Sledding

Christmas Eve we attempted to go sledding, but the rain wiped out most of the snow. So we just cut strait to the hot chocolate and roasted hot dogs.

Avery loves "Morn-nan" (Morgan).

Crab Night

Be jealous. Tonight we had more king crab legs than we could eat.
That sheep is Avery's new favorite. It ran some errands with us today.

 More trains.

"Thank you paw-paw"
That's a lot of crab in your belly, Mary.
No, wait. That's a baby.

Sunday

 Cuddely Dallin

Little boys in their leftover Sunday shirts.

Evan and Avery play with puzzles from my childhood.

Then Avery went around "drinking" from the toy water tower. Just like Kailyn.

You should see these two kids. They are both "in charge" of the train, so that makes for some Grandpa - Wyatt power struggles. Here they were trying to put the train back on the track, and Grandpa could barely see because Wyatt was making sure he was doing it right.

Avery learning about the ways of the train with Grandpa.

Ashley takes good care of Evan. I need one of her at my house. Maybe I will stuff her in my suitcase.

As soon as the puzzle gets down to ten pieces left, all the kids swarm to help. Grandpa acts like he is so annoyed.

 dance lessons in the kitchen...

Wyatt calls Avery "Angery". He is so nice to her. He begged to sit by her at church, and then tonight while she was sitting there playing, he walked by and kissed her on the forehead.

Nutcracker

We went to watch Ashley and Kailyn perform in the Nutcracker today. We only went to the second act (heavens).
Avery loved to clap and point out the pretty dancers.

See?

I knew there was a picture of me that looked the same as this one of Evan...

So if you were wondering who Evan looks like, wonder no more.

The Hoovah

Two engineering miracles:
The Hoover and the bridge.

This guy was just hanging out down by the dam.

And here's for daddy way out in Kentucky while we hang out in Fallon:
Wyatt and Avery playing...

Ornaments and Stockings

We went out and got our ornaments for this year.
I let Avery pick any one she wanted.

She picked this. I love it.

Here is Evan's first ornament. I held up a red bird and a blue bird.
He picked the blue bird.

I also made Evan's stocking. I go back and forth...sometimes I love it, sometimes not so much.

Remember the boys' stockings are green, and the girls' are red.

Do you see who came to see baby Jesus?

I wasn't going to put up the village this year since we will only be here a few days to enjoy it, but I had no choice after watching Avery and Evan's delight with each one I pulled out.
Avery lays on her belly, feet in the air, looking in the windows and pointing out different things she sees.
That's "Piper" she's pointing to in the picture.
