For Your Baby Shower
Hi all, well I thought I could get a start on the wedding invites, but was asked to make a baby shower card and this is what I came up with.I used the Mojo Monday sketch 126,I am late for the challenge but decided to have a go anyway.Well,I had to change it a little and put the flowers up the top or I would have covered the image.I am still undecided about whether I like this one,but it is growing on me.I also had some exciting news the other day,but I can't tell you....lol....I will share it with you very soon though, which is also why I didn't blog yesterday.Well going to get some lunch and then check what you have all been up to.Thanks for stopping by.

Woohoo........Baby Shower Invites are Finished

Good morning everyone......Woohoo,I have finally finished the baby shower invites and they are so cute.Bec from Bizzy Becs was selling some of her own goodies that she doesn't use and I snapped up this little High Hopes cutie for these baby shower invites....appropriate don't you think.I had no idea what I was going to do and remembered seeing this little jumpsuit/onesie card on Lauren Meader's blog you can find the tutorial here, now I did also want to use this image and didn't think it would work with this card.Well,I could not decide which I wanted to use and used them both anyway......lol......I had to make 18 of these,as well as the little name tags and just some plain stamped cards for some games.I was told to leave the name tags and game cards plain, well I couldn't leave the name tags plain.......lol........so I made more work for myself and shaped them with my border punch, inked them and added some curling ribbon.I wanted blue curling ribbon but didn't have any so I used gold which matched the gold safety pins anyway. The little image was coloured with my Stampin'Up! markers, which works quite well on Whisper White cardstock, but I can't wait to get my copics. So anyway, back to the 50 Christmas cards for me,I have already completed 10,so I only have another 40 to do.I hope you have a fantastic weekend and thanks for stopping by.

High Hopes Challenge #36
Good afternoon everyone, woohoo I finally got to squeeze in a challenge. This card was made for the High Hopes challenge, you have to use scraps to make your card.Well as you know,I keep cutting new sheets of paper because my ideas never quite fit the leftovers....lol....Now it may seem strange, but this was made for my friends 40th Birthday, she is having a jungle theme for her party and this being the only jungle image I have at the moment,I just had to use it.I have also made her a pretty card to keep, but this is going to be her fun card. These papers are the ones I had left over from making my Hannah card a few posts ago and I think they are perfect for this image.I am really pleased with myself, as this entire card was made from leftover scraps, even the card base and sentiment tag were already cut leftovers.I did not cut up one sheet of new paper.........woohoo,I will have to try and challenge myself with this again as it is a great way of using up your scrap papers.

High Hopes - On Guard Oberto
Good afternoon, here is the High Hopes card I promised in the last post.I really need to use these High Hopes images more often, they are so much fun to colour and they make fantastic cards.I first saw High Hopes images on Ila's blog and just wanted to get some there and then, this was one of the images I had seen Ila make a card with and here it is,I love the pirate theme.Ila is one talented lady and her colouring is brilliant, the crosses on the bandana was Ila's idea as was some of the shading spots.I have so many images, not just of High Hopes but other brands that haven't been inked yet,I am now determined to use them.Thankyou for all of your wonderful comments,it does make my day and some even give me a laugh. To those of you that don't comment I still thankyou for stopping by and having a look,I hope you enjoy what you see.

High Hopes Santa
Hello everyone,I am getting a head start on Christmas this year.I felt a little rushed last year,I usually have to make around 70 cards and decided that I would start designing some simple cards and pick the ones I would like to use this year.I love this High Hopes image,it is one stamp but you can cut them individually and it is very quick to colour.I am just not sure on the papers,I don't think they suit this image,I don't have a huge selection of Christmas papers as I wasn't really impressed with many of them last year.Although,I did love Basic Grey Wassail........I might have to try these papers with the image. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend.

High Hopes Challenge #25
Hi there all, here is the High Hopes Challenge card I promised.I first saw these stamps on Artfully Ila's blog and fell in love with them.I didn't think I would ever get any as I was a bit worried purchasing from overseas,I had never done it before and paypal seemed too complicated.......lol.......Well,as you can see I got them,it did get the better of me.Paypal was easier to use than I thought, after my husband explained what I was doing wrong........to my frustration......lol......I am looking forward to getting some more when I have the money.I decided to make a Christmas card, hopefully I will then have enough by Christmas, well that is the plan. I love this snowman he is very easy to colour.........like the easter bunnies, if you leave them white. The idea of the snow came from Ila,her snowman card is fantastic you can see him here. That's enough from me, enjoy your evening.

High Hopes Christmas Santa
Good evening, I am up to challenge number three for the week and the colour create challenge was to use red and green, perfect for a christmas card.I usually find at christmas time I am rushing to get all my cards done and it is very hectic. Some bloggers make one christmas card a week.......not sure if I will do that, but will certainly make one when I can, and hopefully I have a few before Christmas.I love this High Hopes Santa he looks very jolly and happy and he is quite easy to colour. It is hard to see but I have added dimensional magic to his belt and boots to give them a shine.I have also added frosted lace stickles to the beard and white parts of his clothes.Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

Mojo Monday # 76
Hi there everyone,I am back with a card that I promised, though I am not entirely happy with it.I really love this Basic Grey paper and most of it is covered,I even made the card bigger.....but it didn't help much.I wanted to use green ribbon as I thought pink would be too much, well this is the only green Ribbon I had and I am not liking that it covers the top bit of DP.So back to cardmaking for me,I am going to make another card with this Mojo Monday sketch and enter the one I like the best.I received my order of High Hopes stamps a few weeks ago and this is the first time I have had a chance to use them,I just love them they are so cute and fantastic to colour. There are also so many more stamp brands on the market I want,I will be saving for the rest of my life to get them........lol........Anyway,thanks for stopping by and leaving all of those lovely comments,I love reading them.
