I took a quiz on Face.Book about what age I really am. And turns out Im not 26, Im 64. Some days I feel it. The results are right on. I am totally what the quiz results say I am.
Just took the quiz What Age Do You Act? and got the result: You Act Like You Are 64 Years Old
You are a mature adult. You've experienced a lot - and you definitely have some "street smarts." You've been through a lot, and it's hard to shake you. You can deal with most things that come your way. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax. Enjoy it!

FOR MY FAMILY MEMBERS
Because Im sure I have some stalking family members out there....this is for you, personally FROM ME.
Michelle Alessi thinks everyone who wants to judge my family, and talk about us behind my back, Well, YOU can take the sun and shove it up YOUR ASS where it CAN shine and then it can burn the SHIT out of you.
You dont know me. You dont know what I go through as a military wife 8,000 miles away from any family members I have (my In Laws are the only family I have) with my husband gone nearly all the time, taking care of 2, very well cared for ADOPTED babies.
Yes, we sold a car to get our son. (and our daughter) WHO THE FLIP CARES?! In my book, that is great.
We sold a brand new car that my husband bought after being DEPLOYED for SEVEN months, got cash and paid for our attorney and because of that OUR SON has an amazing life.
I am happy. I have a great husband who serves in the United States Air Force who loves me and respects me and is an amazing Father. I have 2 beautiful babies who were made just for us. I have a nice car (which we work hard for) I live on a tropical island FAR AWAY FROM YOU! What more can I ask for? I have it all. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY....I AM HAPPY AND YOU ARE NOT.
SO SHOVE IT.

And then...then this OTHER person saying terrible things about us? WTH?
Im so speechless. Really. And hurt, sad, angry.

New Camera
We bought a Canon 7D after we found our Birth Mom was pregnant with Caden but before she decided to ask us to adopt him.
She then asked us to adopt him.
Then, as you know we struggled to find the cash.
So, we sold the beloved 1 week old Canon 7D.
It's now about 4 months later since then.
We have the adoption paid for.
We bought another Canon 7D.
Its the best thing ever invented.
OK...maybe not the best thing EVER, but pretty darn close.
You thought you saw a lot of pictures on my blog before?
Think again.

So what's Dad driving?
Because I have the best husband in the world, who cares for his wifey and 2 bambino's...he sold his 2010 Mazda Speed 3 that he bought from Afghanistan this last deployment so we (Mama and babies) could get our 2010 Toyota Highlander. We didn't want 2 car payments so we could build up a little more in our savings account since we cleared that out paying for Caden's last minute adoption expenses.
And now...Now poor Dada is driving this....

I feel terrible. But the plan is..to pay off the Highlander before we move from Guam so Dad can get his new car at our next base...in 2 more years. So yes, he will be driving this 'thing' for 2 years.
But I think it was a good trade off....to give these 2 babies a home. With us.

Im going through a funk right now. Im afraid with my sour mood lately I dont have much to blog about...unless it complaining...and I really cant complain about all I want to complain on here because I dont know who is reading this.
So, I need a break from blogging for a few days.

Sorry blogland
I seriously have nothing to blog about. I sit here and try to think of something...but there is nothing. My life has come down to playing this dumb game on Face.Book called Farm.Ville and another one called Fish.world.
Either that, or we are in the backyard in the pool.
Exciting, huh?
Only about 10 more days to go!

THESE make me smile....
Even if it is just a dumb quiz...this makes me smile and feel all warm and fuzzy and even gives me hope...even if JUST a little bit.
I did this quiz on Face.Book and got this as a result:
Michelle completed the quiz "How Many Children Should You Have?" with the result A Household Full of Children!.
Congratulations, you have been specially selected to be the ideal parent to a whole household full of children! Your giving nature, patience and natural ability to meet the needs of many people at once make you the perfect parent to many children. Maybe you will have them naturally or you will be blessed with beautiful adopted babies- either way, your house will always be brimming over with laughter and love!
Secretly, I want to be like Angelina Jolie.
Well, I guess that isn't a secret anymore, huh?
And this makes me smile too:
Approximately 4.5 weeks until homecoming!
Oh, and this:
Kayla learned how to climb up her crib today. Although, that is a more nervous smile. HA!

What did he get?
What did Nick get out of this deployment? A new car. Pictured above. As much as I dont want a new car...he deserves to have something for himself. He has worked and is working as hard as ever. For goodness sakes...he was ambushed. (No, I will not post details on my blog)
He has been promoted to E-6 and he deserves this.
Our loan has been approved, I signed for the car. It's officially ours. We are now just waiting to get insurance (thanks Guam for the time difference, now I get to stay up way late) and waiting to somehow get a copy of Nick's driver's licence to the dealership before I can pick it up and let it sit in the driveway to wait for Nick's return. He is out on convoy and left his driver's license behind at his duty station.
We (HE) got the actual car in the picture above, the show room car.
Kayla likes it. Both times I have been at the dealership she would shout "Car!" and point at the car. Like somehow she knew this was going to be Dada's car.

Hangin in there
I'm still hanging in there trying to catch up. Seems impossible. Yesterday I finally could physically see what caused the whole week to be torturous to both Kayla and I. She has tooth number 3 and 4 right about to pop through. One has the hole already in her gum and the other isn't far behind. Normally babies get the 2 bottom teeth, then the 2 top teeth. Well, not my 'normal' little girl. She got her 2 bottom teeth first and now 2 more on the bottom. One on each side of the 2 that are already there. I hope we get a break before the next ones come in. Pleasssseee!
Here is a picture of my daring little girl from over the weekend. Seconds after this picture I went running over to her in the midst of a heart attack.
Last night I had the worst dream that all my teeth on top rotten and then fell out. It was quite disgusting. I have dreams quite often of my teeth falling out but this was a first that they were rotted before falling out. I looked it up in the dream dictionary and found this:
Dreams that your teeth are falling out are the most common dreams we here at Dream Moods receive. Common dream scenarios include having your teeth crumble in your hands, fall out one by one with just a light tap, grow crooked or rot. Such dreams are not only horrifying and shocking, but often leaves the dreamer with a lasting image of the dream. So what does it mean?
One theory is that dreams about your teeth reflect your anxiety about your appearance and how others perceive you. Sadly, we live in a world where good looks are valued highly and your teeth play an important role in conveying that image. Teeth are used in the game of flirtations, whether it be a dazzling and gleaming smile or affectionate necking. These dreams may stem from a fear of your sexual impotence or the consequences of getting old. Teeth are an important feature of our attractiveness and presentation to others. Everybody worries about how they appear to others. Caring about our appearance is natural and healthy.

I'm slow
People help me....what the heck is Twitter? I just don't get it. I've heard of it and seen it on TV, and I've other blog with Twitter stuff...but I don't get what it is.
I went to the website and see that it says this:
Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?
Is it really just a website to tell people what your doing?
If so, why? I just don't get it.

Shampoo results...
Well, I am so glad I inspired at least one of you to go out an buy a shampoo'er. Let me show you why...First let me say I was ONLY able to do the hallway and Kayla's room. The BX was out of shampoo and it only came with a trial size bottle.
This is the dirt that the thing sucked up out of the carpet.

And this my friends...is the hair and I dont know what else that my vacuum does not pick up.

This is just disgusting. I'm so excited to get the living room done. Not so much worried about my bedroom since I'm hardly ever in there, so that room will be last.
Im debating if I feel like driving all the way to the Navy base (45 minutes each way) today to get some more shampoo to finish the house. I should, I mean what else do I have to do? And while the carpet is dries I can take Kayla outside in her baby pool that she got for Christmas and we haven't used. I was waiting on her to become more mobile before she used it...and well, that time has come now.
And this my friends...is Kayla while I was shampooing her room and the hallway.

And this is Kayla after I finished. Can you see her collection of hair accessories? LOL!

Here is her room and the hallway after being shampoo'ed.

Nothing here but a new shampoo'er
Nothing much going on here to blog about really. Nick leaves Wisconsin on March 26th. He knows where he is headed but cant tell me until he gets there. He is all done with training now except for a couple days left of CLS, Combat Life Saving which isn't hard work. Just hands-on in the class room.
Yesterday I bought a carpet shampoo'er. Im so excited about it. Pathetic? Our house was remodeled just days before we moved in. There were some walls knocked out and the kitchen was moved and some other walls and windows put in. We got all new appliances. New fridge, dishwasher, stove, new tile floor, new cabinets, etc. Except....they didn't replace the carpet. Our carpet is old. There is no denying that.
Several months ago I borrowed the neighbors shampooer and I was just disgusted by the dirt and grime that kept coming out of the carpets. Total disgust. I shampoo'ed twice in one day and the water was just as dirty the second time around.
And now that Kayla is all over the carpets, I thought buying one would be a smart idea so I can keep at it until they are at least half way clean.
There is no way Im going to be able to get new carpet. A couple that just moved here got new carpet but her husband had to fight for it. It took several days, several visits with the housing office manager and several doctor's notes saying it was causing them medical problems with their backs. They got approved and had to move all their furniture which wasnt a big deal because they just moved in and still had things in boxes.
This would be a total hassle for me to have to move all furniture without Nick and I am not stern enough to demand new carpet.
So....shampooing is the best I can do.
I got the Bissell Proheat 2x. Anyone have this one?
The BX had 2 choices to choose from. A $75.00 shampoo'er which I'm sure would do fine for the money but for something I plan to have for many years I decided to get this one.
Im excited to use it. I don't think it will be today. We have somewhere to be at 1 pm and I don't know how long its going to take. Id rather shampoo on a day that I don't have anything else to do. So maybe on Sunday.
Here are some pictures of Kayla and Roo playing with the box.
And a picture of Kayla in her new pajama's from her Grammy and Grandpa...in size 12 MONTHS!

I've been interviewed!
My good friend Tammy interviewed me today!
If you would like for me to interview you, just leave a comment and I will e-mail you the questions! Here are the directions (don't forget to leave your e-mail!!)
1) Leave new a comment saying, "interview me."
2) I will respond by e-mailing you 5 questions (I get to pick the questions)
3) You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
4) You will include the explanation , a link back to me, and offer to interview someone else in the post.
5) When others comment asking to be interviewed you will ask 5 questions.
Tammy asks:
1. Now that you've been at your "dream place" in Guam, where is your new dream station?
My next dream station is Germany. Any Air Force base in Germany please! We spent 3 years in Italy and in that time frame we vacationed in Germany several times. I enjoy the European culture very much and miss it so much more. I wouldn't object to going back it Italy either.
2. Where are all the places you've been stationed?
Before marriage Nick was stationed at Spangdahlem Air Force Base Germany for 2 years. This is where we want to go back! Then in between his move from Germany to Aviano Air Force Base Italy we got married and I joined him in Italy where we lived for 3 years. From there we went back to the states to try to conceive a baby, to Langley Air Force Base Virginia for 2.5 years and now we are at Andersen Air Force Base Guam until Feb 2012- for 4 years. This will be the longest place we have lived thus far.
3. Would you ever get your nipple pierced...if you haven't already? :)
Heck NO!
4. Would you try another IVF or have another baby through adoption?
I would not adopt again. Mainly because I think we got way lucky with Kayla's adoption and I feel that luck that good cant strike the same person twice. Although, I am aware that I could be wrong about that. I would love to adopt again, I just don't think it will happen.
Once we leave Guam, we plan to try another go at IVF. Maybe we will get lucky with that too.
5. What do you think is your best feature?
Hmm, this is tough. I don't have the best confidence in myself and don't see myself as attractive in the least bit. I hate pictures of myself. So, honestly, it's tough for me to pick a feature. I do have very nice finger nails though. I was blessed with that.

Honest scrap and Video
First, check out this video of Kayla getting so close! Im hoping so hard she will take off BEFORE Nick leaves, so within the next 2 days would be great.

Next, I been tagged by almost all my blogger friends and havent attempted to do this. Mainly, because Im bad at telling facts about myself. But I shall and I will do this.
The rules...
Tagging Rules:
1) Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design.
2) Show the 7 winners names and links on your blog, and leave a comment informing them that they were prized with an “Honest Scrap” Award.
3) List at least 10 honest things about yourself.
Im not going to tag anyone and break the rules, because everyone I know has already done this.
Now for my ten honest things;
1) I am 25 years old and still sleep with my blankey that I have had since, well, as young as I can remember. And it was my Mother's when she was a newborn. I even have a picture of her on it.
2) I LOVE potato chips. It's a bad habit that wont go away.
3)I secretly want to be like Angelina Jolie. Adopt more children and give birth to more children.
4)I am a very forgiving person. Perhaps the most forgiving person you will ever meet in your entire life.
5)It's not easy for me to make friends. I dont open up very easily.
6)I wish I had more confidence.
7)When I eat salads, I HAVE to eat all the lettuce first, then I eat everything else. Weird I know.
8)When I eat meal with several different foods on the plate, I eat only 1 thing at time- eating the least favorite food first and saving the best food for last.
9)Chores I hate- Taking the trash out and cleaning the bathroom.
10)I love sending mail to people. Real mail, not e-mail.

What's your Valentine's Day personality?
Your Valentine's Day Personality is Practical |
![]() As far as you're concerned, Valentine's Day is simply a commercial holiday. You don't place any real meaning on it. You don't think it deserves too much celebration. For you, Valentine's Day is just the day you avoid restaurants and candy stores. If you love someone, you already show it. You don't need to go all out for a silly holiday to prove your love. |

San Diego Chargers Cheerleaders visit
Thursday night is Wing Night here at the Alessi's. We go the club on base where we get wings for 25 cents each. We go every week. Except last week was a little different. Last week the San Diego Chargers cheerleaders were there for entertainment. I don't care much for football, or for half naked girls covered in make-up shaking their butts all over the dance floor. But it was free entertainment. Kayla enjoyed watching the sparkley pom-poms, until 7:30 hit and it was past her bedtime. Then she was out.
I took these videos while they were here. Enjoy.
The little boy you see pop up in the videos is my friend's son. He was just drooling over these girls. It was so funny.
Here is friend's little boy doing a push-up contest.
