Tulips!

I can't believe it was the last week of April when the fields were finally in full bloom.
Eterna-winter in effect.
This was the first year we went on a school day (we picked them up after school), and the first year we had to bundle up.

We went to the Tulip Town demonstration garden, and it was pretty and all, but I think we will skip that in future years. The agricultural fields down the road are the real jaw dropper.

The kids would be happy with a giant field full of mud puddles.

There's Frank!

Why is Evan in shorts? Because he peed his pants. Second year in a row.

When we drove down to the ag fields: mind blown.

Every year I think I will be immune to how amazing it will be, but every year I can't even handle it.
I also can't not take pictures. It is so fun to photograph. Every few feet you walk, there is a new combination of colors and patchworks.

The kids were all tuliped out by the time we got to these amazing fields, so me and Jim walked up and down these isles without them. It was like we were on a date. With the kids in in the car.

Eventually they got out of the car because they can't stand to be left out for too long.

Tulips and Evan's hair blowing in the wind.

Easter

**Easter is my favorite holiday. It's a week of studying Jesus,
there are very little gifts and candy,
no decorations,
family.

But most of all it's spring! and life and renewal and hope.
It's tulips in bloom and bright green baby leaves on the trees.
It's out of the dark, into the light.**
