Palmer Fabric Collections

Two new fabric collections to share with you!
P&B Textiles has brought more of my watercolor paintings to fabric~
'Fresh Picked Farm Stand'

I have taken photographs of farm stands for over 20 years~
Along the roadside, while we're out for a country drive.
Most of the stands are 20 minutes or less from our home.
We LOVE to support our farmers & gardeners!

Winter Snowmen Wreaths!
So much fun!!
Snowmen with their cardinal friends... framed by different wreaths~

I began painting some of my favorite stands several years ago.
A few extra props & signs tucked in here or there...
I will often change the crop to fill my 'garden' of subjects.
We do not have a long growing season here~
It is an amazing variety... sweet and full of flavor!

We are surrounded by apple, peach, plum, cherry orchards...

I LOVE honey...
Grateful for Beekeepers!
No matter how few or how many hives they keep~
Protecting our bee population is crucial.
Grateful for open fields of wild flowers, hedgerows, windbreaks & field edges.
I search for heirloom & pollinator-friendly plants to add to our garden.

Farm stand location/direction signs at cross roads are often made from
recycled wood. I thought it would be fun to add some
farmyard friends!
I will be releasing some of these designs as punch needle
and rug hooking patterns soon!

The border...
I can't wait to play with some of these fabrics!
(If I could sneak a few more hours into each day...)

Bustling meadow...
They must have wonderful visits!

Some of the coordinates for Winter Snowmen Wreaths

Perfect size and detail to cut out...
Ideal for ornaments, set inside quilt blocks... patch a Christmas stocking!

Margaret Luewen~ Miss Marker's Quilts
Margaret drives past some of the same road side stands...
She designed a quilt for Fresh Picked Farm Stand~
and...

...a quilt for Winter Snowmen Wreaths, too!

We are enjoying dryer, sunnier days...
The vegetable garden is delighted!
The flowers are blooming & bees are humming~

Hope you have a wonderful week, Friends!
Thank you for stopping by~

Snowmen Meadow quilting fabric

'Snowmen Meadow' copyright Michelle L. Palmer/ P&B Textiles

Snowmen in the meadow...
After a three hour drive to my moms house our children
were ready to run off some energy!
They didn't want a snack.
They didn't want to sit.
They didn't want television.
They were not interested in books.
The toys would wait...
They wanted outside!
Bundled up~ they would slide down Gramma's little hill.
Mom would pull the scooters out and the three of them would attempt to
ride them up & down her driveway. She told the kids they had snow tires!
Mom always had snow. (Except for the dash through summer & fall)
Her snow always seemed to be perfect for snowman making!
Our children will always have those treasured memories and
I will always be drawn to snowmen.

Squares for quilts, Christmas stockings, tote bags, table runners & place mats!
Stitched with simple trims around the border they would
make fun ornaments to hang on a cupboard knob...
Wouldn't they be fun around the bottom of a Christmas tree skirt?!
Unique pocket designs!
Small pillows stuffed with balsam! Mmmmmmm~
Stitched to the tops of pre-purchased pillows~
There must be more things we could make!

The collection is promised to arrive any day now!
I'm so happy with how the pen & ink illustrations translated to fabric~

Part of the panel and border design~ these are in full color!
The border would be fun as a Christmas tree skirt, too...

More of the panel images~

We're not rushing winter winds~
These warm August days are always my favorite!

Just had to share a peek of what's arriving in shops soon~
Please let me know if you see it in your favorite store!

Hope you have a nice week, Friends!

Flow Blue Garden Quilt

I received this beautiful quilt as a gift yesterday~
Opened the box and almost fell over!
Sue Knapp (formerly O'Susannah's Quilt Shop)
O'Susannah's Upstairs Inn
Sent this to me!
Just have to share with you~
It is the first quilt that I own, made from fabrics that I designed!
Flow Blue Garden by Red Rooster Fabrics

Wrapped in love...

Dried up my joyful tears & saw the beautiful variegated
stitches in the shape of birds, butterflies, ladybugs...
I love every sweet detail~

I love quilts but do not machine sew~
I love to design fabrics & it is such an amazing feeling to
see all types of treasures made with those fabrics!

This one will always be treasured~

Twins are expected!

My dad had twins as siblings~
My mom had twins as siblings~
I was so very grateful to have one baby at a time!

(Dress is Carter's baby & the little boys onesie is by Oshkosh)
I added the little illustrations to match their nursery themes~

One of my sweetest cousins is expecting fraternal twins!
Girl and a boy!

They were showered with treasures and so very deserving!
The sweetest of families~

These little outfits will only fit them for a short time~
They will forever fit their favorite teddy bears!

When I saw that they had white Onesies on their gift registry
I knew could have some fun with them!
There is an owl tucked in her collection &
I kept most of his illustrations nautical themed.

They can wear them...
Have them made into their first T-Shirt quilt...
Keep them for always~

I cut some of my Finch & Friends flannel fabric in pink for her!
(Red Rooster Fabrics)
Blue in the same two patterns for the little fella~

The twins have a large & beautiful family & the most amazing friends.
Oodles of loving arms just waiting to hold them!

Precious little hearts~

Hope your week is off to a great start, Friends!

Flow blue needle minder

Hello, Friends!
I hope your October is off to a great start!

It is no secret that I love flow blue...
Red Rooster Fabrics designed their Flow Blue Garden collection
from my original watercolor paintings!

I have been experimenting with printing my original watercolors
onto fabric... the image stays set~ I hope to make it brighter.

My needle minder is a bit on the large size... 5" x 7"
All hand stitched as I still do not know my way around
a sewing machine~
Added some vintage china buttons!
Perfectly reminders of treasured flow blue spice jars & plate chips!

Two antique lace treasures with blue & white pins~

It is always fun to add pen & ink illustrations to my projects...
Little character!
Pocket saved from one of the kids bluejeans!

Handmade... always from the heart!

Thank you for visiting here~
Wishing your heart every happiness!

One of my favorite quilt shops (Watkins Glen, New York) is carrying
my newest fabric collection by Red Rooster Fabrics!

~This collection is in shops now~

This is the panel!

The chickadee pair is also in my 2015 Outside My Window
wall calendar with Legacy Publishing Group!

The sweetest of birds on crazing~

A mixture of herbs, flow blue patterns influence from antique pieces~
Along with favorite feathered friends!

Bits and pieces of inspiration~
Chipped... stained... mismatched & LOVED!

I hope you will share a peek of your projects!
Wishing your heart joy~
