A card, jewellery and our kitten named Lilly.......

Hi all, well another long time between posts,my youngest started school on Monday and she seems to be settling in well.I am a little tired at the moment and still trying to get into some sort of routine.I drop the girls off, then head off to the gym, when I get home I tidy up a little, get lunch, play with our kitten Lilly(who BTW wants lots of attention at the moment....lol....) and then it is time to pick the girls up.

Anyway, moving on,the card was a commissioned card and they wanted a simple Wedding card in lilac and this is what I ended up with.I wasn't sure of it at first, but it grew on me and the recipient loved it.

The jewellery I also made a while ago,I had no idea what I wanted to make so decided to play around with the beads and these are what I ended up with.

Now last but not least, our little kitten we named Lilly,we picked her up from the RSPCA on Sunday. We were going to get a kitten in a few weeks time for our girls but decided that our youngest needed her now,as we thought having a kitten might help her to settle into school and communicate with the teachers and other children. Our youngest is very quiet and doesn't like to talk to anyone, well the fist day of school she said to the teacher "I have a kitten"......lol......and she then told the teacher all about her kitten.Lilly is only 10 weeks old and so tiny, even the kitten collar she is wearing is a little too big.The bed she is in is the smallest I could find, and it is not very big either.

Time to go,I am off to pick the girls up shortly and need to disturb poor lilly, who is sleeping on my lap at the moment.Well, enjoy your afternoon.

Bizzy Becs April Challenge

Good morning all,it's time for another Bizzy Becs challenge and this months challenge is to create your own designer paper.I had to think about this one, and remembered I had cased a card a few years back that had used multiple stamps to create a beautiful vintage background. So the DP on this card was created using two large background stamps. The images are Whiff of Joy and have been masked to join them together,Bec does stock Whiff of Joy images, but does not have these ones.So if you would like them, just email Bec and she will see what she can do.The flowers, nestabilities and stickles are also available at Bizzy Becs, again email Bec if they are not in stock.

The winner of this challenge will win the Full Set of Miss Cherry Martini Digi Stamps and Full set of Daisy Collection Digi Stamps.Well best be going,it's 1.00am here and I am tired, will catch up with you all tomorrow.Enjoy your day!!

For the New Mr and Mrs
Good afternoon, yes I did finally make a card, as I mentioned in my last post I will be attending a wedding tomorrow and needed to have a card.My hubby told me to buy one,but that would not do for me so I sat down last night and finished this card.I did enjoy making this and am so glad I do not have to take a purchased card to the wedding.I am not really happy with the colouring of the grooms suit,my two middle grey markers ran out half way through colouring and a little panic set in....lol....so I had to use the black, darkest grey and the lightest grey.I am used to using 3 to 4 shades in these colours,as I don't like the black clothes to be completely black.Well at least I have a card and if thats the only thing I am not happy with, all is good. All the gorgeous flowers,Whiff of Joy stamps, craft concepts embossing folder and pearl pin were purchased at Bizzy Becs.....must say I love those gorgeous pins,I will have to get more of them. The brides veil is also covered in stardust stickles, but it is a bit hard to see.I have used the beautiful Kaisercraft To Have and To Hold DP in the background,I did love these papers so purchased quite a few and am so glad I did.I am still a little tired,so I decided to use the Friday Sketchers sketch this week,it made making my card so much easier and I did love the sketch.Though I was too late to enter the challenge.....never mind.BTW yes I have changed my blog background again.....lol.....I thought if I put a christmas one up it might give me a kick up the behind to get my chrissy cards done. Thanks so much for all your wonderful comments, enjoy your weekend.

Oldie But Goodie Day at Bugaboo and CLP Sketch Challenge
Hi all, thanks so much for your lovely comments over the last few days, you are all so very caring.I am almost back to my normal self and am itching to gets some cards and scrapbooking done.Luckily this card was completed about one week ago and I just had to wait for the day it was to be posted.I have been wanting to have a go at a Bugaboo wedding card and asked Jodie if she had some grooms, well this is one she sent me to play with and isn't he just a handsome groom for JJ.These are two seperate images, I have merged them together in Microsoft word. The groom is not in store and I am not sure at this stage whether he will go to the store or not...........so we will have to just wait and see.If you like JJ and want her she is available in the Bugaboo store.
I really enjoyed making this card and layering it with all those gorgeous flowers I  received from Bizzy Becs.I just can't get enough of Bizzy Becs flowers, every time there are new ones I am there buying them and I get most upset if I miss out.....lol......I have added Stardust Stickles to all the distressed edges and it looks so pretty IRL,the image has also been cut out with a spellbinder die, you can also get these products at Bizzy Becs.
I have been wanting to have a go at the CLP challenge for some time now and thought it was about time I did.I  love Chelsea's sketches, they are just brilliant and I really had fun playing along with this one. I turned the sketch sideways to do my card.I will be making sure I join in on more of these challenges and maybe even do a scrapbook page with one.Well off to check some more blogs and catch up,have a good evening.

Wedding Invitations
Good afternoon,I am so sorry I have not blogged frequently over the last two weeks, there have been so many things happening over here. This is the Wedding invitation my friend decided on,it was based on a design by Jak Heath which you can see here.My friend requested pink, chocolate and white as the colours and also wanted butterflies.I tried to incorporate a little chocolate, but it was always too dark with the colours chosen and really took the elegance away from the card.....so we stuck with the pink and white.I have embossed onto a beautiful white shimmer cardstock and then scored two lines to finish the embossing off.It took me a while to quite some time to adjust the writing to fit into the space, and also align it so it was exactly where it needed to be.........but I finally did it. I love the effect printed directly onto the card,it looks so professional.I will also be printing the envelopes, making place cards and wishing well cards for the inside of the invitation..........so alot of work ahead. The beautiful white pearls came from Bizzy Becs.Well must go,I have some blog hopping to do and then get to the gym.Enjoy your week.

Whiff of Joy Wedding

Good afternoon all,I hope you are getting some crafting in.I had to make another Wedding card for my friend who arrives here on Monday,as someone wanted the other that I made.......well this one is hers now as I don't think I will have time to make another.I wanted to use the same image(I love this one),but make a completely different card. This card is 11cm x 20cm,roughly DL size,I wanted to use my new Spellbinders Classic Frame and thought it would look better on this shape card.As you can see the frame is quite large and is also going to be perfect for some of my scrapbooking photos. The brides veil has been covered in dazzling diamonds and look so pretty IRL,and I love the embossing it adds so much texture to a card.Well,I wasn't chosen to be in the WOJ guest DT,but not to worry.......I am still enjoying making my cards and I am too old to be getting upset about these things......lol......Well must go and try and catch up on some blog hopping,if I don't get to you I eventually will,as my computer keeps freezing on me.Thanks for stopping by.

Wedding Congratulations
Hi all,I hope you have all been well and up to a lot of crafting over the weekend. My dear friend called me on Friday and said she was going to come to Sydney and stay at my place for a night in about three weeks,I can't wait to catch up with her.Anyway, she asked if I could make a Wedding card, for the Wedding she is going too while here.So I put aside the bulk cards I need to do,yet again.....lol.....and did this over the weekend for her,at least I know it is now done and I don't have to rush it at the last minute,I hope she likes it.
The idea of the image being in a photo came from Camilla and I thought it was fantastic and wanted to have a go myself. There is so much sparkle in this card,it's a shame you can't see it all in the photo. The background paper has sparkle on some of the words and I have added Diamond Stickles to the two outside flowers and the pine leaves,so pretty IRL.I have also added flowersoft to the carriage.I thought I might as well enter it in the Guest Design Team call at Whiff of Joy as well, the DT call ends September 19th,so you still have time to sumbit an entry.I am in the process of another Whiff of Joy card for my friend that is having the baby shower, and am designing her invites at the moment as well and thought I'd better not forget her card.......so I am doing it now.Well that's the longest post in a while, thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Whiff of Joy Guest Blog Hop DT Call(original post accidently deleted)
Hi again,I did post this card this afternoon, but my photo wasn't that clear so I did another. While trying to edit the photo I lost my post with all the lovely comments........arghhhhh.......I have now learnt not to play around with a post....lol...Can you delete a photo on a post and replace it?Oh well the photo is much clearer but still doesn't do the card justice.I made this card for the Whiff of Joy Challenge Special Guest Designer call. There is a fabulous sketch to follow and am sure I will use it again. The papers I have used are Francheville and they are beautiful, its a shame you can't really see all the sparkle on them. Thanks for looking and sorry for losing your comments and because of that I am unable to return a comment,I can't remember who visited.

Creative Inspirations - Something Hidden Challenge
Hi there time for another Creative Inspirations Challenge and the theme this time is something hidden, this weeks prize is a selection of embellishments......so start creating and join in, you've got to be in it to win it.I happened to see this only last week on a blog and was directed by that blog to a lady that had a tutorial and I decided that this was what I was going to make.It is very easy and just turns out beautiful. You could use it for Weddings,Engagements and Christenings...really whatever you like, you can also put money into it.If you would like to make one you can find the tutorial here.I do want to add some lace around the rim of the envelope, but I have to buy some the ones I have are too wide and not so delicate. The roses and hydrangeas came from Bizzy Becs.I couldn't add a rose to the insert it made it too bulky, so I settled for a Kaisercraft pearl, which still looks pretty. Before I forget, there are a few comedians amoung my blogging friends, you made me laugh with some of your pirate comments...lol...Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day.
