My Time to Craft! #477 Animals.

Image
Good morning, all! Welcome to a new Challenge at My Time to craft! Our theme is Animals. I have been digging through my older stamps and came across two adorable images by Penny Black.  The frogs are perfect for a friend who volunteers at a Community Farm where they have a lot of frogs in their pond.  The second is for a couple who have just announced their engagement and who love Birdwatching.   I found some paper in my stash that looks like water splashes which seemed just right for the image! The sentiment is gold-embossed and is from a stamp set by Altenew full of 'Happy Birthdays' in different fonts and sizes.  I underlined the sentiment with a couplw of shiny green peel-offs by Love from Lizi. For the background of the geese I wanted a paper with some bright orange and found this one by Basic Grey many years ago.  The sentiment is cut with an old die by Clearly Besotted.  I used a Scallop Corner Chomper on the top corners and brushed Peeled Paint around the edge to gi

Dream Valley Challenges #184 Animals

Good morning! Happy Monday, everyone, I hope this is the start of a good week for you! Our new challenge at Dream Valley is Animals. Our sponsor is Fabrika Fantasy and a lucky winner will be able to choose 3 of their digis! I went with the adorable Little Dragons (scroll down to find the image.) All the papers are from the Snippets drawer, which is now almost too full to shut properly! I took the colours for my dragons from the spotted paper, using mint green and purple to make a congratulations card on the birth of twins. Do fly over to Dream Valley to see what my teamies have made and be inspired to join in! Thanks for looking! love Mags B x

CRAFT Challenge #459 Animals

Image
Hi, guys! If it's Thursday there must be a new CRAFT Challenge! Our new theme is nice and easy - Animals. Here are some frogs having fun! Aren't they cute? The image is from ScrapNDipity . I used papers from an old Bo Bunny collection called 'Ad Lib.' The sentiment is from Altenew's Label Love stamp set. I cut the centre panel too narrowly and had to add another piece, and I covered the seam with some very old paper ribbon to hide it! There's usually some way to hide a mistake, isn't there? Our sponsors this week: ScrapNDipity and DRS Designs. Do hop along to the Challenge blog and enjoy the fab inspiration my teamies have left to inspire you! Thanks for looking and have a good weekend! (Not long now!) love Mags B x

The Squirrel and the Fox challenge #56 Animal Antics

Good morning! And Happy November - can you believe it's November already?! I'm sure that time is speeding up as we go through the 21st Century!!! It's also time for another Challenge at The Squirrel and the Fox . Our theme this time is Animal Antics and our great sponsor is Sweet'n'Sassy Stamps who are offering 3 of their adorable digis to a lucky winner! The DT could work with some of their stamps, I chose Santa Owl I just love his startled expression! I coloured him with Promarkers and added Glamour Dust to the trim on his hat. I fussy cut him (mainly because I managed to go over the edge by his ear and trying to repair the damage only made it worse! Oh dear!) and added him with foam pads to a square of paper cut out with a Spellbinders Square Die. The mat is another Spellbinders die, this one is Lacey Squares. The papers were a magazine freebie, they are Christmas Carnival by Kaisercraft, and the colours are so pretty! The sentiment is from the same

Surprise!

Once again it's Dream Valley Challenges time and this fortnight's theme is "SURPRISE!" You can make a pop-up card, or include a hidden tag, or have a lift-the-flap element - there are links on the Dream Valley blog to sites with examples and tutorials to whet the appetite! The sponsor is They're offering a $10 Canadian dollars voucher to spend in their shop so do stroll across and have a dekko at what's there! I've been away in North Wales this last week, so didn't have time to use one of the digis, unfortunately. Instead I used a Lili of the Valley image called Sprinkled With Sugar isn't it adorable? The tag and sentiment are also LotV. The papers are Basic Grey 'Nook and Pantry' (I think - they were in my snippets box!) I used foam pads to stick the image onto the front, leaving the side open to insert the tag. I die-cut the scrolled base of the tag using a Nestie in the same card that I used for matting, so it would look like part of
