AYLI Beach holiday or not?

We have a lovely theme for you at

Beach holiday or not?

When my Sister and I were children we were fortunate enough to spend most weekends and all of the Summer holidays at West Bay where Mum and Dad had a static caravan. We got to know the local beaches very well and have some very happy memories too. Once I became a farmers Wife things like milking, silage making and combining meant the seaside visits were put on hold for a year or two!! We are making up for it now though and enjoy the Dorset coastline whenever we can.

My card today was made using an old Little Claire stamp set. The sea is a little piece of paper from the Doodlebug Design, Sunkissed, pad that I still had on my desk from a previous make. I used my Promarkers to colour the image and the sky.

I hope you will find some time to join in.

See you soon xx

Cutie bunnies and Blooms

Hello friends and visitors.

starts today and our optional prompt is Bunnies and Blooms, so anything cute and/or bunnies or blooms or even both for that matter.

To be fair I am a bit bunnied out so I have gone more for the blooms with a super cute ditsy print floral paper pad from The Range and some pretty die cut flowers.

The lovely Mother Hen is a stamp from Little Claire (remember them? another website that I I used to visit regularly). I coloured her with Promarkers to match the papers.

Thank you for paying me a visit. You are most welcome and much appreciated xx

When you see a Robin...

So, I managed to grab some time to do a bit of crafting last night and used these challenges for inspiration

Darnell's NBUS #7
Dies Digis - Anything with wings
Allsorts Challenge #378 - Use 2+ dies
I love Promarkers #316 - Use a die
Sweet Stampin' - No designer papers

We are blessed with lots of feathered visitors to our garden, one of my  favourites being the Robins,  who are such friendly little birds, so when I spotted .....at Little Claire Designs it went straight in my basket!! He is, of course, coloured with Promarkers.  The shaped card and associated die cuts are from a Couture set and the branch and sign are part of a Spellbinders set. I am delighted to say that these are all Never Before Used Schtuff so fit Darnell's 7th Challenge perfectly.

Right, time's up, something fluffy is looking at me in a hungry way so I had better
go and oblige!! Enjoy your Sunday (and Monday if you are in the UK and not working!!).

Hope to be back again soon xx

Standard or shaped...what's your favourite?

Hello bloggers hope this post finds everyone happy and well.

Its new challenge day at

where we are dying to know what your favourite card shape is...

Standard or shaped? (remember to tell us why too!!)

Easy peasy for me...square...no question.

I love symmetry and order and generally a square card base indulges my need perfectly!!
Shame about the photographer though and I was quite sober when I took this photo too!!

This was a very quick make using a new paper pad from Craftwork Cards called Coastal. The stamp is Wavy Seascape  from Little Claire Designs that I coloured with pencils.

An up to date pup picture

Bowie (the biggest pup) had finally managed to get himself on the garden bench so we had to let Bumble join him!! Don't they look important!!

Before I go and link up at some challenges I want to thank you all for your kind messages about Suzy, they meant a lot.

Until next time xx

Man at work?....yeah right!!

Hellooo!! It was just over twenty two years ago that I gave birth to our second Son...how the heck did that happen??!! Anyway here is the card that I made to give him yesterday.

I was inspired by the number of shaker cards that have been showcased recently so decided to have  a go myself. It was a bit of a faff but well worth the effort as I was really pleased with the result and the "the kid" in Connor enjoyed shaking the sequins!!

I won the image in a Little Claire challenge and though it would make an amusing card. There is little chance of him lying in a hammock drinking this year...he is coming to the end of his degree, working as well and is in the process of buying an apartment with his Girlfriend!! The papers are Nitwits Collections Winter Wishes and the image was coloured with Promarkers. the mats were cut out of Desert Storm card with Tonic scalloped dies.

Some Challenges

I love Promarkers #304 - Men at Work
It's Martin's weekend off and, as we were both unwell last time he was off, we are hoping to go to Weymouth for a browse followed by a delicious lunch on the way back. The weather looks promising so fingers crossed!!

Whatever you are doing I hope it's a good weekend for you xx
