GOOD Morning! Today's card from Digital Delights features a beautiful pre-colored image! I love the pre-colored images for quick and easy cards and for when I'm making a stack of them [like thank yous, or invites]. To add a bit of sparkle to this card I used a thin glue and some glitter applied to the hat brim, skirt and shoes. I folded a ruffle for the side of my focal piece and foam mounted it on the the back ground! I love that this holiday paper matched the colors of Watermelon Samantha perfectly! As there are no holiday themed images on it, it was safe to use with this summery card! Remember to look at ALL of your paper before settling on a complimentary papers. You might be surprised to find a jewel in the last place you look!

Delightful Thursday | Spotlight Card

It's Delightful Thursday and the Digital Delights design team is sharing inspiration on the Digital Delights Blog today! 

Today I'm created a Spotlight Card with the precious Ferris Wheel Fun digital stamp from Digital Delights by Louby Lou! This stamp has SO many possibilities for dimension...One of my favorite tricks is to do a spotlight card...you highlight a spot on the card with color and leave the remaining card blank--this looks striking in Kraft as well but I'm trying not to over Kraft you! You can do your pop of color any shape you want...I like to use a square or a circle. Today I chose a 1" square from the image--the piggy is my favorite--and colored him. I matted him on a small piece of Payne's grey card stock and then popped him in the Ferris wheel where he belonged with a piece of foam tape!  Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my card.

Delightful Thursday | CAS card

It's Delightful Thursday and the Digital Delights design team is sharing inspiration on the Digital Delights Blog today! 

Today I'm created a CAS card--Clean And Simple. I love this little Carousel Horse image and colored  her with Prismacolor pencils on Kraft! Today I tried a little different look by outlining my image with white...it gives it a little pop that I think I might like for some looks. I matted my card with Authentique papers and left it simple.It will make a great all-occasions or note card for that someone special in my life! Thank you for stopping by! Today I'm created this quick and easy card with the Cowardly George digi from Digital Delights new May release. George is so cute!. I colored him with PrismaColor pencils on Kraft cardstock! I just love the look and the white pencil is so striking against the Kraft background. I love George's little hands...it is perfect to have him "hold" things on your card. Here he's captured a star but that could easily be a bouquet of flowers for mom or a gift for someone special or a piece of cake! Love him! Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my card.

Steampunk Love

Happy Tuesday everyone!Today on the Cheery Lynn Blog I share a Steampunk Valentine using the Gears Mesh as an insert in the Mirror Mirror Doily Frame. I cut the center of my doily out with the thin oval die provided and then fit my gears behind it. Both the Gear Mesh and the Wings were cut out of black card stock and sponged with gold chalk powder to produce the shimmer.The focal heart was simply layered with the large Two of Hearts in the back, the wings and then the smaller Heart 'n Gears die cut.

Love Tag

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today on the Cheery Lynn Blog I share a valentine tag. I began by diecutting the snowflake mesh border out of acetate to use as a template. I spray-misted with opaque white over the top of kraft card to create the "texture" on the background. Next I stamped a grid pattern over the kraft tag and distressed and inked the edges with pink.]

For the ruffle on the bottom of the tag, I adhered a liquid glue to the back of the kraft tag and attached my crumpled Ankara Lace Border to the edge. A bit of Ankara Lace also peeks out of the side of the tag where the kraft  is ripped.

To finish off the tag, the snowflake doily was layered with the Two of Hearts and some scrolling bling. Love and You were cut and added to the bottom of the tag.
