Springy Notes

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today on the Cheery Lynn Blog I share a springy thinking of you card with the fun Dandelions dies and the new Add a Flourish! I layered a background with the Lattice Circle Frame and Tiny Bubbles Borders. I then created a spray of flowers using the Dandelions and the Tiny Flower Kit along with the flourishes. A sweet Mini Butterfly colored to match the flower finishes off the card.

31 Days of Halloween | Day 22

If you are looking for my weekly Cheery Lynn Designs Post it is here.
During the month of October I am participating in a month-long blog hop with some amazing artists. Everyday you will find a new Halloween project on all of the blogs listed below. Each project must have stamping on it, be it digi or ink. There are prizes to win, be sure to check out all the rules HERE and information on the daily scavenger hunt is posted there! You must go HERE to find the item/s you are looking for the scavenger hunt.

Today I did a quick card with a spider web die and with sentiment and a spider stamp! I stamped both images with black pigment ink and heat embossed them with clear. The spider web die cut has been misted with Pearl Maya Mist to create a sparkly web. I used a pen to doodle a silk string and some additional pen "stitching" on the edges of the card and sentiment square. The sentiment square is layered on the card with foam tape. I hope you enjoyed my card! Thank you for stopping by!

Happy Fairy Friday everyone! I'm once again using these delightful images from the Goth Fairy collection from SmearedInk.com to create my seasonal pocket card. This could be used as a book mark or a tag on a present to place a note in or money or a gift card. Total size is 6×3½". The fairy is only glued down on the pocket so that you can place items in the pocket. Recovered doily pieces, peel-offs from HOTP and G45 papers are used to create the pocket card. Spectrum Noir markers were used to color the fairy and glitter and distress ink complete the project.

Dimensional Twinchies with AlteredPages.com and Graphic45

Today on the AlteredPages Blog I share with you how I create the dimensional twinchies that everyone loves!

Happy April everyone! These fun dimensional twinchies are made from my favorite EcoArtBoard and the yummy new Secret Garden Collection [for these I used the sheet of images on  the pages called Leafy Treetops available in the 8×8" pad at AlteredPages.com. They are the perfect size for Twinchies!

What is a twinchie you ask?!?! Well, to understand a twinchie you have to know what an inchie is.
"Inchies are one inch by one inch squares of paper (or fiber) that contain small art, collaged or hand-drawn." This is the description offered at Stamphenge which contains one of the most thorough definitions of inchies. A Twinchie  is an inchie on the 2×2" scale! Hop on over to the AlteredPages Blog for the full tutorial!

leslierahye's Hippity Hoppity Steampunk Spring Blog Hop

Welcome to leslierahye's Hippity Hoppity Steampunk Spring Blog Hop! I am leslierahye and in this hop we are celebrating Spring & Easter--Steampunk Style! I love Spring and all the holidays and am a huge fan of Steampunk. I have gathered together a group of awesome steampunk artists and am as excited to see their creations as I'm sure you are!!!  This is a one day hop. Below you will find links to everyone on the hop, you can start at the beginning and hop through in order. Be sure and check out all the stops as some have blog candy!!

For my project I altered some plastic eggs with old book papers and tissue paper. I then inked and misted the eggs to add a shimmer to each egg. I created band for each egg and a basket to put them in with Graphic 45 Collection Secret Garden. Watch parts were added for that steampunk flair!

Thank you for stopping by! Please enjoy the rest of the hop!

Collage Stamped Mini with Viva Las Vegastamps!

Happy Labor Day! Today on the Viva Las Vegastamps! Blog I share with you a technique for creating a stamped collage Mini Album. This album was hand crafted using Viva Las Vegastamps! and Distressed Inks to create a background similar to the Graphic45 paper that I used on the cover of the album. With the amazing variety of Viva Las Vegastamps! images I can make as many papers as I need and have my entire album coordinate from front to back.

I begin this tutorial focusing on the inside cover pages of the book. When I made this album I began with Graphic45 paper from the Olde Curiosity Shoppe Collection but wanted to incorporate some of the fabulous new stamps from the most recent release and some of my favorites in the store that are similar in style and theme as the Genuine Article page. This would become the inside front cover of my mini and allow me to create interior pages that will match!!

The Method

An interior page stamped with both Antique Linen
& Walnut Stain
The cover of the mini with the Graphic 45 paper...
I think they work well together, don't you?
