A shabby chic corset card Inspired by the Moodboard

Hello friends!
Jaya here today.

Hope you all are enjoying the Moodboard challenge this time.
We have a gorgeous mood board for you as our inspiration. All that you have to do is get inspired by the mood board and make any paper based project.

Challenge#43-

Inspired by moodboard
Twist- Use two or more pattern papers

Here is the moodboard-

You can be inspired by any element of the moodboard, either a single picture or all at the same time or you could just play with the color palette we provided you with the mood board.

Here is my card as the inspiration-

My inspirations from the mood board-

The dress picture I incorporated a form of dress i.e corset in my card.
I was also inspired by the gorgeous rhinestones on the dress and incorporated it as leaves for my flower clusters.
The gorgeous flower cluster in the moodboard also inspired me to create one such  huge cluster on my card.
not only these ...I also picked up some inspiration from the striped umbrella and that shows in the bakers twine I used to tie the corset.
Apart from the mood board I was inspired by the color palette and used the following colors-
Petal
Rose
Seafoam
Silver sage
Basically,I stuck to the colors I could see in the pictures.

Some more pictures-

Hope you liked my card.
Do not forget to submit your entries here and be on a lookout for some more awesome inspiration by our designers.
Have a great day!

A shabby chic card and handmade flower tutorial

Hello Friends!
This is Jaya here. Hope you all are excited about the theme for this fortnight just as we are! The design team is all geared up to inspire you all with gorgeous projects so do join us in the fun and win a beautiful stamp set offered by Lulupu!

Lulupu Challenge # 30
Feminine Cards

Qualifications Guidelines :

{General Guidelines here}

1. Create a CARD (No other project will make the cut !)

2. Use Border Punches and Flowers - The flowers must be Stamped OR Handmade OR Readymade ones. though we love handmade more!

3. Use only Feminine colours for your card

4. Deadline to submit is 15th May, 2014 until 11:55 PM IST.

So here is my inspiration for the challenge.

For this card I have used the Fiskars sunburst border punch on the edge of the card. I think this punch gives the card a beautiful delicate look ..don't you?
The swirl is made of Rangers liquid pearls- Onyx Pearl (black).
The pink flowers are made using the mod podge mold and mod melts. I have acrylic painted them. the frame is a Prima resin treasure.
I did not have any mothers day stamp so I did some selective stamping :P. I made use of the Technique Tuesday stamp- Favourite Memories and stamped my sentiment!! Isn't that cool?

Here I have a Step by Step Pictorial Tutorial for the handmade fabric flower

Step 13: Finally when all the petals are done with, place the brad in the centre with hot glue and your flower is ready for embellishing your project!

Hope you liked my card and were inspired to enter our  Lulupu Challenge#30- Feminine cards!

Special Birthday & Shaped Card!

Hello Beautiful Crafters,

Valou here,

Hope you had a peaceful week! We have a fabulous special Challenge this month

 Challenge#27 Lulupu 2nd Birthday Special

Before I begin here is my thought process for this project.

Starting with alphabets..we have to use L, U, P, T, C

Let's see What I have used here?

L: leaves, lavendar
C: cardstock
: papers, pastel shade

Here is my card for this challenge and I hope that it will inspire you!

For this card, I used a decorated flowers paper ( small block)and the edges are distressed with "Old Paper" DistressInk.

The shape of the card is a template found on the Internet which I printed in two different sizes. I then cut with simple scissors.

I used a rubberstamp "Magnolia".

I then colored in the following way:

- Ink "Distress Tattered Rose" and "Distress Vintage Photo" for the skin.
- Ink "Distress Antique Linen" and "Distress Walnut Stain" for hair.
- Ink "Distress Worm Lipstick".
- Ink "Distress Shaded Lavender".
- Ink "Distress Forest Moss".
- "Glitter Stickels Frosted Lace".

I cut the image and I stuck it with "Foam Tape" on a die-cut created with "Cuttlebug" and a dies " Spellbinders-Nestabilities - Circles ". The edges of circle white circle under the image is inked with the ink "Shaded Lavender" then covered with "Glitter Stickels Icicle".

I have used various flowers to decorate my card. Flowers are covered with some touches of "Glitter Stickels Icicle".I also added "Foliages" created with a die by" Cherry Lynn Designs ".

The title is printed and i used a font called " Chopin Script ". I then cut it in banner shape to sue on my card.

Finally, I added a butterfly created with a die by " Joy! Crafts ". Above, I stuck another butterfly made with a small punch and I decorated it with two white pearly demies-pearls.

We are looking forward to your amazing entries to drool over!

I wish you an excellent day and bye for now!
