She Sits and She Waits

Our cat, Mia, loves standing on the landing and looking over her "kingdom." In this case, it was the blankets for David's Eagle Project (which were stacked against the wall beneath the stairs).

Silly Cat

Our cat, Mia, is a strange one. She has loved David's Eagle Scout project, because he made blankets which she could lay on (and on the scraps of fabric).

After his project last Saturday, David brought all the blankets in and lined the dining room wall (until we dropped them off today). Mia plopped herself down in the middle of the blankets. I hope none of the kids who receive a blanket we made is allergic to cats.

Today, after we loaded all the blankets in the car, Mia looked a bit depressed while gazing down at the dining room. (Of course, she wouldn't keep that pose while I took the picture, because she's afraid of the camera. This is the best I could get.)

Super Fat, Stealth Cat

Okay, maybe "stealth cat" is not quite accurate, but our cat, Mia, is a great escape artist. If she hears the sound my camera makes when it's turned on, she runs and hides, or stops doing the funny things she's doing.

AJ managed to catch her laying down, totally relaxed, while Michael was reading on Sunday. I promised I'd post this to the blog, so here it is.

I'm not a crazy cat lady. Honest.

Silly Cat

Our cat, Mia, sleeps in the strangest positions. This is one of her favorites, on her back like a person.

Crazy Cat.

Our cat, Mia, has some serious emotional issues. She's not dangerous, just needy, yet standoffish. I found her under the dining room table with a doll (a friend's daughter left at my house). She had carried it under the table and was sleeping on it.

Cats... You've got a theme going...

Why do I have pictures of a cat toy, you ask? Well, we bought this for the cats so they won't claw the new furniture, but we've found that our children like it more than the cats. The first two pictures are my attempts to capture my children playing with the cat toy. The last one shows Michael running away after playing with it.

More Cats...

Our female cat, Mia, loves to come up to us at the table and beg for food. John started this by giving her some of his food on the bench. Now she begs him the most.

Cats

Yes, I am crazy enough to blog about my cats, but I couldn't resist taking this picture.

We moved part of our old sectional to our bedroom in an effort to fit all the furniture (new and old) into the apartment. Our male cat, Milo, immediately jumped to the top and claimed it. We put some boxes next to it and our female cat, Mia, claimed those.

All Tuckered Out!

After working so hard initially shaping AJ's Pinewood Derby car, John crashed on the couch. Around the same time, our strange cat, Mia, was sleeping like a person under the table. (Yes, I know I am becoming that weird cat woman for posting more pictures of my cat, but it was quite funny!)

Cats, Cats Everywhere!

We have two cats with similar coloring. The kids enjoy having them, especially Michael. Our male cat, Milo, was trying to get my back scratcher (which John was kind enough to buy for me last week). Michael and I snapped some pictures. Note Mia, our female cat, in the background watching Milo try to "catch" the back scratcher.
Here Milo is standing on his rear paws trying to reach the back scratcher!
