Kuchenne rewolucje

Zaszalałam z produkcją przepiśników.
Dziś cztery w bardzo zróżnicowanych barwach.
Pierwszy żółto - zielony, idealnie wielkanocny.

Ten poleci na wyzwania:

Art Piaskownica KoloroTON              Snip Art #49 Spring

A następny, soczyście słodki oraz szałowo kolorowy
na wyzwanie kwietniowe Piątek Trzynastego.

And those retro cookbooks are going to join the
April Challenge at Mini Album Makers.
oraz Studio 75: April Bingo Challenge

Chill out

There's a very nice challenge at SSS Monday Challenge blog
we called it CHILL OUT so you know, let's chill and join us!

As always you can be a winner of $50 voucher to SSS Store!

Chill out... I absolutely love this word.
From the chill out music to a chill out at the beach.
But there is more, I love the chill out while doing something I love:
listen to music, reading, taking a long bath, walking in the forest,
crafting, dancing, listen to the rain while I fall asleep, etc.
There are a lot of things making me happy and calm and comfortable.
I chill out when I have time for myself doing whatever I want.

Today I come up with a recipe notebook cover. What's of chill out here?
I finally made something for myself to can enjoy time spent on cooking.
I was planning to do it for a long time now and finally I had a day for myself, with music, candles, wine and the sound of the rain outside.
Amazing time spent on crafting for myself!
Let's take a look...

It's a canvas based cover which I trimmed and sewed first.
Then I covered all the surface with gesso (the canvas sheet
was primed originally but I prefered to give it a thin layer of gesso
to be sure my paints and sprays work properly). Let it dry.

I smeared the surface with Distress Paints: Antique Linen,
Tumbled Glass and Ground Espresso in the end.
After that I besprinkled it with Ground Espresso Distress Spray.
I stamped the Vintage Vanity stamp with Archival Jet Black.

The Word Play letters (thanks, Sandra!) were covered
with White Gesso, painted with Carmin Red Ecoline
and adhered to the canvas with Mod Podge.
(przepisy means recipes in Polish)

The vintage lady was cut out from Prima Paintables sheet
and adhered with Mod Podge as well.

Then I mixed the Transparent Texture Paste with a bit of
After the dots were dry I painted them with Vintage Photo Distress Crayon
as well as the siluette of the lady and the shadows of the letters.
Finally I covered all the surface with Mod Podge to secure the medias.

Here's the inside close up.
I really love the effect and love my new recipe book cover a lot!

Cookbook

It's been a long time from my last cookbook that I began to miss them.
So here it is. A honey sweet dotted one.
