so as I’d just bought this mask I tried it out on this page using a mica mist

when your children leave home you don’t stop worrying about them. I can tie myself in knots imagining all sorts of things!

I wanted to put my list from my 10things on the tenth blog post in my album as it records what I am doing right now.

I’m very lucky to have so much time to do whatever I like.
