Brody being silly

I snagged these pictures from my Sister-in-law, Natalie's, blog. Thanks Nat! (Pictures taken Sunday, Aug. 24)

Here is a pic of Brody sitting in a basket at my In-laws. He always gets into a certain cupboard and loves taking out all of the baskets. He just so happened to take a seat in one!

Then, later that night he decided to climb into the Doggy kennel. It was so funny how FAST he got in there, but as you can see, he would've had a hard time getting himself out. So, Nat and Bobby came to his rescue and took the top off for him while I took pictures! (Of course!) Once the top was off, he was out, and the top was put back on, he decided to do it again... I'm telling you, just like I said in this post- YES, he does things more than once, regardless of the fact that he didn't like it, or ended up with a bruise! Silly boy!

After the second time of these two having to rescue him, Nat decided to leave the lid off and he just sat in the doggy bed and played. I love my funny little boy- always keeps us laughing!

"Beh"

That's what Brody calls his bed. A couple of weeks ago (Aug. 13) We turned Brody's crib into a Toddler bed. Why did we do this when he is only 17 months?? Well, I'll tell you. We have a climber! I was out on the computer one afternoon when I heard Brody wake up from his nap. I usually wait just a couple of minutes before I go in to get him, but I started to hear him grunting. I went into his room to find him halfway over his crib, one foot about on the other side. I got him out and put him on the floor, wondering how he could do this ALREADY. (He is not even to the MAX height yet.) I didn't know if he would do this again, but the very next day, SAME thing! BUT! I didn't get into his room fast enough. I heard him say "mama" just a couple of times and then a THUMP! I ran into his room as quick as I could to find him on the floor. HOLY COW! How does he do this? I told Bobby and he asked "well, do you think that since he fell, he won't do it again?" I said, "Does ANYTHING make him stop if he gets hurt the first time?" What a silly boy! So, that evening, we sat in Brody's room and I put him in his crib to see if he would try it again. I also wanted to see if he was using his pillow as a little boost. As soon as he got in his crib, up came his feet, trying their hardest to get out! He then moved over to where his pillow was and was able to get his leg over the rail. I stopped him before he fell. Then, I took out the pillow to see if he would still be able to get out. Sure enough- same thing! He was halfway over his crib 2 more times in only a matter of seconds. That night, we changed his bed to the Toddler style. Much safer for our little guy! He loves his new bed, and likes to be able to get in and out on his own. It's so cute! But, I still have to lay with him at bedtime. (MUCH easier for me to get in and out of too!) I don't understand why he goes down for his nap with no problems, but the minute it's time for bed in the evening he hates it. Oh-well! I enjoy cuddling with him!

SPOILED?

I think so! (And, I love it!) On Thursday (Aug. 7) Bobby surprised me with a night alone- just the TWO of us! He had arranged for my parents to watch Brody overnight, while we went to a Bed and Breakfast (Johnson Mill) in Midway. It was our FIRST night ever to leave Brody, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Maybe it's because I knew we would see him the next day! I'm sure if it were a week or so, it would have been harder.

On Thursday, I dropped B off at my parents house and then went and picked Bobby up from work. He drove us to a YUMMY Mexi restaurant in Park City, and told me that we had to be somewhere by 8 at the latest. (I was thinking we were going to a concert or something, but he kept teasing me by saying we were going to go camping.) We pulled up to the Johnson Mill B&B and went in for a tour. It was very homey! We went on little paddle boats on a pond, and then went in for the night. (Can I just say... Chocolate dipped Strawberries, rose petals, Lionel Richie, bubbles, and a movie?? So NICE!!)

My baby- bringing in ALL of the luggage! (Yep- that's all for ONE night!)

The little pond that we went on with the paddle boat (those pics are from my other camera, I'll post them later - if i remember!)

I love this picture- but it makes me kinda sad because I'm not sitting next to him. As you can see, no one was around to take a picture for us that evening :(

How could I RESIST posting this picture?!?

Aww... how cute!

Scenery... BEAUTIFUL!

Sparkling Cider... YUMMY!
The next morning we had to be downstairs for breakfast at 9. (Did anyone else think that Bed and Breakfast meant you slept in as late as you wanted and THEY brought breakfast to you IN bed?!) HA! Bobby and I were both a little shocked that we needed to be somewhere at a certain time to eat breakfast with the 8 additional couples staying there. It was a lot of fun though! Then, at the end of breakfast, it started to rain, so we grabbed our stuff from the room and headed to Park City for an afternoon of shopping, lunch, and my FAVORITE- TCBY white Chocolate Mousse yogurt... mmmmm. That totally topped it off. We had planned on going on the Alpine slide and other things, but since it was bad weather, we just stayed covered by the stores! (That's fine with me!)

We got home around 4 pm and were so excited to see our baby boy! He looked a little confused when we walked into my mom's house, but he was excited to see us and show us all of the new toys... for Nama's house! Thanks mom and dad, for watching him!

***********
On our way home on Friday, Bobby told me that he had taken work off on Monday, TOO! So, we ended up going to Breakfast, then to Cherry Hill, and then home to do some cleaning. It was a FUN weekend! But, I miss my honey when he goes back to work :(

MOVING...

NOT US, DUH! MY LICENSE! I moved my Real Estate License to another Brokerage! YAY! I absolutely loved all of my fellow agents in Orem, but it was definitely time to bring my license closer to ME! I had interviewed a few other Brokerages in the area for the past 6-12 months and nothing ever felt right. I didn't like the way a LOT of them did business. But, lo and behold! I made the 'ol switcher-oo and voila, I am NOW with... drum roll please, LEGACY UTAH REAL ESTATE! So, for those of you who are interested in BUYING OR SELLING a home, PLEASE remember who your personal Agent is- ME! I also LOVE referrals, thanks for sending them!

I'll upload a pic of my NEW, SPARKLY business cards as soon as I get them (Ok, they're not sparkly, but how cool would that be? They do have super cute colors though!) Look for my sign in my lucky clients front yard! (YOU!)

"MARNI"

...That's what Brody called our sweet little "pup-pup"...and that's what I called him. His real name is Marti! My Parents Dog, Marti, passed away last night. He had a heart condition that came on pretty suddenly and he was gone within just a few months of finding out about it. He was such a good dog- he was a Doberman (sp?) but he was the BEST pup ever! He was 5 years old. His dad passed away from the same thing when he was 7 which is very early for these dogs. "Marni" as Brody would say, was SOOO good with him. Brody loved him! I'm so glad that we were able to have him around these last few months so that Brody could get use to dogs. I don't want him to be afraid of them- but I also don't want him to TRUST ANY dog he comes in contact with. We will miss you "Marni"! We love you! (We told Brody that Marni is with Jesus and afterwards he kept saying.. "Jesus" So sweet). Now, I just need to talk my parents into getting another dog- because WE'RE not ready for our own!! :)

One of my FAVORITE pics! Brody squatting down (with a phone in his hand), looking at Marni!

Such a GOOD Pup-Pup!
