Halloween ATB FUN!

Hope your having a wonderful spooky fall!

It is my week for the Eileen Inspiration team and I am super excited to share my spooky fun!

Sooooo much fun with boxes! Who Knew?

Eileen Hull Knew, That's WHO!

There is so much you can do with These boxes, it is AMAZING! Just go and check Eileen's blog and you can see so many ideas!

This is mine for this month's
ART WITH A HEART CHALLENGE "Tricks and Treats" theme!

I started with one idea in my head and it went completely the other way!
I guess my hands wanted to do one thing and my head another!
So I combined the two and this is what happened!

So I started with this spring and this piece I took off a dress form. I then used Creative Paperclay® and sculpted a cat head. So easy! Let that dry overnight.

So while my cat head was drying, I cut my ATB's using Eileen's Die #658984 called Blocks/Cubes 3D. I cut 2 of each size using Sizzix's Little Sizzles Mat board in black. Did you know they carry this Matboard in Whtie, Black and Cream. Love This Matboard for so many projects. It is very sturdy!

I then cut my papers for each size of the ATB's. Paper's are from Cosmo Cricket "Haunted Line".
I have to say this line is old, but still to this date
 MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE HALLOWEEN LINE!

I adhered each of the papers to the ATB's. Then I proceeded to put the blocks together.

I started to play around with the blocks, then decided on paint colors and started to decorate the ATB's.

I painted my cats head and varnished it and attached the spring with E6000.
Added the cat to the smallest block.

Here you can see how I added Studio 490 crackled texture paste by Wendy Vecchi. I added her Fern Green Archival ink to the paste to add color to it. I just spread it here and there, no special technique here. I added some burnt orange acrylic paint here and there also. When all pastes and paints were dry I adhered the cubes together with Crafter's Pick "The Ultimate" glue.

Add your embellishments. I choose to add arms to the small ATB. This was done by cutting a small slit into the side of the box and sliding the arms into the box. I used some of Tim Holtz's embellishment to finish off the piece.

I love the way it turned out!

This picture I had to play with and add some spookyness to it!

NOW I have a super easy bonus project! Super fun for the kids to do, with your help!

Cut out all kinds of Blocks out of the Block/Cube 3D die.

Punch out a pumpkin face out and add tissue paper to the inside.

Put battery operated candles inside and stack or place around the house! So cute!

Super simple!

Now it is your turn! Make something with the theme "Tricks and Treat" using one of Eileen Hulls Dies. If you do not have one of Eileen's dies, you can still enter! Now if you enter.....you have a chance to win one of Eileen Hull's die!

So enter, before it's to late! Enter your link HERE

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!

I wanted to share this cute little teddy bear I did using Cosmo Cricket " Sweet Disposition"

Just to let you know.....I have been away from my blog. Well I guess you know that....Reason...We are in the process of moving. My hubby went back to Minnesota to get all of our stuff and we are headed to the mountains to our new home. Well new to us!

I have been busy trying to get some business finished, articles written, art done and out the door before packing my studio up. What fun this will be. I have 5 days to do this. Rick will be back on Monday to pick up the stuff here and up to the Rocky Mountain we will climb.

This will be a new journey for us. We are excited to get settled in. It is newly painted and just waiting for us to move our stuff in and make it home. I will have to re-learn to cook and bake as we will be at 7100 ft. That in itself should be fun!

So if you do not see much of me it is because I am unpacking and decorating our home!

Then getting my studio arranged and decorated for the most inspiration possible!

Thanks for hanging in there with me!

How Many Days Till Christmas?

I don't want to know, do you?

But I did make this cute little countdown till Christmas piece.

One of my thrift store finds. Remember these old pull toys? I think they used to be filled with blocks.
Well I found this one for less then a buck!
When I found it I did not know what I would do with it, but I knew I could do something with it!

So when CHA (Craft and Hobby Association) approached and I needed to do some samples for Cosmo Cricket, I dug this out of my stash.

With the new Christmas line called Jolly Days from Cosmo Cricket I thought I could do some kind of Christmas decor. So this is what I did........................................
So Easy and fast! Cut papers to size add a Ready Set Chip snowman and some tim Holtz letters and a blackboard painted block, hang a piece of chalk off of the wheel and you have a countdown calender. I think I am going to add some more Ready Set Chip figures to this now that I have more to add. You can hang this piece or leave it where the kids can help you change the days.

Have a great & safe Holiday weekend!

Sharing Christmas Shadow Box-Cosmo Cricket Style

That's right.....it is not even Halloween yet and I have worked on some Christmas items. Mind you this is very hard to do when it is 100 degrees outside! Horrible! It's funny my friends and family from Minnesota all say "oh but it is a dry heat that's not so bad". Okay? Well to me 100 is still 100!

Anyway here is my sample I did for Cosmo Cricket. It is a shadow box made with the new Christmas line, it is called "JOLLY DAYS".

You can see the full line here. This line even has Ready set Chips and Stickers ANDDDD......Stamps!
This line was voted as Susan Opal of Papercrafts favorite Christmas line at CHA.  Read about it here.

That Elf is so cute! He is in checking to make sure Santa's suit is ready to GO! I used a stamp from "too much fun rubberstamps".  Cut it all out then made the shadow box into what I think Santa's closet would look like. I used tim holtz Hinges and hangers to hang the suit. Of course had to use some Stickles from Ranger to complete Sants' suit.

Here is another picture

More Samples!

I am going to share a couple more samples I made for Cosmo Cricket/Advantus.

A few cute cards.

Again I used the S'More Love line. If you loved Mr. Campy.....you will LOVE S'More Love!

As I mentioned before Cosmo Cricket has Stamps that goes with the paper. This makes it so easy to make those scrapbook layouts or cards. No more hunting for the perfect stamp. Nope, you can get the paper and the stamps and have at it!

I just love the new Elements-Canvas wrapped Brads in Natural & Black.

Here is the next card........this is how I feel today!

You could send this for anything....birthday, hello, thank you....anything.

I have a few more samples to share and I will do that soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

Bad Internet!

What did we ever do without Internet?
3 days we have been without Internet!

I suppose I could have went to some restaurant and updated
my blog, but no I would rather sit home waiting and waiting.

It finally came on!

What I missed was Cosmo Cricket had pictures of my Camp Song
book on their blog. But you can still see it. Click here!
Here is a preview.....super simple for the wee ones.
Would look great with camp pictures!

I will share with you another project I did for Cosmo Cricket.
This card is made from the same line "S'More Love". Super cute papers!

This line also includes Stamps to match the line!
 These are so CUTE!

Then we have the Ready SET Chipboard......
 and Stickers!
Start gathering those camp photos, because these will be waiting for you at your local Scrapbook store!

On a good note......the Internet is working faster.....so I guess it is good!

Cosmo Cricket Sample - Wanna see?

The next few days I will be sharing some samples that I did using Cosmo Cricket's NEW lines. Your going to love the new things they have.
Have you seen the buttons? To die for! LOVE them!
How about a I show you them?

 I heart these!
These buttons are wood. They are adorable!

The project I have for you today is made from the new line

I started with a wood box, added some metal feet (Advantus, tim holtz), painted box and metal feet. After it was dry it was time to cut into the yummy paper. But not only that, this line has stamps to go with it!
SEE!
So I used one of the Element Deck papers and started to work around that. This is what I came up with!
Hope you enjoy!

Close up of flowers and metal handle

Surprise! There is a mini book inside! See where I used the stamps? I stamped the image to mimic the outside of the box, but inside it is colored. I love to color! Each side of the paper is stamped with the scallops.

Well that is my share for the day! I really enjoyed working on this and all of the samples.
See you Thursday when I bring you another sample!

It's Monday! How about I share 2 Cosmo Cricket Cards/Unity Stamp

I made a few cards with Cosmo Cricket papers. I want to share with you!
Mind you these are NOT the NEW papers!

But they are super FUN papers and I had fun playing with them.

The first one is made with Cosmo Cricket and Unity Stamp Co. The stamp is a itty bitty called 'Dance in the Rain'. Cosmo Cricket paper was from a 6" X 6" Mini Deck called 'Togetherness".
This is how I have felt.
I stamped the cute chick on the paper of choice and then stamped the umbrella and boots on to the other choices. Then I stamped the whole image onto the gray background paper then added the body, umbrella and boots. I then raised the wing as if it were holding the umbrella. The eye was the final touch on this cute chick.
I cut out the clouds from the Togetherness paper. I then added a puddle and raindrops.
Stamped the saying and put it all together to make this sweet card!

This next card was layers of Cosmo Cricket paper 2WENTY-THR3E!
I really like this paper, I use it a lot!
 Lots of machine stitching!

Hope you have enjoyed my Monday share!
