Do you forget to blog?

I always forget to blog!

Do you do that? I get busy doing projects and than forget about blogging them!
I have many behind the scenes projects that I can't show because they are being submitted for magazines or for Company blog posts.

But I have some I can show!

I did a lamp for my great niece. That was different and fun! I found the lamp at Target for $7.48! Bargain!

Add some Deco Art paint and now she has a brand new lamp for her nursery!

Here is the girl I had painted for her. Now she has the lamp to match! My niece is so into octopuses! The whole nursery is octopuses!

I am also in a tag swap, so I decided to make my own embellishments!
They are turning out quite cute......if I do say so myself!

Right now I am staining them to give them the old worn look!

I have just finished some projects for Glue Dots® and hopefully will be able to share those soon!

Thanks for popping by!

ATB Christmas Boxes

I love the way these Christmas Boxes came out!

If I do say so myself!

The boxes are a yearly gift.   My girls have grown and everything they ask for seems to be little. So I decided to start giving gifts in boxes that could be displayed year after year. This is like a 2 for 1.

Supplies:

·        Eileen Hull/Sizzix Scoreboard XL Die-Blocks/Cubes 3D
·         Glue Dots® 1” Glue Lines
·        Glue Dots® Micro (brads)
·         Sizzix Little Sizzles 6” X 13” Matboard White
·         Tim Holtz Paper Stash-Merriment
·         Tim Holtz idea-ology Collection Remnant Rubs Numbers
·         Tim Holtz Idea-ology Collection Hitch Fasteners
·         Tim Holtz Idea-ology Clock Keys
·         Left over red trim
·         Misc. brads
·         Red embroidery thread DMC
·         Small Misc. manila tag
·         Any snowflake stamp
·         Wendy Vecchi Red Geranium Archival ink

Directions:

1.       Cut boxes using Eileen Hull/Sizzix Scoreboard XL Die-Blocks/Cubes 3D and matboard
2.       Using Glue Dots® 1” Glue lines adhere boxes together
(this in my opinion, is the best adhesive for this step)
3.       Cut paper to fit each box and adhere
(6 pieces are needed for each box)
4.       Determine where Hitch Fasteners and Clock key will go and poke a small hole
and attach each using the screws provided
5.       Adhere trim, add misc. brads and Rub ons
(I cut the tabs off of the brads and used Glue Dots® Micro to adhere them to the box)
6.      Stamp the tag and tie with red embroidery thread

Make sure you stop by Eileen Hull blog as she is sharing fun projects all month long!

Halloween ATB FUN!

Hope your having a wonderful spooky fall!

It is my week for the Eileen Inspiration team and I am super excited to share my spooky fun!

Sooooo much fun with boxes! Who Knew?

Eileen Hull Knew, That's WHO!

There is so much you can do with These boxes, it is AMAZING! Just go and check Eileen's blog and you can see so many ideas!

This is mine for this month's
ART WITH A HEART CHALLENGE "Tricks and Treats" theme!

I started with one idea in my head and it went completely the other way!
I guess my hands wanted to do one thing and my head another!
So I combined the two and this is what happened!

So I started with this spring and this piece I took off a dress form. I then used Creative Paperclay® and sculpted a cat head. So easy! Let that dry overnight.

So while my cat head was drying, I cut my ATB's using Eileen's Die #658984 called Blocks/Cubes 3D. I cut 2 of each size using Sizzix's Little Sizzles Mat board in black. Did you know they carry this Matboard in Whtie, Black and Cream. Love This Matboard for so many projects. It is very sturdy!

I then cut my papers for each size of the ATB's. Paper's are from Cosmo Cricket "Haunted Line".
I have to say this line is old, but still to this date
 MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE HALLOWEEN LINE!

I adhered each of the papers to the ATB's. Then I proceeded to put the blocks together.

I started to play around with the blocks, then decided on paint colors and started to decorate the ATB's.

I painted my cats head and varnished it and attached the spring with E6000.
Added the cat to the smallest block.

Here you can see how I added Studio 490 crackled texture paste by Wendy Vecchi. I added her Fern Green Archival ink to the paste to add color to it. I just spread it here and there, no special technique here. I added some burnt orange acrylic paint here and there also. When all pastes and paints were dry I adhered the cubes together with Crafter's Pick "The Ultimate" glue.

Add your embellishments. I choose to add arms to the small ATB. This was done by cutting a small slit into the side of the box and sliding the arms into the box. I used some of Tim Holtz's embellishment to finish off the piece.

I love the way it turned out!

This picture I had to play with and add some spookyness to it!

NOW I have a super easy bonus project! Super fun for the kids to do, with your help!

Cut out all kinds of Blocks out of the Block/Cube 3D die.

Punch out a pumpkin face out and add tissue paper to the inside.

Put battery operated candles inside and stack or place around the house! So cute!

Super simple!

Now it is your turn! Make something with the theme "Tricks and Treat" using one of Eileen Hulls Dies. If you do not have one of Eileen's dies, you can still enter! Now if you enter.....you have a chance to win one of Eileen Hull's die!

So enter, before it's to late! Enter your link HERE

Hi Everyone!

I know it has been awhile since I have posted and I will be back to posting more soon, I promise!
It has been such a busy summer I don't even know where to begin!

In the meantime, I had a WIP (work in progress) last time I was up at Creative Paperclay®, why? Well unlike an Elephant, I forget! I forgot them in Minnesota!

Well they made there way back to Colorado and have been finished!

They turned out so cute, if I do say so myself!

They will be off and flying again, they will return to my grand daughter in Minnesota for her to enjoy and remember our creative day! Always time well spent!

If you would like to go see these roly poly elephants, you can see them HERE!

Also we will be having a blog hop soon! Check it out and come be a part of it!
