After Party Post

Hi all!  Thanks for stopping by my blog for my Your Next Stamp After Party Post!  Here’s my card for today:

I used the new Daffodil image and a sentiment from Monkey See, Monkey Do.  Daffodil was colored with Prismacolor colored pencils, and just a little bit of Copics on her skin.  The die cut panel die is from Spellbinders.

For my project today,  I played with one of my new die sets – Flower Fun Three:

 

As you can see, I cut the outline die out of gold and black cardstock.  I filled in the black outline with the gold petals and layered the gold outline behind it, slightly offset.  I finished it off with a Black Gumdrop (the largest size of gumdrops are perfect for these flowers!) and a sentiment from Whatnot Sentiments Two.  Finally, I added the panel over a couple die cuts from the Fancy Vine die set.  BTW, I cut the panel with the Journaled Weekly die set – the journal card is the perfect layering panel for an A2 sized card.

April New Release Sneak Peek

Hi all!  Tomorrow Your Next Stamp will be having it’s April New Releases Hop so today we wanted to give you a little taste of what’s coming out!  Here’s my sneak peek using the new Whatnot Sentiments Two:

I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches and several colors of sparkly gumdrops.  Here’s a little tip – if your gumdrops aren’t the exact color you want them to be, color them with alcohol markers.  For this card I colored a Sparkly Teal Gumdrop to be a little more blue-ish and I colored a Sparkly White Gumdrop yellow to match the colors of the patterned papers I used.

PTI Blog Hop

Hi all!  I’m squeezing in a last minute entry into the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.  This month’s theme is to get inspiration from embroidered patterns.  I got inspiration from this coin purse wallet and came up with this:

The flower was stamped with Beautiful Blooms and the vine and sentiment are from Beyond Basic Borders.  I stamped the images with colored inks and then pierced and hand stitched the coordinating embroidery floss colors over the stamped images.  Finally, stitched on a button and mounted the panel on foam tape.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Hi all!  I have another card using A Day For Daisies image because I wanted to play along with their challenge – Stripes:

I used the image Fairy Wish (sorry I can’t link it because it’s not in the store) and the sketch from Sketch Saturday (which BTW is sponsored by ADFD this week).  I printed her on Georgia Pacific cardstock with my Epson printer and colored her with Copics.  I matched her striped stockings to the striped background paper and picked the rest of the colors from the stockings.  I added a sentiment from Sentiment Sampler and a couple of YNS Gumdrops (colored with Copics to match).  I hope you like it and TFL!

You Are So Nice

Hi all!  I have a card for a few challenges today:

I used the pretty Hello Fairy image from A Day For Daisies and a sentiment from Word Salad.  I printed the image on Georgia Pacific cardstock with my Epson printer and colored with all pink Copics (except for hair and skin).  I airbrushed the background just a little with the R81 Copic also so it wouldn’t be so stark white.

Let’s Shell-Ebrate

Hi all!  Hope you’re all having a Happy Easter!  Today I have a card for several challenges:

I used Party Posse and the matching dies and a sketch from The Deconstructed Sketch.  The turtle was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It paper and colored with Copics.  I added a little detail with my new white Signo pen that I showed in one of my haul videos.  The background was cut with the Power Rays die and the little banner was cut with the Fishtail/Banner die set.

Easter Bunny

Hi all!  Today I have a card for a few challenges:

I bought this Polka Dot Parade #1 stamp and die set ages ago and just got around to using it for this card.  The sketch is from CAS(E) this Sketch and the color combo is from Color Throwdown.

I made the cloud masks with the Puffy Cloud die set from YNS and the grass was cut with the Grassy Edges die.  You can’t see it, but the tail is popped up on foam tape and has white flocking on it.  To finish it off, I added a sentiment from the same set and some Doodlebug sequins.

This is also for Simon Says Stamp – Happy Easter and/or Sweet Treats and Divas By Design – Easter/Spring.  Hope you like it and TFL!

1st Birthday

Hi all!  My cousin is having a party tomorrow to celebrate the first birthday of his son so of course I had to make a card!

I used a really old DCWV stack that I’ve had forever, the Heart Doily die set from YNS, and an old Quickutz die for the number 1.  The sketch is from Unscripted Sketches and the sentiment was done with the Birthday Basics stamp set from PTI.

This is also for Time Out Challenge – birthday with the added twist of a masculine birthday.  I know this card isn’t super macho, but it’s still meant for a male so I hope it counts!  I hope you like it and TFL!

Thanks Ever So Much

Hi all!  Today I have a card for the Mama Elephant Photo Inspiration Challenge.  I was inspired by the colors (white, blue, green and yellow) and the see-through quality of all the bottles:

I cut a shaped card base and a piece of vellum using the biggest die from the Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles.  Next, I stamped flowers and a sentiment from Water Blooms with Versamark and white Hero Arts embossing powder.  I colored the back of the vellum with Copic markers (BG02, Y13, and YG05), making sure to go outside the lines a little so the color would show on the front.  Finally I stitched the vellum panel on and left the threads hanging.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Rainbow Surprise

Hi all!  I have a card for a couple challenges today:

I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch, the Handwritten Borders stamp set and the Memory Box Distressed Grid stencil.  I sponged Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean Distress Inks through the stencil then gold embossed the sentiment over top of the grid.  I finished it off with some Studio Calico sequins.

This is also for Virginia's View Challenge – Stencil and Allsorts – No Flowers.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Happy Easter Card

Hi all!  I’m playing along with the YNS Fun Friday Challenge today.  Here’s the new sketch for April:

And the inspiration pic:

 

I used the sketch upside down for my card and took inspiration from the decorated eggs and came up with this:

I stamped the bunny from Smiley Happy Critter Crew Set Three and colored with Prismacolor pencils then fussy cut it out.  The egg shape is an oval Nestabilities that I stamped with a bunch of different A Muse|Studio inks and the Stripes and Stitching clear stamp set.  I made the sentiment from Happy Day Sentiments set and finished it off with some glittery gumdrops: Sparkly White (which I colored yellow with a Copic marker), Sparkly Pink, Sparkly Baby Blue, and Sparkly Lime Green.

REALLY Exciting News & Make It Monday

Yes, I do know it’s not Monday, but today I’m playing along with Papertrey Ink’s Make It Monday – stamping with watercolor mediums.  Buuuuuut, before I get to that, I want to burst with excitement because of this announcement!!  I wanted to win SOoooooo badly and I finally did this year!!  Yay!!

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming: I was playing with my watercolor crayons and having fun so I decided to make a little video:

And my sad attempt to finish the inside (which I almost never do, but really should work on!):

 

I used the Butterfly Dreams stamp set and matching die, the Bitty Dot Basics patterned paper and Sparkly Purple Gumdrops from Your Next Stamp.  The sketch is from the Sweet Sunday sketch challenge and I got my Neocolor II set through Amazon.com.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Bwak Bwak

Hi all!  Today I have a card made using the latest from Retro Sketches:

I don’t know exactly why, but the Bwak Bwak sentiment just cracks me up!!  All stamps are from the Color Me Happy stamp set from A Muse|Studio and the papers are from the Sweet Shoppe paper pad from Lily Bee Design.  I stamped the chick with black Memento ink and colored with Copics.  The bottom heart scallop was done with an old Martha Stewart border punch and the Bold Banner is from Mama Elephant.  I shortened the banner by cutting it into 2 pieces and layering them together – you can barely tell!

One great thing about this card – it’s for any occasion because Bwak Bwak could mean anything!  I hope you like it and TFL!
