Red and Green

Hello all!! I am bringing a bit of christmas cheer today as it is new challenge time at

where the theme is RED and GREEN

I used Centura Pearl card and MFT plaid papers on the pop up card base, it's brilliant because although dimensional it slides absolutely flat for posting. Have a peep at Mixed Up Craft for a brilliant tutorial on how to do this and many others.

I coloured the sponsor image with my Promarkers and, although it is difficult to see, added various forms of glitters and pearl drops to snazzy her up a bit!!

I hope you are all keeping well as the lockdown continues and managing to find good in every day amid this horrid pandemic.

That is me for today, before I go let me share our morning walk with you.

Bowie leading the way down a leafy track that we call " Fairy Glen"

One of the footpaths we follow goes through this field. I am getting wet knees as the moment as the silage crop is getting quite high...nothing to do with my height of course!!

Bumble has various pit stops along the brook where he waits for a us to throw a stick.

We have always enjoyed our walks and consider ourselves to be fortunate enough to have them literally on our doorstep. They seem to be even more special at the moment and we are thankful to still be able to enjoy them.

Non- Birthday

Blimey, that week and a bit whooshed by!! I was hoping to craft more during this "stay at home" time but the kind weather, while it lasts, has meant more time outdoors.

So, I have a cute book mark to share with you today. The new theme at

is Favourite non-Birthday occasion. For me it was an easy decision...Christmas so I made a book mark.

The cute reindeer and tree (Coloured with Flexmarkers this time) are from a Clearly Besotted set that I chose (among others) following a Challenge win early in the New Year (when Brexit was headlining!!).

The bookmark itself was die cut from a lovely MFT die set. The message on the banner was white powder, heat embossed and I used three complimentary coloured seam binding ribbons to finish it off. I think I might make more of these, it was great for using up scraps.

That is all for now except to say that I hope you are all well and untouched by this nasty virus, particularly those who are in the face of it.

Keep well friends xx

Bunnies, Bears and other B's

Happy Easter Bank Holiday everyone, although I confess that for some reason I had this challenge on my calendar for next week so this is a hasty post...oops!! I would like to say that my forgetfulness is due to chocolate egg overload but the Easter bunny didn't call here this year, he is in social isolation!!

This cutie is for

where the theme is Bunnies, Bears and other B's.

I went with bunny, baaaa lamb, border, bow and button.

The pretty paper is from a very old Docrafts pad, I think. The border is from an older Tonic die set  and the stamped image was coloured with Promarkers.

After the glorious weather of the weekend, today has turned rather gusty and chilly so I intend to try and start on a clock kit that I was given for my Birthday. Whatever you are doing I hope you have a good day xx

Animals or People

I have the cutest card to share that I hope will encourage you to join in the new challenge that starts today at

Animals or people (remember the reason too)

That sweet rhino dressed as a bumble bee is from Tracey Hey's Rhino Rascals. I love her characters and unusual sentiments. Anyway the image was stamped in Versamark and then black embossing powder was heated for a lovely shiny outline. I am not great at colouring hair so, by choice,  find animals a much easier option. This cutie was coloured with Flexmarkers. I happened to find some sweet bumble bee paper in my stash which, I think, may be from a Doodlebug Designs pad.

I hope you enjoy the Easter Weekend, albeit not what we are used to but necessary nonetheless.

See you soon and stay safe xx

Little Butterfly Girl

Hello friends, lovely to see you here this Friday morning. It is time for me to share another DT piece for

where the theme is always Anything Goes as long as you share a card with a hand coloured image.

Our sponsor this time is All Dressed Up and I have coloured the pretty Little Butterfly Girl.

I used Promarkers to match the Nitwits paper, some coordinated sequins and sparkly wings finished it off perfectly. I stepped out of my comfort zone with this one as I rarely use shades of purple and lavender, however, I was really pleased and gave myself a pat on the back for being so brave!!

I hope you are all well and coping with the social isolation. I think Mother Nature is being kind to us here in the UK with fine, dry weather at last. I have been on Annual Leave this week (typical!!) and had an "essential" trip to our local Agricultural Merchant for animal feed so that was a change of scenery!!  Other than that I have no idea what day it is and have baked as though my life depends on it. We are going to be a little bit cuddlier, in this household, when we come out the other side!!

That's all for now. Keep well xx
