Even MORE bunnies

A while back a very special blogging buddy casually mentioned how she would love some crochet bunnies. Well...you know me, not one to let the grass grow under my feet...here they are!!

Jane, if Jeremy is anywhere nearby please cover his eyes now!!

I am reliably informed that they are very happy in their new home.

The little bunny was made using the same pattern as here  and the bigger bunny with the gorgeous hat was made using a pattern from Little Yarn Friends. I was particularly pleased with his nose (an upturned heart button), however you can't really see the whiskers very well in the picture.

Right, better go do some chores and then see if M&S have any hot cross buns left!!

Have a lovely Easter weekend xx

A bit of As You Like It Bingo!!

Happy Thursday everyone, I don't know about you but I am looking forward to a long weekend here in the UK. Added to that, it's Martin's weekend off too so all is well with the world!!

Being Thursday, it's also the start of a new challenge at

and breaking with tradition be don't have an "either/or" theme this time, we have a
Bingo board for you to choose from.

I chose the bottom line, Pearls, Clean and Simple and Pink.

I used the leftover scrap from my tulips card as the pink element, the pearls came from my stash and the adorable stamp was part of my  Birthday present from a dear blogging buddy (thank you again, she's going to get lots of use!!). Darnell is entirely responsible for the die cut message as she showcased a card so brilliantly that I "had" to seek out the Impression Obsession set and buy it!!

Hopefully you will have some extra crafty time so please play along, you will be most welcome!!

I am entering these challenges

An Easter butt... I mean bunny!!

Hello everyone...me again with yet another wabbit!! This time it's a cheeky one, rather like the ones that live in my garden. They ate all my crocuses, have nibbled the primroses and are now digging great big holes in my lawn!! What does Suzy do?? Sit's and watches them...such a diva!! Ah well, the joys of living in the country,

The cute image/sentiment is from Digistamp Boutique. Doodlebug papers, a very old Provocraft EF and some trusty dies, went to make up this card.

I'm going to join in with these seasonal challenges before work...my last day before Easter...yay!!

Hello folks, Monday again but Easter will soon be here so a long weekend for some of us at least, let's hope the weather is kind.

With Easter in mind, I have a Sasayaki Glitter Design Team card to share with you today featuring the most adorable bunny rabbit.

See what I mean?!! I used my SN pencils to colour her to coordinate with the pretty papers. The lacy border was a Sale purchase at Noor Design UK and the enamel dots and seam binding came from my stash.

I know I keep saying it but you still have time to share your Easter makes at

Is spring in the air?

Hello crafters, I have a springy creation for you today. The tulips in my garden are coming up but the blooms are not going to show themselves for a while yet so, for now, I have this on my mantelpiece!!

The lovely stamp is by Imagination Crafts and, I am ashamed to say, has been in my stash for a few years now. I bought it on a whim and because it isn't cute,  have never known what to do with it...until now. With so many floral and spring challenges about I thought I'd break open the plastic and have a play. I chose the pretty pink Doodlebug Designs paper first and then heat embossed the stamp with white powder. Although it's really hard to see, I rubbed pink distress ink all over the background and then coloured the tulips and leaves with Promarkers.

I enhanced the tulip heads with clear wink of stella and dotted some stardust stickles around for a bit of pizzazz!!

Right, better get linked up and join in, I'm cutting it a bit fine!!

So Fairy Cute

Happy Monday everyone. Hope your weekend was a good one. We had lots of sunshine here in Dorset UK and it was so warm that Surprise had her first days out naked...and came in covered in mud. She thinks she's doing me a favour because mud = grooming and it's quite a workout!!

Anyway, less waffling and the reason I am here.

It's new challenge day at

new style blog badge

and the theme is

So Fairy Cute

Here's what I did using an image from our sponsor All Dressed Up

She is called Little Flower Fairy and was coloured to match the fantastic Nitwits papers. I dug out an old Martha Stewart punch for a pretty lacy border and found  perfectly matched ribbon and cardstock for the mats. I used Spectrum Noir alcohol pens for a change and was really pleased with the result.

Looking forward to seeing you there, remember that your image must be cute though!!

Man at work?....yeah right!!

Hellooo!! It was just over twenty two years ago that I gave birth to our second Son...how the heck did that happen??!! Anyway here is the card that I made to give him yesterday.

I was inspired by the number of shaker cards that have been showcased recently so decided to have  a go myself. It was a bit of a faff but well worth the effort as I was really pleased with the result and the "the kid" in Connor enjoyed shaking the sequins!!

I won the image in a Little Claire challenge and though it would make an amusing card. There is little chance of him lying in a hammock drinking this year...he is coming to the end of his degree, working as well and is in the process of buying an apartment with his Girlfriend!! The papers are Nitwits Collections Winter Wishes and the image was coloured with Promarkers. the mats were cut out of Desert Storm card with Tonic scalloped dies.

Some Challenges

I love Promarkers #304 - Men at Work
It's Martin's weekend off and, as we were both unwell last time he was off, we are hoping to go to Weymouth for a browse followed by a delicious lunch on the way back. The weather looks promising so fingers crossed!!

Whatever you are doing I hope it's a good weekend for you xx

You got my heart

Hello and welcome!! Yay, we are within touching distance of the weekend and the rain has gone again so all is well with the world. The fields were just about drying out and then Wednesday came and they were like a quagmire again...never mind...spring will arrive in the UK eventually!!

Anyway, I am actually here to shout about

and have this little beauty to share, she is called You got my heart

I coloured her with Promarkers to match the papers that came from Hobbycraft on my most recent expedition!! I fussy cut her and then mounted her on a die cut heart and adhered to the acetate panel.

The sentiment was stamped on the inside of the card as you can see a bit clearer here.

If you are a fan of cute and clean images I urge you to go and take a look, Naz has an array of lovely images for you to work with and is also happy to sponsor challenges.

Embossing at AYLI

Hello friends.

I have my DT card for

where our challenge for you this time is

EMBOSSING

I couldn't decide so have included both on my card, copper WOW embossing powder and a Crafters Companion free EF that came with a magazine. The stamp was also free and stamped and embossed on to a Joy tag set

I really should emboss more often as it adds such interest to a card and looks especially fabulous on pearl card, although it never photographs particularly well...you don't need me to tell you that!!

Hope you will find time to join us this fortnight...after all it's a great opportunity to dust off your pots of embossing powder!!

Some challenges to play

Crafty Creations #310 - Sentiment as a focal point
Creative Moments #88 - Amything Goes +/- a sentiment
Noor Design UK #16 - CAS
Ooh la la #199 - Add a sentiment
Create and Inspire #41 - Anything Goes

My first job of the day is to ring the heating engineer to get our heating fixed...it's too chilly to do without for very long. Socks in bed is not a good look!!

Run rabbit, run!!

I have quite a collection of The Cat's Pajamas stamps and they were long overdue an outing. So, inspired by TCP current challenge I made this

I used bright and cheery Doodlebug papers as my colour palette and went from there. Coloured with Promarkers I glittered the windmills and punched out some additional flowers. The gorgeous Marianne Designs die cut curve finished it off nicely I thought.

I am joining in here

Lemon Shortbread  #9 - Anything Goes
Creative Corner - Bunnies Everywhere

Right I'm off to find some extra layers, our central heating doesn't appear to be firing up tonight...typical!!

Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back in the morning with another card xx

Shabby 21st

Hello fellow bloggers and I hope today finds you well, if not, then I wish you better days.
We are all recovering from a nasty lurgy, flu like symptoms with a persistent cough. Hubby was so bad that he had to take three days off of work which is unheard of and even visited the GP. Still, we are over the worse...fingers crossed.

Our eldest's Girlfriend will be celebrating her 21st in a few days so I am sharing the card that I made for her. My offspring are far too cool to take any notice of what I do here, so there is little chance of her seeing this before the event, so here it is!!

You may be forgiven for thinking that I have been whisked away by aliens...lol...but yes 'tis me...having another go at Shabby Chic with the help of a sketch that I hastily drew after seeing a similar card, somewhere. Don't ask why I didn't "pin" it, I have no idea!!

The pretty spot paper is from First Edition Floral Pavilion. Tumbled Glass DI was just the right shade to distress the edges and, as you can see, my teeny weeny sewing machine was used too. All the flowers were from WOC except the stalky and stringy stuff (!!) which came from Anna Marie Designs. The curves were courtesy of my SB edge dies, the little branches from Noor UK and the pearls and bird were from my stash. The flowers were stickled but, as usual, it doesn't show on the snap.

I am proud to be sharing here...
