Pictures from way back when...

My all-time FAVORITE picture of Bobby! Love his face- and the fact that that thing flies FOREVER!

As you now know (because of my tag below...take a look at that post, too) I'm in Las Vegas. Brody is taking a nap so I decided to look at some pictures that my mom has on her computer. HOLY COW! I found so many. Some are the ones we used in our wedding video and that's why I was able to find pics of Bobby. Enjoy!!

7 things you may not know about me...

1- I'm currently in Las Vegas! Bobby is in NY this week for business, so, I came to Vegas to stay with my mom. We're having a great time, and the weather is WONDERFUL! Miss my hubby though!

2- I love the beach! There is nothing I'd rather do than sit on the beach with family and friends, preferably with a nice cold smoothie, chips and salsa, wearing a bikini! :) (Me wearing it, not the chips and salsa!)

3- I don't work out. BUT!! I need to start. I consider nursing and chasing Brody my daily workout!

4- I did 112 back handsprings in 1/2 hour. I was a cheerleader in H.S. and we had a fundraiser for the squad. We had people put down how much money they would give us for every back handspring, toe touch, flip, whatever... within 1/2 hour. So, for example: I had a teacher give me 10 cents for every back handspring- therefore, he ended up giving me 11 dollars and 20 cents. you get the picture! We made lots of money, and were dizzy at the game that night!

5- I consider myself being from Las Vegas, but I grew up in Boise, ID. When my parents got divorced (I was 9) me, my mom, brother, and step-dad moved to Boise from Las Vegas. I was there from 5Th grade to the middle of my junior year, and then we moved back to Vegas when I was 17. I graduated H.S. in LV and my parents still live there (here!).

6- I LOVE LOVE LOVE frozen yogurt. But, the only place up North is TCBY at the mall- retarded! I love their white chocolate mousse and get it whenever it's available. And, I always ask for a sample of it. Bobby laughs at me when I do this because it's my favorite flavor ever, yet I still get a sample before I buy it!! I need to make sure it still tastes just perfect!

7- I am on a mission to hook someone up. It is one of my dreams in life- seriously. I know, I'm lame, but I really want to be a matchmaker - at least once!

I tag... YOU! If you read this, you're now TAGGED! Congratulations!

Times like these...

Just make you smile! I was doing laundry yesterday and heard Brody start to whine. It wasn't an "I'm mad" whine, it was a "HELP!" whine. (I guess you just learn to tell the difference!) So, I went into his Playroom and saw him trying to crawl over his tunnel. I didn't know whether to laugh or go help him, so I did what any mom would do... made sure he was okay and ran to get my camera! This is the picture I got. I felt kinda bad for leaving him stuck like that, but he quickly forgave me and went on playing!

Then, today, I was checking my e-mail and he was in his Playroom, once again! Those things are the best!! I realized that I hadn't heard him for a minute or so, and I went to peek in to see what he was doing. It meleted my heart to find him sitting in the corner of the room looking at a book. What a sweet boy! I just absolutely love him so much! After a while, he started to get cranky like it was time for a nap, so I fed him and put him in his crib. I could hear him in there talking and just hanging out, and he slowly just fell asleep! No crying or anything! I couldn't have asked for any other child to be my own for eternity! I love my little family and am so thankful for them! They're the best.

Video

Brody started walking on my Mom's Birthday (for those who saw that post, may remember...) Anyway, he walked that weekend, and then completely stopped for a couple of weeks. And then, on Monday night (2.11.08) He started it up again and has been getting better and faster every day. It's so cute! Here he is walking towards me!

RIGHT NOW...

Brody is in the bath, SPLASHING, drinking the water, and standing up then sitting down. I'm just sitting here in the bathroom making sure he doesn't escape the bath (He's a climber) or get into any trouble. You never know what this little guy will get into. He likes to fill up the cup with water, stand up, and dump it onto the floor. Very nice! Who taught him that, I don't know? But, I also don't know who taught him to climb onto the oven. Does he see me doing that?? I just don't quite get it. Does he see me biting everything I get my hands on, or throw a fit? It's pretty funny how most babies do pretty much the same things, but where do they learn it? I guess it's just their "baby nature". Although it's silly, I absolutely love it! I don't mind if he makes a mess of my house, or throws a tantrum, most of the time I find it darn cute! I'm just so thankful to be his mama! (dada) - that's kind of a joke. Every time someone says "mama" (especially me) he says "dada". It's adorable! I really don't mind that he doesn't say mama yet, but I'm so glad he says "dada" - Bobby loves it too. Well, this post started out as a bath subject, and just kinda went somewhere else. My mind is just wandering right now. I'm rambling on about, well, basically nothing, but I guess it'll be entertaining? I don't know, is it? Probably not.

Anyway, I love that today is Valentine's Day. Bobby made me open my card last night, because he "wanted me to have something in it for today". Well, I'll tell you what that was! The card says something like "here's a pin for you to wear for Valentine's Day", and the pin said "World's Greatest Lover" WOW! Thanks baby! Then, I opened the card and the rest of the pin was shown, it said above the rest, "I got this from" So... to put it all together for those of you who don't understand, the pin I have to wear today says : "I got this from the World's Greatest Lover". And, HE IS!! Ooh Lala! :) I love you baby! Happy Valentine's Day. I'm so thankful for you! You're the best Husband and Daddy. I couldn't have asked for anyone more!

Well, I think Brody's bath water is no longer warm, so Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! Love you all! (Especially my "World's Greatest Lover") :)
And one more thing... Today is also Brody's 11 month (birthday!) I can't believe he'll be one next month! HOLY COW! I need to start planning a rockin' party!

Brody's Playroom and more pictures!

Here it is! His playroom is just about FINISHED! All I need to do now is put up a few pictures of him. But, thankfully, we got the vinyl lettering this week and LOVE it! (If anyone wants to order some, let me know and I'll get the info to you.) Also, last night, Bobby and I were asked to be part of a YM/YW activity. The teens were able to ask us questions about being married, dating, etc. Some questions were... when was your first kiss? What was the most romantic date you've been on? How do you control finances? Most embarassing moment while dating? etc. It was pretty entertaining! We had a great time answering questions that the kids had, but I found it pretty intimidating! I was really scared that I would say something wrong and it would affect some teens decisions... I know, I know, I'm thinking too much about it. But, I remember being in YW and looking up to people older than me. It's just scary now days!

Like I Promised-

Here is a post about President Hinckley's viewing. Bobby told me to leave the house at about 3:30, then changed it to 4:00. Which was fine, since I'm always LATE! Well, I left the house at 4 and headed down to SLC. This is the line I saw while I was driving around trying to find a parking spot.

I know, it doesn't look like much, but I took the picture while at a stop light, and you can only see about 1/5 of the people. (Some lines were wrapped around the building.) I finally found a spot, and waited for Bobby to meet up with me. He came from work. (Let me remind you that this viewing was Thursday Jan 31 and Friday Feb. 1 from 9 am to 7 pm. We, along with everyone else, went on Friday.) Once we met up with eachother we walked across the street and tried to find the end of the line... one of 4 lines? There were so many! It was absolute chaos, but all worth it! We ended up finding the end of a line, and stood there, OUTSIDE, for 3 hours. No joke! We got there about 5:00 and didn't get seated inside until 8. (We did trade off taking Brody into a little warm room, so we were able to defrost a little!) Once we were inside, we sat in the Conference Center until 10:oo. We stood in a quicker line, and silently went upstairs to the "Hall of the Prophets". This was the feeling we had waited for, the moment that made the cold air, long lines, and hungry bellies, all WORTH IT! We went by President Hinckley, with music playing, and the spirit so strong. It was amazing. I am so glad I had the opportunity to see something like this. I will never forget the feeling that was in that room, and the wonderful man that he was. As I was listening to the music, I imagined that it sounded very similar in Heaven the day that he passed away. We left the Conference Center and tried to find a place to get some well needed dinner. We had stopped at a few of our "routine" places, but they were all closed. (It was 11:00) Finally, we saw some life at Applebee's and tried it. YAY! They were open! And, it was delicious! What a fun, memorable night!

Our Dear Prophet

Last Sunday, January 27, We returned home from our cruise. That evening we attended the dedication of our new Chapel and went home for some dinner- which was basically nothing since we hadn't gone grocery shopping for about 3 weeks. Well, my mom called me at about 8 pm and said "are you watching the news?" we weren't, but she said, "turn it on, Buzz just called and said President Hinckley passed away." I turned to Bobby, told him, and he turned on the News. Sure enough, it was Breaking News (We're in Utah! Which is absolutley amazing!). So, with no clue at all, it hit us with a HUGE shock! We were absolutely speechless. He had passed away at about 7 pm in his apartment, with his family around his bedside, due to old age. What an amazing man! I cannont even begin to comprehend the joyful reunion he had with his dear wife, Marjorie, our savior, and Heavenly Father. Not to mention many others! I know he is happy and in a wonderful place. We will miss him dearly. His sense of Humor, his joyful personality, and his sweet smile. I love him and know we will see him again someday. Bobby and I are going to the viewing this evening, and I will definitely let you know how it goes. I'm sure it will be one of the best experiences of my life and I am very blessed to have the opportunity to be so close to the Prophet and his couselors.
Note: Quotes from President Hinckley will be posted often on the right side of the page.
