Table Decorations and more parcels.......

Hi all, here are the table numbers I have been working on for the benefit night.I had to make 15 and now they are all finished.I cut the flowers, leaves and numbers on my silhouette. The small flower has 5 pieces and the large 6 pieces,I sponged ink around every piece to give them a bit more depth and then each piece had to be glued together to make the flower.I have also scored a border around the base, they fit the theme of the night which is green, yellow and daffodils.I haven't made them too fancy as they did need to be bold so everyone knows what table they are to sit at.Well the benefit night is nearly here and we will be able to enjoy all the hard work,I hope to post about the night on Monday,as Sunday I have a family function  to attend.

Below are the parcels I received today, thankyou so much to you all,we appreciate everything that has been donated. It got a bit too hard to put all of the cards donated onto the website(I have received so many) ,so I took them to my local gym and we have sold half of them already and have even had some cash donations........that is FANTASTIC!!!! I did get an email from one of my blogging friends a few days ago, wanting to just donate money, something that I did not think about. So my husband has put a donation button on the FUNDRAISING STORE,for those that do not want to purchase anything, but still want to be able to help.

Well off to get dinner started, will try and visit some more of you after dinner.Enjoy your evening or day for some of you.

Bizzy Becs Store Blog Challenge - Borders and Frames

Hi all,I have some new followers and would like to say thanks for following.I have tried to follow you all,but some of you don't have a link to your blog,so if you have a blog just leave me a comment with your blog address so I can stop by and see you.Well, onto my creation for Bizzy Becs Store Blog Challenge, the theme this month is Borders and Frames,so I decided to decorate a Shadow Box Frame for a friend who is having a baby. The frame holds a 4x6 photo, so as you can imagine there was not alot of room for decorating, but I managed to squeeze in as much as I could and I love the end result.I think I have covered Borders and Frames in this challenge, well for one the frame....lol....and the patterned border that will border the photo when it is placed inside............pretty clever, huh.Well, I thought so.The images are digis I purchased from Digi Stamp Boutique, the sentiment is a Verve Stamp and the flowers, rhinestones and pearls are available from Bizzy Becs.I do hope you join us on this challenge, there is a fab new prize up for grabs and don't forget to stop by and check out the GORGEOUS DT creations.

     Homemade Chrissy Gifts
Hi all,I am back to share some of my homemade chrissy gifts, that I told you about in my last post. Now these are very simple,I am so far behind this christmas that I had no time to colour images for these gifts. So I went back to some of the 3d stickers I bought years ago and some free images downloaded from Miss Cutie Pie,you can check out all her fabulous freebies here, and there you have it some quick and easy chrissy gifts. The cellophane has chocolate chip cookies in them. The jars are filled with the most DELICIOUS Sugared Cinnamon nuts,I warn you though DO NOT start eating them or you will not be able to stop.....lol.....I am worried about getting on the scales now...lol...you can get the recipe here. Now I don't have a slow cooker anymore,I gave it away as I was not using it,but you can still make these in the oven, if you do not have a slow cooker.I followed all the steps and then just popped them on a tray lined with baking paper and put them in the oven at 140 degrees celcius, for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours depending on your oven.Don't worry if they all stick together they will break apart.Enjoy......though I do suggest putting them into the jars ASAP,that way you will have some chrissy gifts to give away...lol...Thanks for stopping by.

Anything But A Card at Bugaboo
Good evening,I hope all of you had a wonderful Mother's Day and had time to relax or craft.Well,I did the washing, not very exciting........but hubby was at work and well the sun was out so I took advantage of that. Now onto my Bugaboo DT creation,it was my turn to make anything but a card and I chose to make a cupcake box.It is the first time I have made one of these and I had alot of fun making it.Cards are usually all I make as I find anything like boxes etc, never get used, they just hang around and collect dust(I know how bad is that). But,after making this I am sure I will make more, they make a fabulous little gift for a teacher or friend.Don't you just love the Bugaboo cupcake image,I had to use the one with a strawberry......YUMMO.If you love this Bugaboo cupcake image there are plenty more to choose from and you can get them here.BTW just in case you are wondering, there is a large wholemeal banana muffin inside the box.........which is now in the belly of my hubby and 4 year old.....lol.....

I have made the Scor Pal metric cupcake box and you can get the tutorial here,if you would prefer the original Scor Pal cupcake box you can get that tutorial here. On my sidebar I also have a link to the Scor Pal full project listing and WOW there are so many fantastic things you can make.If you want to take a look at the full project listing you can see that here

Well I have been to the gym and now I am getting on my treadmill, before I settle in for the evening.I only have another 4kg to loose and I am trying to push myself, so I can finish my diet and just start concentrating on maintaining my weight.I must say,I am now enjoying life alot more.I am not spending so much time in front of the computer or my craft desk(nothing wrong with that),but it was all I ever did,I never really wanted to go out and I always had trouble finding nice things to wear. Now I can wear so many things and even skinny jeans are looking pretty good.....lol....so now I am trying to balance cleaning, crafting and going out.If you have been thinking of dieting and haven't been sure,I say DO IT.......it will change your life for the better. It is hard work, but the end results are so worth it.Well that's enough chatter from me........I will be by later to see what you have been up to.

    Creatalicious Challenge and Bugaboo
Good morning all, sorry I have not been to visit you all yet,as well a doing the Wedding Invites,I had to finish my Creatalicious DT creation and then do the challenge post.Yes, I did leave it a bit late to get my DT creation done and then I decided to alter this tin to add to it,as if I don't have enough to do......lol....I am doing my post now,so I can catch up with you all in the morning and won't have to worry about the post.Well the challenge is up and running and this month our lovely DT member Kylie set the challenge and she wants to see you Create Something with your "Favorite Drink" in mind (hot or cold). So head on over to Creatalicious and check out the gorgeous DT creations, there is lots of inspiration there.

I saw these cute little coffee and tea images over at Bugaboo and just knew I had to use one of these,I just love that little coffee bean hopping out of his coffee mug.Though cappuccino's being my favourite he better stay there so I can have my shot of caffeine.....lol.....When I am not at the shops I settle for an instant cappuccino that I can make at home and so I made this little folder to fit 3 of them.I have seen these little folders around, but could not find a tutorial,so I made my own.Just to put some pressure on myself,I also decided what's a coffee without a cookie,so I altered a tin..........but didn't have the time to make the choc chip cookies to fill it.I got the idea of embossing the cardstock around the tin from No Time To Stamp, I just love the texture it adds to the tin. Thanks so much for visiting me while I have been busy, will catch up with you all tomorrow.

    Fleur de Lis Ornament
Hello all, today I made one of these Fleur de Lis ornaments,I have been wanting to make one for some time, but hadn't had the chance until now. This was originally made by Becca Feeken and I think it is just gorgeous, imagine a whole heap of these on your tree.It was a little fiddly, folding and joining the pieces.....but I got it in the end.If you would like to make one you can find the tutorial here and if you would like to check out Becca's gorgeous blog for more inspiration you can find it here. It is hard to see,but to give it a lttle sparkle I have added stickles around the points.Enjoy your weekend and thankyou for all of your wonderful comments.

    Creatalicious Challenge #5
Good afternoon,I am a bit late with posting my DT creation,I had another hectic day yesterday and I do hope that is the end of them.I had to do some more christmas shopping in the morning,be at an appt by 12.00pm finished there and got home by 1pm.I then started the challenge blog post and had 2 friends visit to pick up some things, then it was time to pick up my daughter from school at 3.15pm. As soon as we got home she had to get ready for her school formal,we had to be there at 5pm,and she looked beautiful. The dress was purple but didn't come out the right colour in the photo. After we dropped them off it was time to come home, and we needed to be back there by 8.45pm so the kids could have a dance with their parents. They all had a fabulous night and they have all grown up so very quickly, its hard to believe they are heading off to high school next year.I went to the school a bit earlier today to take photos of my daughter with some of her friends and OMG the tears were flowing,it was hard for the parents to keep back their tears.Just watching them took me back to when I left and you remember what a huge stepping stone this is in their life and can be quite scary, they go from being the big kids in school back to being the babies. That's enough from me,I think I am starting to waffle....lol.....
Onto the Creatalicious Challenge, this is our last challenge for this year and the next one will start on the 15th January. This months challenge is a fun one and here it is

Something Old, Something New, Something Torn and Something Blue.
You do not have to make a Wedding themed creation,it can be anything as long as it includes the above.

I didn't have time to make something different, luck was on my side and I had to make a journal with blue in it.My floral paper is OLD,my something NEW is the stamp purchased for these journals,I TORE the paper and have used BLUE cardstock.Have fun with the challenge and have a look at the other DT creations they are fantastic, we look forward to visiting your blogs.Well I am off to catch up on your blogs, thankyou so much for all your wonderful comments........I do appreciate them.

A Little Bit of this and a Little Bit of that
Good morning, yeah I finally have my internet speed back,so I will be popping by to visit you all later,I just have time to post this and then pick my daughter up from school.Yesterday was another busy day,I was out all day running around and then I had to finish the baking late last night as it was needed today. My youngest had her playgroup Christmas party today and I feel like I have not been home for long and I will be popping out again. These sweets are the other goodies for the bags,I have made chocolate slice, gingerbread men and Candy cane chip cookies,I have only shown a small amount of what I have baked.Above that is another of the journals and only 2 to go....lol.....I also needed to make some quick Christmas cards and I found this beautiful vintage image, so thought I would have a go at making a Christmas card with it and I quite like how it turned out.A few of you asked for the Honeycomb recipe so here it is

    Choc-Chip Honeycomb
Dissolve 1 3/4 cups sugar,1/4 cup of glucose syrup and 1/2 cup water in a large pan.Increase heat and boil for 8-12 minutes or until a light golden colour.Remove from heat.
Add 2 flat teaspoons sifted bi-carb soda.Stir well, pour into a lined 20 x 30cm baking pan and sprinkle with 1/4 cup finely chopped chocolate.Allow to cool and set.Break into pieces and package into 4 bags.
When cooking the syrup, remove from heat when it is slightly lighter in colour than the finished product as it is very hot it will still get darker as you add the bi-carb soda.
You can also pour some mixture into the pan and add chocolate as you go,you will then have chocolate in the middle of the honeycomb.
You will have crumbs left after breaking it apart, keep it all in a container in the fridge and add it to ice cream, biscuits and cakes etc
    Enjoy!!!

    Christmas Goody Bags
Hi all, sorry I haven't been here the last couple of days,I finally used all of the extra download speed my internet provider gave me,so I haven't been able to visit. The good news is my speed allowance comes back on the 14th,so I took this opportunity to start on my Christmas Goody bags...........I make these for my daughters teachers and for people I don't know what to buy.I spent all day Friday baking and made chocolate chip cookies and honeycomb with chocolate which you can see in the pictures above..........I still have to dress the bags up,but will do that later.I also have to make gingerbread men, candy cane cookies and chocolate slice I will start those tomorrow. After baking Friday I spent the evening cooking for a BBQ lunch we had on Saturday and then when that was finished we had to go out for the evening,so I am pretty tired. The bag was made for my daughters teacher and when all the baking is done it will be filled with a bag of each, this Santa was originally made into a card a few posts ago and I decided to make another to see how it would look on a bag and I love how it turned out.Well hopefully you can get some ideas from this, enjoy your weekend and I will see you all on Monday the 14th.

    Another Journal Christmas Present
Good morning,I was a bit late getting to this post.........I am getting ready for my Christmas baking, but I forgot that my mixer had smoke coming out of it on Friday. Now I have to buy another one or I will be still baking after Christmas.....lol....This is another journal I made,I hope you are not getting sick of them as I have a couple more to show.I have used the gorgeous heart pearls again from Bizzy Becs in a vibrant red,the flowers and leaves are also available from Bizzy Becs. The pearls aren't available yet but will be in store in about two weeks. My daughter gave the journals to her friends today and they loved them,a couple of other girls wanted them as well, but seven is enough to make and they were for her closest friends. They have been using the journals to get end of year messages written in from teachers and other students,it will be a beautiful keepsake for them as they are off to high school next year.I really appreciate your wonderful comments, enjoy your day.

    Altered Notebook
Hello,I thought I would give you a break from the Christmas cards, though I do have more to show you later......lol......I have been creating so many things over the last couple of weeks there is alot to show, but some of it was also done multiple times so nothing to show there. Here is another of the journals, I made for my daughters school friends for Christmas, and to my delight they are all finished......yehhhhhh.The gorgeous Hydrangeas are from Bizzy Becs and they are new to the store and done in colours exclusive to Bizzy Becs.I received these on Friday and couldn't wait to use them and the colours are brilliant, every colour was easy to match to my papers and other embellshments.I also found it hard to find Hydrangeas in lots of colours and Bec has quite a few colour options.........I am really impressed with them. The love heart pearls I also got from Bizzy Becs and were a perfect match for the Hydrangeas,I can't see them in store yet,so I will find out when they will be.Must go and do dinner, enjoy your week.
NOTE - The heart pearls I got from Bizzy Becs will be available in about two weeks,so keep an eye out for them.
