Lucky in Love!

I just wanted blog for a minute about the man that I love...
Gabe and I were sweethearts about 13 years ago, it was a summer romance that came to an end faster than I wanted it to. He was 19 and between his Freshman and Sophomore year in college. I was 18 and working full time for an Orthodontist in Liberty, Missouri which was quite the distance from were he spent that summer. We would see each other on the weekends and talk on the phone when we could, he wasn't much of a phone man, (still isn't), but eventually it ended. We went our separate ways, married other people, never to talk again. I had 2 of my 3 beautiful children with my first husband, Ryan and I wouldn't have changed anything because even though he and I didn't see eye to eye, we made some beautiful children, and I always thanked him for that. Gabe married a girl he met later in college and married her soon after graduation, they had no children together. Life happened, Ryan and I separated and at that same time Gabe and his wife had also. I was now working for a Nursing Home in our hometown as the Administrative Assistant when one day Gabe's father walked in, he had started a Bible study group with the Residents on Thursday mornings. I hadn't seen him since his son and I dated 13 years prior, but I quickly ran over to talk to him, we talked for a little bit about what he was doing for the Residents, then the conversation quickly turned into a conversation about his son Gabe. He had told me that Gabe was going though a divorce and he gave me his email so that I could talk to him about what I was going though as well. So I emailed Gabe that afternoon not knowing if he would reply, but awhile later I noticed his name in my inbox, I admit that I got butterflies when I read his name. We emailed daily for a couple of weeks and called each other, he was still not a phone person, but we managed to talk for hours at a time about nothing. Eventually we started dating, I introduced him to my children, Ragan and Nash and long story short, we married on November 15, 2008. 9 months later, came Izzy, like I mentioned in a previous post, she is our honeymoon baby!
I am so blessed to have this man in my life, he has made me a better Christian, person, wife and mother and I just can't say enough how much I am in love with him! He has taught me that when you put GOD first in everything that you do, all things are possible, that the closer we are to GOD the closer we will be as man and wife! He is truly inspiring! This is why I am lucky in love!
