Hi there! I am back again with another card for my October guest spot with Whimsy stamps!
This time I am using a really pretty stamp set from their October release called St. Nicholas.
For my card today, I stamped the image, sentiment and stars in waterproof black ink, and watercolored it with Distress markers. I also splattered around the images with some of the same colors that I used to paint with. The paper that I used is Master's Touch watercolor paper from Hobby Lobby.
After everything was dry, I mounted my watercolored panel onto a top folded dark gray card base.

Whimsy Stamps: Snow Flurry
Hi there! It sure doesn't feel like Snow Flurries around here, it's hot, but I'm hunkered down in the craft room with the AC turned up high pretending like it's fall. That's the best I can do :)
I am excited to share a card with you today that I created with a new set from the October Whimsy Stamps Release called Snow Flurry.
So for the background here, I stamped the pretty snowflakes in different Distress inks onto Master's Touch watercolor paper. I then took a wet brush and went around the edges of the stamped images to soften them and give them a watercolored look. After it was dry, I speckled it with each color of the different inks that I had stamped the snowflakes in.
I aslo stamped a couple of the snowflakes in the same colors and cut them out with the Snow Flurry Dies. I added those to my watercolored panel with foam tape.
For the sentiment, I embossed it onto some dark gray card stock with white embossing powder. It looked a little plain to me, so I also speckled it with some white ink too. I adhered those to my panel with foam tape. And lastly I added some clear sequins.

Whimsy Stamps - Oh What Fun
Hello there! I have a fun card to share with you today that I created using a stamp set called Oh What Fun and the coordinating What Fun Die set from the Whimsy Stamps September release! This stamp set is available now in the Whimsy Stamps store.
This is a cute stamp set! I had fun coloring all of the images with Copic markers! I think I used every image in the set on my card. I love how they all worked together so well to create my little Christmas snow scene. I first watercolored a background on watercolor paper using Peerless watercolors. Then like I said, colored all of the images, and cut them out with the What Fun coordinating dies.
I adhered everything with foam tape except for the line of trees, I just glued those down flat.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Whimsy Stamps - Abstract Christmas
Hello there! I have a fun card to share with you today that I created using a stamp set called Abstract Christmas from the Whimsy Stamps September release! This stamp set is available now in the Whimsy Stamps store.
I am not one to distress edges or used blend inks around the edges of cards or tags, but recently I have been into Mixed Media a little bit and experimenting with some fun techniques, so I decided to try a little bit of that on this card. I first embossed the circle tree from the Abstract Christmas stamp set onto watercolor paper with white embossing powder. I then used Peerless watercolors to loosely watercolor it. I used several different shades of green. When it was dry I speckled with more of each of the different greens.
I cut the panel down a bit and distressed the edges with an Exacto knife, then loosely painted some of the same shades of green around the edges. I stamped the sentiments with black ink on white card stock, cut them out and added them with foam tape. The gold dots on the tree are Crystal Nuvo Pale Gold.
You can find the Abstract Christmas set HERE in the Whimsy Stamps Store!

Whimsy Stamps Penguin and Bear
Hello! I am thrilled to be guesting with Whimsy Stamps again this month, and I have a cute card to share with you today!
I'm using an adorable stamp called Penguin and Bear.
I stamped this cute image on Bristol Board and colored the main image with Copic Markers. I watercolored the background around the image with Peerless watercolor.
I cut my colored panel out with a stitched rectangle die, and mounted it onto a card base that I had covered with patterned paper to match. I added a few tiny white dots with acrylic paint. The sentiment is from the Snowman and Friends stamp set.

Whimsy Stamps - Naughty Puppies
Hello! I am thrilled to be guesting with Whimsy Stamps again this month, and I have a cute card to share with you today!
I'm using an adorable stamp set called Naughty Puppies for my card. I have puppies on the mind right now, because my brother's Australian Shepard just had nine puppies, and my daughter is getting one of them. We already have three dogs, but we love our pets, and she has been wanting a dog of her own for a long time now. I'm kind of excited too, because there is nothing better than a new puppy in the house!
Isn't that an adorable image? So fun! Anyway, I used Bristol Board for my stamping. I really love it because you can use any medium on it. It blends wonderful with Copic markers and also for watercoloring and Distress Inks. I colored the cute little guy with Copic markers, then I watercolored in the background.
I cut my design out with a stitched rectangle die, then mounted that with foam tape onto a card base covered with pink gingham paper. I then added a few little drops of Nuvo Crystal Clear drops.
You can check out the Naughty Puppies stamp set HERE at Whimsy Stamps!

A Whimsical Little Snowman
Hello there! I am sharing a super cute card today that I made for my guest spot with Whimsy Stamps!
So I stamped this cute little guy on Canson Bristol Board and colored him with my Prismacolor Colored pencils. I added a few highlights with some white acrylic paint, and some snow with Stickles.
I stamped the sentiment which is from WPlus9 underneath and cut the panel out with a stitched rectangle die. I mounted this to a card I covered with patterned paper.
The stamp I used for my card is Candle Light and you can find it HERE.
Be sure to check out all of the cute designs at Whimsy Stamps!

Whimsy Stamps Guest Designer
Hello! I hope you all are enjoying the last bit of weekend here! I am excited to be guesting with Whimsy Stamps this month, and I have my first card to share with you today! They have some really cute images, that are so much fun to color!
I chose this adorable stamp called Oak Tree Girl to work with for my first card. She is probably supposed to be colored for fall, but since it's Springtime, I decided to go with some brighter colors. I colored her with Copic markers, and added some accents with white acrylic paint.
I used some patterned paper I had in my stash to cover my card base then layered the colored image on top of that with a large piece of Fun Foam. I also added a few sequins to finish it up!
Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to visit Whimsy Stamps to see all of the fun images they have in their store!
