Christmas Journals

It’s Sian’s final Storytelling Sunday over on her blog today. The year has gone by so fast and I would like to thank her for making me think about what I find precious.

I’m not really a great one for material things, it’s the special little family memories that mean the most to me and so at the start of December I have to make my Christmas Journals my precious for this month. Little snippets of our family Christmas’ over several years. The presents, food, games, music and most especially the people, my family that turn those few days into something really wonderful.

Whether your family is large or small I hope you can all share this special time of year with them.

Thank you again Sian for all the fun I’ve had over the last couple of years sharing some of our family stories (and secrets) with you.

You're not the only one to share a journal this month. The perfect precious for December.

I think choosing your Christmas journals is a bit of festive genius! You are absolutely right, too: in this house I would definitely try to grab my Christmas albums if I had to leave in a hurry. They say it all really, don't they? A perfect finish to the year.

With so many thanks Jane for all of the stories over the past couple of years. It's always been a joy to see what you have chosen..and those secrets have been very much appreciated! We have enjoyed them all x

All those little snippets of everyday become all the more precious as the time goes by don't they?

I have seven years of Christmas Journals. I put them in baskets in the living room yesterday. They are among my most precious scrapbooks.

What a lovely collection! I do like the way they are all different. Are you keeping one this year too?

What a great choice! I think the very first JYC I did, in the form of an art journal in a box is my most precious because it was very reflective of Christmases over my entire life. This year I am doing December Daily - more of a month in our life because I haven't done that lately and do love how those mini albums turn out.
