{TI} Fishing Wryn

It's Fabulous Friday over at Tiddly Inks, and I'm using one of my fave characters Wryn for my card today. This is Wryn- Fishing Expert....I wish I looked this cute fishing ;)

I used some spica pens and speckled the fish before I covered him with a coat of glossy accents. It has a really neat effect IRL! I found this fish lure DP in my stash...Dies and twine are MFT and I used a wooden button and some brown brads for accents.

{KKS} Wood You be My Friend?

I'm on board for this week's Wonderful Wednesday with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I've used this cute little Pinnochio from the set Once Upon A Time 2.
I added some MFT twine and button. He was coloured with copics and pastels and I added some glossy accents here and there. I also did a bit of piercing, which is a fun touch for masculine cards I think!

{SSSC204} I Miss You

ERMAGERD!!!!!! Meet Mimi! Is this the cutest little chick you ever did see or what??! I bought this second hand from a friend (but you can find it brand new HERE). I loved adding the glossy accents to her big ol' spectacles!! She's of course coloured with copics, with a bit of pastel added in for depth of shading. The polka dot die background is MFT. CS is MFT and SU. I added some enamel dots and used a few DP scraps. Easy Peasy.

{KKS/C4C/DS} Love is In The Air!

Hey!! I have a card for you today that combines THREE challenges! It's rare that this happens!! This week our challenge from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is 'love is in the air'- make a love themed card!! KKS is also sponsoring The Deconstructed Sketch (#135)! I have used Hannah Hearts and the DS layout for my lovey card....

This is also my last post as January's guest designer at Crazy for Challenges. Their challenge is a nice colour combo of AQUA, PINK, CREAM and CHOCOLATE!

{SPD} Our Very First Challenge!!

Hey there! Exciting post for all you colour-happy stampers out there! The very first SugarPea Designs challenge is coming atcha!!! It's Anything Goes- the only rules are that you must use a SPD stamp!!

AWE- collective sigh of cuteness!! I love this little gopher from...wait for it....Go-pher It!! Coloured with copics, paper-pieced hard hat, glossy accents, rock candy glitter and stickles added for shine! I also used some MFT and TCP dies, and a PTI button tied with a double black jute bow as well as black jumbo brads. I used two of the sentiments that come with the set and combined them.

{KKS} Scootin' By!

Eek!! So excited about today's sneak peek from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! We have a new Moonlight Whispers set from Annie!! YAY!! The set features a cute in a convertible, and this Vespa girl, which I have chosen to work with today!

She's of course coloured with copics and pencils and I added glossy accents here and there and some glitter on the scooter lights. I added some flag dies (MFT) and a button tied with a double bow (both MFT) and some snazzy enamel dots!

{KKS} My Prince

Welcome back to day TWO of our JANUARY Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks!!! Today we are excited to share ANOTHER supah cute new set by artist Cheryl Alger!! Here comes another one.....FAIRYTALES!!! We are sharing samples today featuring.......ONCE UPON A TIME 4!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this lil' Prince stamp! Perfect for cards for my three boys, who I always call my Little Princes!! I coloured him with copics and added pencil shading, spica gold pen, glossy accents and rock candy glitter to the crown. A few dabs of white pen on the rosy cheeks for highlights.....hmmm...maybe he's blushing ;) Dies are by MFT, as well as the button and twine. I also did some fun piercing, which Krafty Girl Jessie has done a little tutorial on! You can see that on the KKS blog HERE!

{KKS} Bear Hugs!

Welcome to day ONE of our JANUARY Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks!!! Today we are excited to share TWO supah cute new sets by artist Cheryl Alger!! We'll be showing you the first set today and the second tomorrow! You enjoyed last month's sets so much that we are continuing with a fabulous theme.....FAIRYTALES!!! We are sharing samples today featuring.......ONCE UPON A TIME 3!!

I coloured up the sweet Goldilocks with my copic markers, adding pencil shading to the image. I applied some glossy accents to her bow, eyes, bear's nose, heart, and her shoes. And then I proceeded to drop and roll my paper-piercer right through the wet shoes (why? There isn't even paper-piercing on my card!! I must have  picked up the dang thing just to drop it....sigh). Freaked out. Reapplied glossy accents. I've had these little button brads forever and never used them. They never seemed to be 'right' for a card until now! I think they totally work for this one!! Love it when that happens!! Paper is by MME, ribbon is SU and dies are MFT.

I used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch for my layout.

{SSSC202} Let's Chat!

Hey there!! Got a brand new sketch from SSSC this week. I've paired it up with one of my FAVE new stamps from SugarPea Designs: Tin Can Chat! 

I stamped the second part of the stamp on the inside, piecing the dress and only colouring the cheeks.

{KKS/C4C} Skinny Inspiration!

This title has nothing to do with weight loss. But it's got a lot to do with skinny cards and some gorgeous photo inspiration!
I am combining this weeks Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge (of which I am your lovely hostess!) with Sarah's Skinny Card (3.5x5.5) challenge over at Crazy 4 Challenges.....

And here's my card, using the snazzy image Trixie Tapper. She is coloured with Copics, and I added Gold Stickles to her jacket and hatband. I used some silver and gold CS from SU, MFT dies and twine, a glitzy button from my stash and a glitter gem on that silver bow. 

I followed this weeks Deconstructed Sketch  (133) for my layout.

{SPD} Tin Can Chat

Welcome the the fourth, and final day of Sweet Sneaks from SugarPea Designs! This week has felt like a whirlwind of cute-ness and I'm so happy and honoured to have been amongst the first stampers to launch this amazing little company :)

Today we are showing you another fun one from the Sweet P Collection (same as our Bushel & a Peck set) called Tin Can Chat!! 

These two girls actually are one stamp. I stamped them out, coloured and cut straight down the middle and reversed the orientation of the girls. I then used twine (MFT) and fabric stiffener to make a curly cord. I used a white paint pen to cover up the string part of the stamp. I used Glossy Accents over the tin cans, boots and eyes (on the open eyed girl). Dress and shirt were paper-pieced. I used an MFT die and woodgrain stamp to make the sign with the Hello, Friend sentiment stamped in versafine ink. I stuck some enamel dots here and there, as it was looking a little drab.
Oh yeah, white accents were applied to their cheeks and the boots using a sharpie white paint pen. I love the big ears on these kids!! and their gappy teeth!! Typical 6 year olds ;)

{SPD} Go-pher It!

Ermagerd!!! Is this little fella the bee's knees, or what??? I think this is most definately the cutest gopher in history. I live in farmland, Alberta, where we despise gophers more than almost anything, so I think it's safe to say that he is the one and only gopher that's ever had a place in my heart! I also love diamonds, so this is a winner ;)

I coloured him with copics, adding glossy accents and rock candy loose glitter here and there. Dies are by MFT, as well as the buttons and twine. I used two sentiments in the set, pairing them together using red and black ink. The card layout is an older Deconstructed Sketch that I've went back to more than once!

{SPD} Pizza My Heart

We are on Day Two of SugarPea Designs (SPD, for short) Sweet Sneaks....Today we are featuring my boyfriend Luigi, in his debut stamp set Pizza My Heart....swoon... Isn't he the CUTEST thing ever!! I love a man that can cook. Plus I think he's chubbier than me, so that's a huge bonus. Takes the pressure off. lol

I coloured him with Copics and added some pastel shading. I used some Glossy Accents on his eyes, shoes, buttons and the pizza toppings. The DP is actually from a few different Christmas pads that were sitting on my desk. Twine is by MFT. I distressed the paper edges a bit with Distress Ink and sponging. I LOVE the sentiment and stamped in in Versafine Black Onyx ink. I am going to give this card to my pizza loving son for his 10th birthday next month. Whah???? I have an almost 10 year old?! There's no way. I'm not near old enough for that :s

{TI} CAS Superboy!

Our challenge this week at Tiddly Inks is a Clean and Simple one! That's right, make a CAS card! Not so easy for some of us ;)
I used the adorable My Super Boy for my card today. I printed out on Xpress It blending CS, and coloured with Copics and pastels.

I used some fun 12x12 superhero themed paper from Pebbles. The sentiment is just a strip of DP I cut from one of the patterns! That, as well as Superboy, are popped up on foam tape.

{SugarPea Designs} Bushel And a Peck

 EEK! I am soooooo very excited for my post today! Today marks the very first Sweet Sneak from SugarPea Designs!!! I am so excited for my friend Wendy's new creative endevour and beyond thrilled to be standing by her side on this journey :)

Today the Sweet Peas are showing off an absolutely adorable set that is sure to steal your heart! Introducing Bushel & a Peck! This is such a versatile set, with so many sentiments and basket add-ins, as well as a flag you could incorporate. Seriously good for ANY occasion! I used the apples in my basket and joined up some of the individual words to make a teacher card.
