Favourite paper?

Hello bloggers. How the devil are you? Well I hope. I am beside myself with excitement as Martin and I are taking ourselves off to Cornwall for a few days later today. But before that I am equally excited to tell you that the new challenge is starting today at

the theme for this coming fortnight is

Favourite Paper

It will come as no great surprise when I tell you that patterned paper is a bit of an obsession with me and asking me to choose a favourite is....well....impossible. However I do tend to use Doodlebug Designs paper pads quite a lot as they are such great quality, vibrant in colour and are so versatile too, as in this case, turned into a background scene.

I coloured this sweet Crafters Companion stamp with my Lyra pencils for a change.

Right, better go get organised before Hubby gets home from work. Connor and Laura are in charge of Surprise, Mo the Cat, Suzy, Bowie and Bumble...not sure they know what they've let themselves in for!!

Thank you for your continued support and lovely comments. I am afraid that time is still very much in short supply due to the new family members, but they are growing by the day and learning really quickly so hopefully I shall soon be able to get into my work room and have something to share with you. I have been checking in on all of your lovely work when time allows!!

See you soon xx

Cute Monkeys

Hello friends thank you for visiting me today.

I am showcasing an image from

They are Cute Monkeys, by name and by nature!!

I coloured them with my Lyra pencils and teamed them with Doodlebug papers for a bright fresh look.
I'm afraid I'm not really happy with it, I just wasn't in the "zone"...too much puppy brain I think!!
Anyway, don't let that put you off...it was me not the monkeys!!

Better luck next time Sarah!!

See you soon xx

Pretty in Pink

Hello everyone!! Do not be alarmed 'tis me with a crafty make!!

I made this little bag for a friend's daughter Katie, who loves to come and visit Surprise and has started to have riding lessons. It contained a pair of pink riding gloves and a mug with all sorts of native pony breeds on it...she loved it!!

The image and paper came from the Thelwell CD rom from Crafters Companion. I had a collection of those little paperback books when I was younger. I wonder what happened to them all?!!

Anyway while I have the chance I am off to play here

Until next time, take care xx

So Special

Morning bloggers...I am exhausted!! Its been such a long time since there were pups in the house and I had forgotten how much like babies they are!! In fact it's a wonder I am managing this post at all, so I had better be quick!!

We want to see your "trademark" at

all the details are on the challenge blog.

I really cannot define my style. I love patterned papers too much for it to be CAS, yet I don't over do the embellishments so not quite fussy and fancy.

I am just ME!!

No time to list my ingredients today, if you are interested just ask!!

Polka Dots and Pastels

Hello everyone.

It's the start of the July challenge at

The Cutie Pie Challenge Blog

and I love this theme

Polka Dots and Pastels- full details on the challenge blog here

One of our sponsors this time is Little Blue Button who kindly gave us some images to play with. This is Dream Charlie, isn't she fab? She was coloured with Promarkers to match the scrummy yummy digi papers from Tinker N Co that I was lucky enough to win from Jules. Even though hair scares me I am quite pleased with my primitive attempt and from a distance it doesn't look too bad at all (if you close one eye completely and squint out of the other!!). The spotty dotty ribbon was from from Crafty Ribbons.

I do hope you will come and play, just bring your cutest creation that includes polka dots and pastels...easy peasy!!

I am entering these challenges

The Ribbon Girls - Anything Goes
The pencil case  - W = whatever

Thank you for visiting me and for your feedback, I love to read what you have to say xx

An accidental purchase...

Hello all, hope that you are going to have a fun filled weekend.
My frequent visitors will know that I often have accidental purchases, you know what I mean, you touch the "add to basket" button and before you know it your finger slips again. Wellllll,  look what we accidentally bought.....

They are Springer Spaniel x Border Collies, we have had and love both breeds so hoped to find a mix and we achieved just that!! We went, a fortnight ago,  with the intention of choosing just one but ended up with two!!

We have named them Bowie and Bumble. Suzy has been such a good girl, she's going to make a great Nanna!! I might just leave it a day or two until I introduce them to Surprise and Mo the cat though.

If I am missing for a while you will know why, I have a feeling that these two might just be time wasters!!

Thank you for stopping by and for your kind words xx

Cool Peggy

Friday again my friends and I hope you have all had a good week and are looking forward to a good weekend. Ours will be interesting for sure so watch this space!!

I am here to share another one of Naz's amazing images. It seems that I have a fondness for Peggy as she features quite regularly here!! The paper is one of hundreds on the Craftwork Cards digi stick and I coloured Peggy with Promarkers to match.

I wasn't quite sure of the layout at first but it actually showcases the beautiful paper really well so I think I might use it again.

The new Challenge at Sasayaki Glitter is CAS so for those of you that enjoy the clean look  go take a peek and join in for the chance to win some images of your own!!

I am off to join in here

Creative Ladybirds #17 - Anything Goes

Reindeer Games

I can't believe another week has whizzed by since I last shared anything with you but anyway here I am with a Christmas card, inspired by a few current challenges.

Unusually for me I had a layout in mind and the card was born from that. I have no idea who the papers are by but I do remember buying  them from Buddly Crafts a couple of years ago. The sweet reindeer are from the Reindeer Games set and I fussy cut and attached them with foam pads onto a water splattered Weatherwed Wood DI background. The pretty edges were made using a Marianne Craftables set.

The inspiration came from here

Allsorts Challenge #370 - Gingham style
Double D challenges - Simply Gingham
Crafty Gals #79 - Lots of Layers
ABC Christmas Challenge - N for No Rules

Thank you for sharing your day with me, you are always welcome xx

Ice Cream yesterday and today I have a Christmas card to share !! I really thought I should get some more made. My good intentions fell by the wayside some time ago!!

This is Winter Peggy who is one of the many new releases today over at

Sasayaki Glitter

I went with a CAS look here using just chunky frantage to add some texture together with some twine and a charm that Lucy sent me.

A challenge or two...
