Disneyland with Friends

During Spring Break, one of my favorite people in the world came to visit with her kids.  We spent the day, Thursday, at Disneyland.  Here are some pictures.

Could Anything Worse Happen on Vacation?

When we went on vacation to the Outer Banks, NC last summer, John had a horrible allergic reaction to spray on sunscreen.  He had hives all over his chest, back, and legs.  After suffering for a day, he agreed to go to urgent care.  Thankfully, they gave him a steriod shot, and he felt a lot better.

My boys are very creative. 

They can take a mundane task, such as setting up a tent, and create a fun game out of it, let's say Jousting (with the tent poles)...

Dave & Busters

What is a family vacation without video games?  After visiting the Washington DC Temple grounds and Visitor Center, we stopped off at Dave & Buster's at White Flint.  We had so much fun!  The boys especially loved the 4-way air hockey table!

Washington DC Temple Grounds and Visitor Center

While in Maryland, we visited the Washington DC Temple Visitor Center and walked the Temple grounds.  It is so beautiful!  Here are a few pictures.

These signs are from an exhibit at the Visitor Center titled "We Follow Jesus Christ."  In this simple exhibit, about 20 questions are answered about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  I took a picture of these questions, because a friend of mine had asked me these same questions.  I thought the answers were worth sharing.

Hanging Out With John's Family

Although our trip was very short, our families were great about making time to see us.  Here are a couple of photos from dinner at John's parents' home. 

Sunday at Granny's

My mom started this neat thing a couple of years ago called "Sunday at Granny's."  It's a time when all the grandkids (and their parents) get together at her house, play a little game, and have a treat.  We were grateful to have the opportunity to participate while we were in Maryland.

Bacon Sundae

Yes, you read that right.  There is a bacon sundae.  Burger King has added it to their menu, and David really wanted to try it. So he ordered one on our way back from Palmyra.
