Seashells & Sandpipers

Hello, Sweet Friends!
Do hope you are having some sunny days at the shore~
We have been enjoying day after day of rain.
Do wish we had a way to share some with those of you praying for rains!

"Seashells & Sandpipers"
A new print available now from my 2nd Etsy Shop!
Seashells & Sandpipers was featured for June 2013 in my calendar
"Outside My Window" with Legacy Publishing Group

This is a peek at one corner of my little studio...
I have a corner cabinet that this antique cheese box sits on~
Filled with larger shells and gorgeous starfish.
I love to gather favorite things for still life studies!
Add two feathered friends...

Wishing you all the best!

Baby Robin archival prints!

I picked up the prints today!
Baby Robin is in my 2nd Etsy store~
Their little faces...

We have had dark, soggy, soaking... torrential rains~ and more rain.
I like to use natural light, to keep the colors close to original.
I will take better photographs when the clouds move on~

Our wee ones are no longer bouncing around the cozy lawns...

I gathered 3 shells from underneath trees & shrubs this year~
Not one of them were Robin-egg-blue!

Each print is hand-signed... the prints look so much like the original!

Hope you're having a nice evening!
Thank you for so many kind comments about my greeting cards~
Smiles to you!

American Robin...

I love to sketch~
Instead of sitting down to read a good book... I sketch!
While I wait at appointments or wait to pick up family... I sketch!

However...
I LOVE to add color!

White petals & white paper...
Adding a soft wash to push the background back~

When I would roam about as a child I always had string in my pocket.
Someday I will share the many things I did with my string!

Pencil details~

Our baby Robins have been watching the flowers take shape.
Patiently waiting~
They're very excited to be getting color soon!

Thank you for stopping by!
Hope you're having a wonderful day~

Skip to my Lou, my darlin'

I've shared with you that I get a song in my head when I'm painting...
It typically has NOTHING to do with the theme or characters~
There you have it. Skip to my Lou for my new print!
Just back from the city and listed this little guy in my 2nd Etsy store!

We could name the bunny "Lou" and then I wouldn't seem as odd!!
Giggle...
Hope you're having a great day, Sweet Friends!

"Earth Day" from my Bits & Pieces Collection is one of the first available!
My printer guy did an amazing job!
You can see from the side by side photographs how close
the print quality is to the original painting!

"Garden Wren" is the 2nd archival print currently available.
I hope to add some small watercolor paintings in the next few days!
This side by side photograph shows the quality of printing~

The Etsy listings will share every little detail.
They are archival quality prints on 100% cotton rag (300gsm) paper...
OBA Free (optical brighteners) and with Ultra-Chrome Pigment Ink.

Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday~ Happy Mother's Day!
