{SPD} Sniffles & Snuggles

Hey there! I've got another SugarPea Designs peek for you today! This set is called Sniffles & Snuggles and is oh-so-sweet! The adorable little one with her menagerie of stuffies, all with their own tissues, is just beyond precious!

This is quite a large stamp, but I don't want anyone to feel intimidated by the size and detail! This honestly is lovely to colour up, and it works great for paper-piecing as well! You'll see that a lot of our girls pieced the quilt (and even pillow) to save a bit of time with the colouring!

I kept this card super-girly in the colour palette and also added some seam binding, a vintage looking button tied with twine and a delicate border die in white. I also softened it all up with sponging and added the wee sentiment tucked in along the side of the main image panel.

{SPD} Undying Love

Today I am absolutely thrilled to be sharing a card I made with SugarPea Designs sweet sneak peek set, Undying Love. This set is such a must-have, especially with Halloween just around the corner! Now this is actually an anniversary card that I made for my hubby. We celebrated our 15th Anniversary about a month ago, and like a good little wife I totally forgot, and like a good hubby, he was away at work in another province. But as sad as that all sounds, we are very happy and I guess just really secure in our marriage LOL! So here is my man's card, that I will give to him when he gets home from this hitch (so if you are reading this Craig (YA RIGHT! SNORT!) then quickly look away and go back to putting your feet up on your desk and talking on the phone!)

I stamped these two lovebirds in memento and coloured with copics and pastels and distressed the edges with ink and machine stitched. I heat embossed the sentiment on the green DP panel in black EP. I added a twine bow topped with a tiny lil batty button.

ACK! Aren't they (I mean, us) just the CUTEST!! I am a huge Halloween FUH-REAK and love anything creepy and zombies are soooo awesome! I am so in love with this set- wait til you see all the hilarious sentiments!! You're going to DIE! ;)

Check it out! I even finished the inside on this one!! Hehe- that never happens ;) But I wanted to write some sweet stuff in there, and use another of the cool sentiments, so I did give it a quick finish. I left lots of space for writing and just used some scraps from the card front. I kept the sponging and stitching up so that the inside is nice and cohesive with the front!

{SPD} Teacher's Pet

Eek! We are so excited to share this month's SugarPea Designs with you! This month we have 5 new sets comin' at ya (plus our super cool new stamp/die storage envelopes which are AWESOME!! Seriously strong and durable and not flimsy AT ALL!!).
The set we are sneak peeking today is called Teacher's Pet and it's perfect for all the back to school stuff going on! I am excited because I know it'll be great for thank you cards, year end card, and lunchbox notes as well! Lots of little accessory images too, that i think will work nicely for all you Project-Lifers and scrappers out there!

I coloured the bear with copics, did some distress sponging, added a custom sentiment (this one I created using bits and pieces to form a sentiment that I wanted), and some twine. I also did a wee bit of machine stitching since I didn't matt my DP.

{SSSC} You Rock!

Hey there!! It's good to be back to old blog-o-sphere after a bit of a break! I have not stamped or blogged in about 3 weeks, although it may have seemed like less to you, since I had a ton of stuff pre-posted. But I've been on hiatus for good reason! We went on a little family vacay for 2 weeks. We took the boys to visit family on Vancouver Island, stayed on a gorgeous lake with our boat and had some major fun on the water and at the beach, and went down into Washington and Idaho for some back to school shopping! The above picture of the boys was taken in Jasper, Alberta at the summit of a REALLY big mountain! The boys were conquerers ;)

We had tons of fun and it's always sad to end the summer holidays and get back to the swing of things with the start of school and changing of the seasons :( My baby started Kindergarten this year, so for TWO FULL DAYS a week, this mama is alone and lonely :( But I'm sure I'll get used to it and with time, grow to enjoy those days of freedom ;) Or so they say! I don't believe it just yet!

Now onto some crafting!!

I've used a Paper Smooches stamp set for this card. It's called Knick Knacks and I purchased it from i {heart} papers. I used an older Crate Paper pad (I think it is called Toy Box) and added some enamel and wood dots.
