Makin's Clay® Flowers

Hi, today I was playing with my Makin's Clay®!

I want to share with you what I did! This was fun, I had no plans! I just wanted to make some free hand flowers, no cutters or molds.

Let's get to it........

I mixed some White and Pink together

Once blended together, I rolled it out to a large circle and let dry overnight!

Now just grab some scissors and cut three circles. They do not need to be perfect circles as you can see!

I took my Prisma colored pencils and started to color the circles.

Done coloring.

Add a brad to the smallest flower and then glue them together! I love these!!!!

What do you think? Great embellishments!!!!

I took it another step further!

I cut out the petals and colored it and shaded it more with colored pencils! OMG! LOVE!

A new way to make flower embellishments! I really like these!

Tell me what you think!!!

It's A Baby Shower!

Welcome Leo!

Anna-Karin is a very special member of the Eileen Hull Inspiration Team. Last year there were a lot of changes in her life, including a move from one continent to another and just a few months later, a new baby! Leo arrived weeks ahead of schedule (and just 20 minutes after reaching the hospital!) but thankfully he and Anna-Karin are both doing well.

We want to show Anna-Karin how special she is to us, so we are giving her a virtual baby shower today to celebrate Leo's birth! Even though we can't be with her, we send our love and a special crafty surprise. We invite you to visit each team member/shower guest's blog to see what they created for this new little guy.

If you have a message for Anna-Karin, please visit  Eileen's blog  to leave your well wishes in the comments- then she can read them all at once. Thanks for being part of our celebration!

I didn't have any little boy stamps....so I put my drawing cap on and went to work drawing a romper made just for Leo! I then colored it with colored pencils, I now had my image for my card! Has his name on it and a tag with love.

I used Eileen's NEW Passport Book die to make Leo a little photo album.

I added a flip page with his name

 Some inserts
 Another flip page

I hope she loves it as much as I loved making it!

Congratulations Anna-Karin!

Hop with Eileen Hull's ATB and Stampendous!

It's time for a hop around the Block!

Artist Trading Block that is!

I am up today!

I hope you have been hopping along! So many great ideas! Many different styles!

I received the Cling Hydrangea Garden stamps #CRS5067, with that I also received the matching cutting die set and something that I had never used before. It is called Spoonful of gold dust, Embossing Powder & Elements. Have to say.......I LOVED IT!

I colored every element with my Prismacolor pencils and blended them with Gamsol.

After everything was colored and blended, I took the Spoonful of gold dust and sprinkled some on the flowers and the butterflies and heated them from underneath the sheet of paper. What a spectacular effect it gave! OM-gosh I can't wait to get some of the rust!!!!

I liked it so much I choose to use the Sizzix Little Sizzles black Mat Board so that I could sprinkle the Artist Trading Block with the GOLD DUST! Oh yeah! It looks FABULOUS! Using the Sizzix black Mat Board I did have to leave my heat gun on a little longer and moved it around so not to burn the Mat Board.

I used the largest ATB and I stuck a Styrofoam ball into the box so that I could arrange my floral arrangement!
I had some twigs that broke off of a twig wreath and thought that would make great stems for my flowers and give some added interest. I used very, very thin wire to adhere the butterflies to so that they look like they are flying.

I really like the way this ATB turned out!
It has depth and interest and
it is full of GOLD!

We know this form of crafting will spark your interest and give your mojo a serious boost! That’s why we have prizes!!! We’ll choose three winners at random from the comments on all blogs in the hop. Then from those three we’ll randomly pick a GRAND PRIZE winner! Two of the winners will receive Stampendous PenPattern Petal and PenPattern Flutter cling stamps. They’ll also receive enough pre-cut, premium matboard from Sizzix to make two boxes of your own, plus some extra pieces for fiddly bits! The Grand Prize winner will receive the stamps as above, a whole package of matboard, AND the Sizzix die to cut your own ATB boxes! Uh, WOW!
If that weren’t enough, eligibility for these amazing prize packages has expanded to include our international fans too!

We know you won’t want to miss a single creation in this hop, and the Eileen Hull Designs Inspiration Team has several members that live outside the United States, so it took a while for them to get their products from us. We need to give them time to post and you time to comment, so the comment deadline will be Sunday, March 8th. A whole extra week! We will continue posting links as we receive them from the Inspiration Team, so be sure to keep checking back. You get one entry for every comment, so you don’t want to miss the chance to leave a thoughtful comment on each project. For those who tend to get lost, we’ll post a “cumulative” link list of links so far on Saturday, February 28th and Saturday, March 7th. Then you can check your progress.

Vintage Kitchen my Recipes

 Vintage Kitchen

I seriously can't wait for these dies to come out!!!

They are so versatile.

My recipe for the Cocoa mug?

This one is a gift card holder                  This one is a mixed media painting 8 X 10 canvas
                     ↓                                      ↓

This next sample is from a class that I took while Eileen was on the Paper Trail! I had to see Scotty and Eileen in person! I could not let them just pass me by. Eileen came to Colorado and by gosh I was going to see her! And I am happy to say, I was able to meet her and visit Scotty! I drove 3 hours down the hill just to see her! It was worth every minute!

Now in all honesty, I did not finish this in class! I was to busy talking and helping others! I ended up staying all day!

So here is my take with the Sugar Bowl and Creamer Set! (As taught by Eileen)

Cream and Sugar~What's not to love about these darling dies? You could use them flat on a card!
OR..................assemble them to add little packs of tea or sugar or whatever treat you can think of!
I just used the spoon for this card.....simple and cute!

I love this Recipe Box die! You can use in in so many ways!
I used mine to make mini journal pages.

This final die that I was lucky enough to play with, is really going to be fun! I have already seen some pretty amazing things created with this Cookie Box die! This is my take on it, I just thought it would be cute to put some trinkets in.
Hold my rings on my night stand. It could be a candy holder.
One of the designers made it into a vintage cat for Halloween! So CUTE!
See it HERE!

I am sure you are going to LOVE the VINTAGE KITCHEN line!

I know I WILL have some in my stash for sure!!!

 Thanks for stopping by!
