Decision Made!

It's amazing how much clearer things look after a good nights sleep!

I have put the borders on my Supernova and I love it.

It was blue centre square that was troubling me until I put the borders on, I should have trusted myself a bit better...

Hoping everyone is having a Great Easter!

Folded Fabric Quilt....

I have been working on some UFO'S that have been
 pushed aside for other things
The First is My Hunky Dory quilt with the folded flowers. This was from a Moda Bake Shop Pattern but as usual I changed it...
I have alternated a folded square with a plain layer cake square
The Second is my New Wave Quilt...
I did a Large Loopy pattern all over...

Now I'm off to trace the Second Birdie Block, It's so cute!
Head over to Little Miss Shabbys Blog, you will want to join in if you haven't already!

New Wave Revealed!

This is the New Wave Quilt the pattern of Elizabeth Hartman over at
I bought myself A Fat Cats ruler which I can highly recommend It made the cutting out super simple  I don't like things to be over fiddly so Ruler = Simple ,me likey this!!!!!
The Pattern says that you get 3 Wedges out of the Fat Eighth that you cut, with the ruler you can comfortably get 4 out of each so you should get an extra row for the Quilt.
I have loved the pattern since I saw it but I always thought that the angles might be hard to work with, honestly the seams matched better on this quilt than when working with squares, I know I can't work it out either!

I found these at the Supermarket
These awesome little baskets are great for putting projects in that are on the go!
This week I also finished a UFO (this means I can start another 10 now , lol)

I started this back in March, I know another Whirly Gig Quilt, this will be my last for a while but I do love the Pattern.

Grand Plan

A while ago I shared with you my Folded star blocks from MBS. No offence to the designer but I have decided that I no longer want to put the sashings between the blocks, Everyone seems to be using white and cream on all Quilts lately and  I think I want to buck the Trend.
I love 'busy' Quilts, there's always something new to find!
So I purchased another Hunky Dory Layer Cake and I am now in the process of Alternating Folded Star Blocks and Plain Blocks, Hunky Dory seems to lend itself to large blocks as it has landscape fabric in the Range.
The Quilt will be 8 x 8  and the blocks are squared to 9.5" so it will be a good couch throw.
Blogger is not loving me at the moment and will not load photos :(
I will when Blogger lets me!

It's a Start!

Each evening I sit and do a few Hexagons, They are great to do while watching TV.
(No Concentration needed)

When they reached the top of the box,
I counted them and have done just over 300.
To my dismay when you lay them out it doesn't seem much.

Only about 800 to go,Lucky I really enjoy doing them!
