Sympathy or Get Well

 Happy Weekend again.

Liz has chosen Sympathy or Get Well as the alternative to Anything Goes at Allsorts this week.

I knew that somewhere in my stash I had the perfect little Pure Innocence (MFT) stamp for a Get Well card. I found it and made this...

I also have the dies too so I used that to cut her out. I'm not really sure why though because I can never actually line them up so would probably have  been better with scissors!! Anyway she was coloured with Promarkers to match the scrap of paper that I found in my scrap box. I actually really like yellow and red together. The pretty doily was another long forgotten find and suited the tea on a tray vibe perfectly.

I hope I don't have to use it but nonetheless it can go into my box for now.

Thank you for stopping by xx

Paper Piece It!!

Hello crafty friends, hope you are all keeping well.

It is time, once again, for a new challenge with The Cutie Pies. The theme is paper piecing and I had truly forgotten just how fabulous this particular technique is. Doesn't her dress look gorgeous!? It was a tiny piece that I had left from another Julie Loves, Craftwork Cards collection.

She is, of course, a Pure Innocence stamp, the rest of her was coloured with Pro/Flexmarkers and the  textured paper came from my bits and pieces box too.
Looking forward to seeing your paper pieced makes xx

AYLI Favourite way to add ribbon

Hello friends, Thursday again, sniffing distance of the weekend and another new challenge at

We would love to know your favourite way to add ribbon. I don't always use ribbon, but when I do I tie a bow ( in this case, seam binding) and attach to a length of the same ribbon wrapped around the card, as you can see below. It adds a bit of "pretty" without too much fuss.

I have made a get well card this time using some goodies from My Mum's Craft Shop, where there are currently bargains galore to be had!! I love fussy cutting images usually but could well be a convert having bought the die to match the gorgeous MFT stamp!! She was coloured with Promarkers to match the papers, as usual!! To add some definition I inked the edges of the papers too, must do that more often as I quite like the effect!!

Well, that is me for today. Thank you for your visit xx

A cuddle makes it better

It's been a while since I coloured an All Dressed Up image and thought I would support the lovely Lucy in her new permanent post over there. So, as promised Lucy here is my entry...

...and the cuddle is for you too!!

I also challenged myself to have a stab at a bit of "my style" shabbiness for a change and if duffing up the edges of the paper, adding pearls and seam binding hit the mark then, by jove, I think I've nailed it!! (Comments and suggestions are welcome here!!!). I coloured her with SN pencils and blending solution and the final touch was an LOTV stamped sentiment which I cut out and mounted with foam pads on to a sadly neglected MFT die cut doily. Ooh and I blended milled lavender DI around the edges of everything.

Get Well Wishes

Hello my crafty friends. I really hope that you are all OK but for those of you feeling under par here is a card to cheer your day.

It's my first 2015 piece for Kim's Cuddly Buddly Digi Stamp Team and what a cutie it is too!! I really enjoyed colouring this snuggly bunny with my Promarkers to compliment the papers that were in my bits box. I also happened upon a scrap of vellum that I die cut and embossed using
Marianne's Lace Edging, on reflection perhaps I should have added some yellow trim to "anchor" it a little. The sentiment is from the Greetings postmarks set by LOTV.

I'm not quite sure what happened but my mojo did a disappearing act over the festive period, I think it's because it's been so dull and dreary that I just couldn't muster any enthusiasm for anything, even Surprise has had a holiday. Anyway, hopefully that will be rectified by the delivery of several purchases (accidental you understand!!) enabled by the generosity of Father Christmas!!
