Here is the yarn I picked up, the charcoal grey is for my hubby and the yellow is for mom...
After the yarn shop we went over to the flea market to do some browsing. I think that we went in circles, this place is huge, almost too big to really find anything unless you have all day to spend there, and we had to get back home to get the rest of the family and head to my in-laws for our Christmas with them.
But I did get this...
A little jar full of vintage buttons, I am sure that I can figure out something to do with these tiny gems, if not they make a cute decoration for my sewing room!
Here is what my wonderful mom-in-law gave me while we were there for our Christmas...
Some embroidery hoops and floss that she had tucked away in her sewing room that were her Grandmothers. I am so lucky to have a mother-in-law that I not only love, but also has so much talent, I swear she can turn an old shower curtain into a beautiful dress for all of her granddaughters, and yes she has done that! It is nice to have someone who can show me a few things and then "let go of the bike" so to speak, after she thinks I have got it figured out. She is coming over tomorrow and showing me how to use my 1959 sewing machine, that I find quite intimidating! God Bless her!
Well, that's just about it for the day, my husband is making fun of me and saying that I am addicted to blogging, so I should get off of here and spend some time with him, even if it is watching Monday Night Football!!! The things you do for the person you love I tell ya!
xoxo~Meg
