Shakshouka

Assalamualaykum ... Taddaaa.... I am presenting to you SHAKSHOUKA ... Shakshouka is a Turnisian food. Being Malaysian we love to try food from various continent. And tonight I am trying Shahshouka, a dish that many has been talking about (at least within my colleagues and friends). It is actually runny egg in a spiced tomato gravy. And it's delicious. I fell in love with it on the first try. For the ingredients: The star ingredients would be *1 large Tomato (diced)  and 2 tablespoon tomato paste (you can use canned whole tomato) *1 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder *1 large Capsicum - diced (I called it star because it really makes a difference when you have less of any of these) 1 large Onion 2 cloves of garlic Eggs - 2 or 3, but maximum is 4 (depends on how many serving you are preparing) Salt Pepper Sugar cooking oil  plain water Garnish with cilantro (but i used rosemary) The method: 1. Kicap..o..kicap

Assalamualaykum, Kicap ... o ... kicap. Maaf, ini bukan iklan kicap. Tapi masakan hari ni tiba-tiba terlalu berkicap. But, this is what my husband love the most. Anything berkicap is always his favourite. As the wife, we cook as what he likes. Jadi tema hari ni KICAP. Top: Telur masak kicap Bottom: Kacang panjang goreng kicap. Ini aje lah yang sempat aku masak untuk juadah Jumaat. Maklum la ... sampai rumah hampir pukul 1.00 tengahari, aku terus meluru ke dapur dan memulakan tugasa seperti yang dirancangkan (while driving, I have everything planned in my head: what to cook; what needs to be done first; and how will the job sequence be).  Mula-mula, masak nasi. Then goreng telur. Sambil menggoreng, aku mula mengupas bawang-bawang yang diperlukan untuk kesemua juadah (2 je pun...). Bila telur dah siap, bawang pun dah siap untuk memulakan masak kicap telurku. Roti Bakar Berinti

Assalamualaykum, Dah lama tak jejalan kat dapur orang. Cari ilham masakan. Hari tu tetiba ada masa sikit. Bila jejalan tu, jumpa resipi ni. Ada beberapa orang ahli dan hebat masakan yang tunjukkan hasil mudah ini. Idea yang kreatif.  So, di suatu pagi yang terlebih rajinnya, aku pun mengadunkannya, terutamanya kerana inti karipap memang dah siap sedia dimasak dan ada di freezer. Tapi.. being the lazy me, i did not cut the crust off for reasons: i. Kalau buang kerak tu, siapa la pulak yang nak makan kerak tu. ii. Bento - Omelette & Sauted Mushroom

Assalamualaikum, A very happy morning to all. At times I don't feel like going out for lunch. Especially when there's a heap of work waiting to be completed. It makes gather some effort and strength to prepare something for my lunch. And, I chose to have these for lunch.... Filling, healthy and most importantly its guaranteed hygiene. I initially made the omelette for my husband's breakfast while for myself, I prefer to have muesli. This is when I thought of bringing the extra omelette for lunch. I dug into the fridge and found some mushroom. Just nice to add to my vege intake to accompany the eggs and beans. Sauted Mushroom 1 packet of shitake mushroom - washed and diced thinly 1 onion - sliced Salt and pepper to taste 1 tablespoon olive oil for frying How I made it: 1. Simple fry the onion in the olive oil till tender. 2. Add the mushroom, fry till tender too. 3. Add salt and pepper to taste. Whalla! It's ready. I like it when serve with sandwiche
