nativity

andrew-as-joseph

I loved this kit from Dawn Inskip and couldn’t resist using it again. The photo is Andrew when he was Joseph at playgroup.

Hummie’s technique for this class was to repeat an element, I did the stars in the top corner.

It’s very cold here and we keep getting snow but fortunately it doesn’t seem to be settling.

lazy Sunday

I often like to visit  scrapdolly's blog for inspiration and on a recent visit saw a lovely card she had made. I went straight to this blog to find the digi kit and was soon making my card.

The lighting is bad at the moment, we’ve had some snow, but I wanted to put it on my blog and keep in the Christmas mood.

Let it snow!

SDC11215

The weather might be freezing and snow on the way but I’ve been nice and cosy by the fire making these snowmen!

The pattern was from Simply Knitting, Irresistible Christmas gifts to make and when I saw this little trio I had to make them.

After feeling very low and let down by folk, I’ve decided to put a smile on my face, not quite so scary as my snowmen I hope and start enjoying the festive season.

Computers!

I’ve been missing from blogland for a while due to my computer suddenly giving up. How do we manage without them? Not very well in my case! I’m now busy sorting everything out and trying to get it back to how I like it, I think I’ll need to do Shimelle’s blog class again as I seem to have forgotten several settings and ideas she gave.

Anyway, I did keep myself busy and even managed to scrap a bit.

SDC11207

I did this page using a kit from Sarah’s Cards which I bought last year.

and a card from some of the scraps.

She is also doing a free class called Inspiration Everywhere which runs from 29th Nov to 8th Dec. if you are new to her website then please give it a go, her classes are always fun to do.

digi

father and son

While busy downloading some kits from Dawn Inskip I made this layout using a free quick page. The photo was taken this week in Salisbury without their knowledge so I hope they don't look on here!

It's been a busy weekend with the children round yesterday and then an unexpected 5 more for lunch today. Worried about not having enough I went to the other extreme and we all ate far too much, back on the diet tomorrow!

Salisbury

SDC11177

We've been away for a couple of days helping Peter find a place to live as he has a new job.

SDC11171 This was the view from our hotel.

SDC11163 before we left we celebrated a certain someone's 12th birthday.

SDC11178

and this evening we've been watching the firework display over the sea.

While we were away we were able to spend an evening with David in Bath, it was nice to catch up a bit even if it was far too briefly.
