More Lawn Fawn Cuties and New Ornaments!

Hello Friends and Happy Thursday!

I have a few more of my Lawn Fawn cards to show today!

These were created with the Life Is Good stamp set and matching dies from Lawn Fawn. The stitched mat is also from Lawn Fawn and the big yellow sun is from Hero Arts. I colored everything with my Copic Markers.

I want to thank you all so much for your sweet comments about my new mini ornaments, and I want to thank you for buying them too! Now I have stamp money! haha! So happy!

I have added some new full size ornaments to my store this morning, and I want to let everyone know, that while I do not do custom orders, I will accept things like " do you have anymore butterflies" or "if you had a purple house I would probably buy it".  I'm okay with that kind of thing ;) So most of these I just put on are because of statements like  the ones above, except I made up the purple house one :)

Anyway these are FUN!! :D

If you want a closer peek you can find them at

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with some Festive Friday Fun!

Hugs,

Kay :)

New Mini Ornaments added to My Etsy Store

Hello dear friends!

I had a lot of people wanting to know if I was going to add the mini ornaments I showed in one of my last post to my store. Well, I was making them for my own little tree, but since I had so much interest I made some to go in my store.

I just added ten new minis to the store today! You can check them out at My Joyful Moments Etsy Store if you're interested :)

They each measure approximately 2 inches in diameter and they are only $6.00 each!

Here are just a few previews of some of the ones I put on:

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I'll be back tomorrow with new cards!

Kay :)

Butterflies and Little Houses!

Hello dear friends!

I just wanted to pop in here and let you all know that I have added a few new ornaments to my Etsy Store.

I have lately been obsessed with butterflies and little houses :) I'm having a real hard time not keeping them all though. I keep telling myself, I can make more, but I really have a strong aversion to making the same thing twice, so when I really like one, I keep it! :D

I have managed to let a few of them go with the thought that I do have pictures and if I really want to, I could make another one :)

I've also finally released my hold on Christmas, and moved into Spring with some new pretty pastel and summery bright colors. I'm loving it and having so much fun with these!

Here's just a few of the new ones I've added. If you want to see them all you can check out my Etsy Store here.

Okay the little house is still a bit Christmassy, but I am working on some Springy flowery ones at the moment :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Kay :)

My heavens! I almost missed my Card Concept post! I am usually on the ball with this, and have my post scheduled days ahead of time, but something happened this week. I didn't even know today was Wednesday! I was still thinking it was closer to Monday or something. Thought I had scads of time! Oh well, it's still Wednesday, so technically I'm not late, right? ;)

The new challenge is monochromatic purple... did you hear that? Yes, the whole entire card must be in lovely shades of my favorite color... purple. Purple has been my favorite color since I was born. I love it! I don't like the pinky purple as much. My favorite shade is periwinkle purple, which is a tad bit on the blue side.

Here is the inspiration photo for this challenge:

And here is what I did with it:

All in lovely shades of purple :D The background squares are cut with a neat color blocking template from Taylored expressions. The flowers and lace I cut out with my Silhouette Cameo. The leaf and swirl are from Memory Box and the little corner photo holder thing is from My Favorite Things.

Stop by and see what the other designers have created and  I hope you'll join us for the challenge at The Card Concept!

Do you want to see a little peek of some things I've been working on?? Oh I am so loving working with my clay right now. I'm sorry to all of my card buddies, that I haven't been posting as many cards. I just can't pull myself away from the clay!

Here's a peek! :)

Springy things!! Yay!!

Have a wonderful happy rest of the week!

Hugs,

Kay :)

Festive Friday #29

Hello my friends!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful week!

It's time again for another challenge at Festive Friday!

I'm so sorry  that In linkz wasn't working properly last challenge. I hope that won't deter anyone from playing along with us this time around. I think we have  it all fixed now :)

Here is the gorgeous inspiration photo for this time around. Meredith picks out the most beautiful photos! I am finally giving some of my lovely WPlus9 stamps a good work out :)

Here is what I did with the inspiration:

All of the stitched panels are dies from Lil Inkers. I cut the arched window out of the white one with a die from Sizzix. The lacey border is an older stamp I have had for a long time from Recollections. I just recently rediscovered it and am loving it! Everything else is from WPlus9.

I hope you will play along with us at Festive Friday!

You can also check out the amazing talent from the other design team members at Festive Friday!

Also, I added a few more ornaments to my Etsy Store. I have had a lot of people encouraging me to make some Springy ornaments and some for other holidays, not just Christmas, so that's what I'm doing :) I am loving using some bright and fun Spring colors and I'm looking forward to doing something cute for fall and Halloween too!

Here's what's new in the Store:

I hope you all have a safe and happy weekend!

Hugs,

Kay :)

New Ornaments in My Etsy Store

It's Friday!  Yay!

I used to not care so much about Friday until I started homeschooling, now the kids and I live for Fridays! haha! Hope you all are having a good one!

I just wanted to pop in here before the weekend and let anyone who might be interested know that I added 12 new ornaments to my Etsy store

Here's a little preview.

I'm having so much fun making these and I am so thrilled that people like them!! I do have to save a couple out of every batch I make to keep for myself. I think this Christmas I might do a whole tree with nothing but these!

I can't believe I am already thinking about Christmas! haha! It'll be here before you know it though! I am having a seriously hard time believing that it's already April!

Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by my blog!
I hope you all have a safe and wonderful weekend!

Hugs,

Kay :)

My Etsy Store is Open!

Hello!!

I am so excited to announce that I have finally opened up my Etsy store! I have been busy making ornaments, photographing them, editing photos, making a banner and filling out all of that stuff you have to do to sell on Etsy :D Now I'm done and I have 20 of my ornaments all ready for sale!

Here is a small sampling of what I've put on so far.

If you'd like to see them all you can visit my store HERE.

Thank you all so much for the sweet comments, emails and all the incredible support you've given me about my clay ornaments. I also want to let you know that, it says that I only ship to the US, but I want to let my lovely Canadian friends who have expressed interest to know, that I will gladly ship to Canada too. I just have to keep this simple, because I get overwhelmed real easy :)

Polymer Clay Ornaments

Hello and happy Wednesday!

As promised, I am back today with some photos of what I've been obsessively working on lately. I can be very intense at times when I get going on something, and I have been so focused and intense working on these things.

I had an idea for these a couple of months ago, but I refused to get the clay out and try it. I love doing my clay work, but it's a lot of work to get the clay out of the freezer, condition it and mix colors. Then it's not something I can just run into my room and work on for tiny bits at a time, which is what I usually only get. But this idea just kept gnawing at me and gnawing at me until I finally threw my hands up in the air and ran to the basement and got the clay out of the freezer. If you haven't ever worked with polymer clay, I keep it in the freezer so that it stays soft and workable. Over time if it's just left sitting it will get hard and crumbly. Anyway, I got it out and spent one whole Saturday conditioning it and mixing my colors. Then I got to work on my idea :)

I must say I have been so thrilled with these. I have actually been designing them in Illustrator on the computer before actually creating them in the clay. In the past, I have always made cute little figures, like animals, snowmen, Santa's and Angels, so these are quite different from my norm. I actually got the idea from creating all of my designs with the Perler beads.  And my Mom and hubby teased me so about playing with those things. heheh!

So anyway, here are a few of my latest designs. I have worked on things, changed things around, and redid things, until I finally figured out a way to do this that works. I hope you enjoy seeing them!

My husband is a huge fan of my claywork. Out of all of the crafty things I do, he loves my clay the best. He always loves it when I get back into creating things with it. He thinks I should put some of these in my Etsy store. I'm thinking about it...

Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you've enjoyed seeing my latest creative endeavor. I'll be back soon with some cards! I just got a nice fat little package of new Lawn Fawn goodies, that I'm dying to play with!

Hugs,

Kay :)

Purple Onion Designs

Hello all!

I hope the week has started out fabulous!

I have not been making quite as many cards as I was. This is not because I have lost interest or even because my mojo has been missing. I actually am wanting to make cards very much, but something else has taken over my creating time and I can't stop! I am going to take a few pictures as soon as I can and post them on my blog so I can show everyone :) I can't wait! They are fun!!

But for now... I do have a fun little card I made with some super cute Purple Onion Designs stamps.

For this one, I used the adorable little squirrel Peanut  and the sentiment is from a group of three stamps called Sweet Offerings all from Purple Onion Designs.

The stitched circle die is from Lil Inkers and the flag die is from My Favorite Things.

So.... would you like a little sneak peek of what I've been working on non-card related? ??

Okay...

Okay, I promise to be back soon with some pictures of the whole thing! I've been having so much fun with them!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Hugs,

Kay :)

Preparing For The Holidays

Yes! Yes! It's that time of year! It's my favorite time of the whole year! I just wish I had more hours in a day to get everything done, and that it didn't zoom by quite so fast. I would love to be able to kick back and enjoy the holidays, but there is sooooo much to do!!

So I haven't been able to do a lot of card making in the past couple of weeks. ( sad) Although I have been enjoying what I'm working on very much!

Since I didn't have a card to share, I thought I would share some of the things I'm working on presently.

I am doing a December Daily album this year. I have done this every year for the past three years and I love it! It's so fun to do and the fam and I LOVE going back and looking at them to see what the previous Christmas's were like. I have always done mine digitally, as I am a digital scrapper from way back. This year I decided that I was going to do it traditionally with paper, stamps and dies. Oh my! I was really overwhelmed when I first started this. I had no idea what to do, or how to do it. I keep thinking the whole time, how much easier this would be if I could just do it on the computer. But... I persevered! I kept playing around with pages and adding paper and finally I think I have my head wrapped around this whole paper scrapping thing. haha! For now, I am just putting the base pages together. I have some alpha and number dies ordered, and I will go back and put the day and date on them with those. When December rolls around, I'll add my pictures for each day and do some journaling. Voila! I'm all done! I'm looking forward to doing this, but I do think I'm going to tackle my Project Life digitally for 2014 :)

Another project I have been working on is getting ornaments made for all of my friends and family. I have been working with polymer clay for almost 20 years now. Years ago before the children came into the picture, I sold them at craft shows and miniature shows around the country. I don't do the shows anymore; and I don't have the time or desire to create mass quantities, but I still love to get my clay out this time of year and create a few for our family and friends.

Okay so that is what I've been up to in my extremely small amount of free time :) Tomorrow is my day to play and I hope to get a few more ornaments made along with some gift bags to put them in.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Kay :)
