Cute, Cute, Cute!!

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog today. I hope you are all well and getting into the swing of Christmas prep.

It's a two in one visit from me as both of the new Cutie Pie Challenges are launching today

The theme is CUTE and CUDDLY CHRISTMAS

for which I have coloured yet another adorable image from Amanda Jayne Designs, Christmas Crackers

It is the card I made for Jackson's First Christmas. The penguin was coloured, using Promarkers, to compliment the Doodlebug Designs paper pad (Frosty Friends, I think, it's very old and treasured!!). The sentiment was done in word and trimmed with silver mirri.

Over at our sister challenge

we are CUTE & CHRISTMASSY

Here I used a super cute decoupage that was a magazine freebie many moons ago. I paired it with some gorgeous glittery card that I die cut with another old item from my stash, the Let it Snow cut out die which, I think, might be Memory Box.

If you are a fan of cute you can enter both!! Looking forward to seeing what you make.

See you later in the week, until then take care xx

Christmas Time at Allsorts

Another Christmas card from me today.

Christmas Time is the optional theme at

Here is my card

I have a familiar tale that I know it will strike a chord with many of you!!

While looking for something else entirely, I found a pile of decoupage sheets so could not resist layering one up for my make. Honestly I really should catalogue my craft stash!! It looked wrong atop the backing paper alone so I matted it on mirri board and cut "wishes" at the same time. That's better. Another lost item was the twinkly snowflake that finished it off perfectly.

I hope you will join in. If you do and are lucky then one of these Prizes from Stampendous , Oakwood Direct or WOWVOW could be yours at the end of the month.

I wish you a lovely weekend xx

Allsorts Embellishments

Well, Covid Clinic was bonkers!! On the plus side it was in the village hall but the wi-fi was not great and checking in 300 patients and the associated vaccination recording for each one took a very long time!!

Still, it's lovely to have your company today and I hope you can be tempted to join in at

Allsorts Challenge #728 this week where the optional theme is

Embellish it.

When my crafty journey commenced I LOVED nothing more than throwing all the embellishments at my cards, ribbon. pearls, paper flowers, die cuts, you name it, I added it (example here).

Nowadays, with the ridiculously high cost of postage I am a little more pared back but do enjoy a bit of faffing from time to time. This card was one such creation.

Ooh I had such fun. Pearls, doily, button, tag, twine and various off cuts of ribbon, seam binding and lace. I had also forgotten about the therapeutic qualities of decoupage, another long forgotten pile of A4 sheets that I discovered and thoroughly enjoyed doing.

Your embellished cards will be most welcome and we have some wonderful sponsors this month too.

WowVow, Oakwood Direct, Craft Stash

Before I leave you I would like to give you a heads up because Allsorts have a Birthday event next weekend so please have a read and do come along, you will be most welcome!!

I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Bye for now xx

Rain at Allsorts

Happy Weekend everyone!! I am here with my weekly inspiration for

Allsorts challenge where the optional theme is Rain.

This theme made me very happy and I knew exactly what I was going to showcase.

It's been far too long since I spent an evening fussy cutting so this charming, rainy, House Mouse design was just perfect. It's layered up with Pinflair glue gel and really didn't need much else. Rather than just make a tent card I went with an easel for a change so that the dimension is fully on display.
Mats in pink and black framed it rather nicely too.

Well, our little Grandaughter Mollie was incredible throughout her acrobatic dance performance. Bless her litte heart, she did five shows over four days and at six years old I think that's pretty incredible!! The whole production was fantastic with ages from fifteen months upwards. Looking forward to the next show!!

Thank you for your lovely company today and I hope you have time to join us at Allsorts xx

Frosty the Snowman...

Hello peeps, less than five months until Christmas now so it's time to get a wriggle on with your Christmas cards. No better fellow to put on a card than a jolly snowman and that's what the theme is over at

where we are inviting you to share your cards featuring dear old Frosty the Snowman (or any other person of the snowy type will do!!). Here's mine...

He is a lovely decoupaged piece that fits that six inch card nicely. I picked out the purply tones by using a sheet from my (precious) Snow Princess pad. One of my very last oval Craftwork Cards sentiments was just the right size for the top corner.

You can see the layers more clearly here.

I hope you'll find time to join in.

See you there xx

Spaceman Josh

Hello everyone it's the start of a new challenge today at

The Cutie Pie Challenge Blog

where the theme is Work, Rest or Play.

Our sponsor is Pink Gem Designs and I chose the cutie that is Spaceman Josh for my DT card.

The theme is open to interpretation but I think my little guy could actually be an Astronaut or just dressing up as one!!

We are off to play at these challenges

Creative Craft Cottage #69 - For the men/boys
Aud Sentiments - For a child +a sentiment

And finally...

...these two are still running me ragged, which is great for the waistline!!

But are utterly adorable when they are asleep...altogether now aaaaaaaah!!

See you later in the week xx

No stamps allowed

I simply CANNOT believe that September is over and we are welcoming October today...how on earth did that happen!??

Anyway, it being October 1st it means a new challenge at

and it's No Stamping

...think pre-coloured toppers, die cuts...that kind of thing but definitely no stamps!!
Struggling? hmmmm I did too until I bought a crafting magazine that had some really great decoupage and here is what I made.

The sky paper was a perfect colour match to the snow globe base, and came from Hobbycraft. The snow is some shimmery paper and the sentiment was a freebie from way back, so really not that difficult at all!!

You have a month to play so I hope you will find time to join in...go on challenge yourself!!

Some challenges

A snowflake's promise #6 - Christmas/Winter
Crafty Friends #15 - Pick a Tune - In the bleak midwinter
Craft Your Passion #281 - Anything Goes
Fab 'n' Funky #275 - Anything Christmas

Once again thank you for visiting, time seems to be slipping away from me at the moment, so I do appreciate you taking the time to leave such kind comments.

See you soon xx

Cherry Pie

Hello my lovely blogging buddies, I have a pie to share with you today of the cherry variety, which is actually my favourite!! The whole digi kit came from Buddly Crafts and includes not only the pie image but plates of pasta, lots of papers and tags too so a really versatile kit.

I printed the pie several times in order to create decoupage, as you can see from this shot. I added clear embossing powder  to the cherries and popped a Marianne die cut behind the pie to suggest a lace doily. The ribbon and tag were in my stash and I think the perfect sentiment was a Clearly besotted freebie that came with a magazine. I thoroughly enjoyed doing a bit of cutting and sticking for a change!!

I would like to join in at these challenges

Crafty Ribbons - Anything Goes
Creative Moments #71 - Anything Goes + Embossing, wet or dry
Penny's papercrafty challenge #233 - Anything Goes
Inspiration Destination #39 - Anything Goes
Simply papercrafts #7 - Anything Goes

Before I go I would like to bore you with  share with you some more visitors to the garden.

I could see this little baby out of the corner of my eye while busy crocheting.

Luckily this chap wasn't in the vicinity at the time...that might have been nasty!!

What a pretty lady. She spent a good few minutes looking in and completely ignored Suzy barking at her!!

Thank you for visiting and have a lovely evening xx
