{KKS} Ships Ahoy!

Ahoy there! This weeks challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is….Ships Ahoy! We've got a lot of nautical, beach, ocean, and summertime fun stamp sets, so you have lots of KKS stamps to choose from!!

I've used one of our little girls from the set Ahoy, Sailor! I adore this set…I think I've used every image from this set twice! There are so many trendy paper pads and embellishments out right now that co-ordinate great with this set. It's worth it to have in your stamping arsenal. And the font in this set is soooooo awesome!

{SPD} Right up my Alley...

I've used Spare Me, from our Beanstalk Collection. I love this set. It's HUGE. Tons of sentiments and accessory stamps. Lots of room for creativity to SOAR with this set!! :D

Of course, I've used copics! Surprise Surprise! ;) I tried to make that marbly bowling ball look on the ball. I think (??) I achieved that…I see now that I forgot the little flag I intended to tuck in behind those pins :/ Oh well! I embossed the sentiment in white and of course did not think to use the embossing buddy, so I have little sprinkles of white powder everywhere. And people wonder why I hate embossing. sigh…..

{KKS} Hot n Sexy!

Okay, so this weeks challenge at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps is Hot n Sexy….you may think it strange that I used a fishing themed stamp, but my hubby think women that fish, shoot guns and drink beer are sexy! I used River for my card, and with her 'cheeky' swim suit, I think she's pretty dang sexy! lol

She's coloured with Copics and I used my markers to draw in some cat tails around her custom muck boots! I added some distressing, machine stitching and a wooden button tied with rustic jute twine. THe wave die is my Taylored Expressions.

{KKS} Lil' Pumpkin

Today I have a card to share with you that features one of our newest releases from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, Hey there, Punkin'!

I used some MFT fishtail flag dies and circle die, as well as some rustic jute twine to make a simple bow embellishment. I used distress ink to sponge around the panels. She was coloured with Copics and pastels.

{SPD} Anything Goes

I've used a portion of the Tweet Friend set from our Sugar Snap Collection (you can see the full stamp set graphic below). I added a vellum sentiment banner and a nest die cut (from The Cat's Pajamas) and filled it with an egg embellie from the dollar store! I love this Simple Stories Hello Baby paper for these soft and sweet cards!

{TI} Farewell Tiddly Inks!

Hey there! This post is a bit of a bittersweet one for me! Sadly, this is my last post as a Tiddly Inker :( I have really enjoyed being a part of such a wonderfully supportive and kind hearted group of ladies that make up the TI team….this was a place to go when you needed a lift! But the time has come for new designers to get to be a part of such a great team, working for a great lady, Miss Christy Croll, and designing with some oh-so-amazing images!! That part makes me happy- and seeing all of the excitement and enthusiasm over the new DT call made me really see that change is good! So thank you, all you I fans and cardmakers that submitted projects for the call! You really made my departure much sweeter! I know you all can't be chosen, but keep trying! And keep being excited and passionate for your craft! To those of you who were asked to join Tiddly Inks- Congratulations!!! I am so happy for you :) Enjoy this journey…..Thank you to all my FRIENDS that I have made on this team. Thank you for your kind words and support. Thank you to Christy, for choosing me on the last call and for being a person with integrity and heart! You're in a class all it's own! And for putting up with my damned email issues for the past year! Haha!

Now, on with my card! 

I've used Wryn- Sunny Day. I coloured her with copics, and added some pastels in there for some depth. I sponged the panels with distress ink and used my piercer around the image panel. The dies are MFT. The CS is Hot Fudge, as well as the button (both MFT). I used a PTI stamp for the sentiment, stamping in Memento Luxe Espresso Truffle. The ribbon us SU and jute twine was added to the button.

{PPC/Xyron} Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Perfect Paper Crafting and Xyron blog hop!

I have a really fun and regal card to share with you today! I've used products from both of these amazing companies (which I'll chat about a bit later) as well as some great die cuts from Reverse Confetti: Tag Me, Too confetti cuts, Arrow confetti cut (with the centre fletchings cut out), and Love Note confetti cut (also what I cut the scallop border from).

I used a circle embossing folder on the cream panels and sponged distress ink to soften everything up. I cut the scallop tag again from vellum and loosely adhered it to the cream tag. Those gorgeous gold words were cut from gold foil paper and then ran thru the Xyron 2.5" Create a Sticker to get easily adhere them to the vellum! No mess- easy peasy!

I always use my Perfect Paper Crafting Mini and Perfect Cutting Mat to achieve those perfect layers. My preference is a 1/16" border, but you can choose one of many options, all with the same tool! Use Jenny5% to get a discount in the store :)

{KKS} August New Release Hop!

I added some machine stitching and sponging around the edges. I used some MFT dies and popped a twine bow button down in the corner. I used my handy Perfect Paper Crafting mini tool, to get my perfect 1/16" border around my patterned paper. Use Jenny5% at the checkout to recieve your discount! {KKS} Vampire Queen

Welcome back to Day TWO of the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps AUGUST previews!!! We are continuing on with the creativity and fun with two frightening new Moonlight Whispers stamp sets by Annie Rodrigue!! We think you'll agree that these new stamps are WICKED!!

Today the Krafty Girls and I are thrilled to share with you....VAMPIRE QUEEN and DRAGON QUEEN!! You'll find so many gorgeous creations on today's hop featuring both new images and sentiments from the set! We know you are just going to LOVE these awesome ladies and be inspired by all the incredible designs!! Each set comes with the fabulous queen image stamp, plus THREE coordinating sentiments PLUS an accessory stamp!! They're spook-tacular!

I've used Vampire Queen and coloured her with Copics, adding glossy accents, clear glitter and pastels. I've done some distressing along the paper edges and tucked in behind her, you'll see a gold foil paper spider-web die (MFT die). I added the spider to the front, and adhered some TE red tiny twinkles to the eyes. I also added some gold and black tiny twinkles here and there. A rustic black jute twine topped with a grey adhesive back Prima crystal finish off this card. One of the little sentiments is stamped down in the corner.

{SPDSS09} Gnome Sweet Gnome

Hey there! Today I have a fun card to share with you that features a really great stamp set from SugarPea Designs….I am so excited because, even though this was one of SPD's very first sets from our first release, this is the first time that I've inked up the door from Gnome Sweet Gnome…..a lot of 'firsts' there!! ;) 

I am honestly tickled with the way this came out….I love challenging myself to colour things that are outside my comfort zone (which consists of mainly human characters and nothing else!)…..a door is not something that I thought I would enjoy colouring. But I DID! I did a LOT! And guess what else? Doors take less time to colour than a person with 500 different sections of hair! Victory!!  For the inside of the card, I used just the gnome character that comes with the set, just to tie in the whole 'gnomey' sentiment, so the recipient doesn't think I'm strange;)

I've used Twinkle Twinkle on my card today. I've accented with enamel dots, machine stitching and MFT dies/twine. I sponged a cloudy sky using MFT die and SU ink. My DP is by MME, as well as those enamel dots.
