I dont call him Porker for no reason!

Baby man is a hunk of chunk! I dont call him 'porker' for no reason!

Yesterday was his first well baby appt since he was 4 days old. Yesterday he was 7 weeks and 4 days old.

He measured in at a whopping 12 lbs and 23 inches tall. 95% on the charts for both height and weight! This kid has gained 4 pounds and 3 inches since birth, not even 8 weeks ago.

I know he is eating like a champ...but wow. During the day he is putting down 4 ounces..no later than every 2 hours. In the afternoon he will take one nap that is 3 hours without eating.

At night, he goes 3 hours sometimes but also, mostly 2 hours without eating...and he will eat the whole 4 ounce bottle..every last drop.

Last night Nick finished putting together a dresser in baby man's room so I was sorting through his clothes. I cannot believe what size he is wearing now. Kayla took a long time to start wearing size 3-6 months clothes.

Kayla didn't hit 12 pounds until she was almost 4 months old! Crazy how different babies with the same genetics can be.

I dont call Kayla my skinny mini for no reason either. Her 18 month well baby was on Friday even though she is 20 months old today. (The clinic here is hard to get into on time)
At 20 months old she weighs 20 pounds and is 4% on the growth charts and she is 32 inches tall. I forget what % she is on the charts.

Her intelligence is beyond believable. She talks like a 4 year old. No kidding.

Here are pictures of Porker and Skinny Mini! Caden relaxing in the sunshine and Kayla playing with some of her PEZ...which we started collecting for her. She just loves them...and she is going to love what the Easter Bunny brings to her!

So what's Dad driving?

Because I have the best husband in the world, who cares for his wifey and 2 bambino's...he sold his 2010 Mazda Speed 3 that he bought from Afghanistan this last deployment so we (Mama and babies) could get our 2010 Toyota Highlander. We didn't want 2 car payments so we could build up a little more in our savings account since we cleared that out paying for Caden's last minute adoption expenses.

And now...Now poor Dada is driving this....

I feel terrible. But the plan is..to pay off the Highlander before we move from Guam so Dad can get his new car at our next base...in 2 more years. So yes, he will be driving this 'thing' for 2 years.

But I think it was a good trade off....to give these 2 babies a home. With us.

Out with the old, In with the new and good news!

We are loving the new house. Still have a few boxes to get unpacked. We are almost there, almost done.

We sold my car this week. It was sad to see it go since I like it so much but it wasn't practical for 2 babies in the back seat. For instance, I wanted to buy Kayla a toy box but couldn't for the simple fact that it wouldn't fit in the car with 2 babies in the back seat and it wasn't fitting in the trunk. And when Nick is driving it, he cant put his seat back far enough to be comfortable because of the car seats. So out with the old 2003 BMW and in with the new......

Stayed tuned to find out!

We received news this week also, that is very good. Caden's birth parents right have officially been terminated....and his adoption will be finalized on JUNE 9TH!

6 weeks old

Cant believe Caden is 6 weeks old already. Hard to believe. He is huge. Eats like a champ. He skipped clothes in size 0-3 almost all together and he is now wearing size 3 months.

Mom is a zombie. Up all night feeding him and then up early with Kayla. But over all, as happy as can be with TWO babies when there once was a time she thought not even one could be possible.

2 weekends ago we started moving into our new house and Dad treated the family to dinner at the beach...where Caden was able to touch the sand for the first time.

Around the same age, Kayla also touched the sand for the first time at the very same beach.

Hang in there

Hang in there folks...

Major changes on the way.

We are in the process of adjusting to having 2 babies now and we are, as I type this, moving into a bigger house. Im just taking a break since both babies are asleep.

But I will make a come back on here. I will.
