Supernova Finished......Yay!!!!!!

My Supernova Quilt is as per instructions on Lee's Blog Freshly Pieced Quilted and bound.

A big thank you to Lee who posted the instructions for
such a wonderful Quilt for Free,
because if you had packaged it into a pattern
 you would have sold Hundreds!

The instructions were very clear and concise.

If you didn't join in on the Quilt Along, make sure you have a go at this Quilt sometime, It really isn't as daunting as it looks!

The Centre block...

Love Hope Valley Too...
I have quilted it with an orange peel design.

I am so happy with how this has turned out!

I am so happy that so far this year I have been able to focus on one Quilt at a time.

Well not quite... I have finished a project that will be published in the next few months and also happily working on an alternative size for everyone. I have pieced it using my Favourite Central Park fabrics so when that’s quilted I will give you a small sneak peek!

It’s so hard not telling you about it, but the wait is nearly over...

I have finished last month’s birdie stitches but it is yet to have borders so when that happens I will post a photo.

Has everyone checked out the latest block? I think it’s the prettiest so far.

Happy Mothers Day! on Sunday to my Wonderful Mum, I love you Lots!ladybugquilting

Decision Made!

It's amazing how much clearer things look after a good nights sleep!

I have put the borders on my Supernova and I love it.

It was blue centre square that was troubling me until I put the borders on, I should have trusted myself a bit better...

Hoping everyone is having a Great Easter!

What to do?

I have put together my Supernova blocks.
I wanted to do the centre as a Scrappy type Block with the arms being the same colour as the blocks they intersected with. The centre block is a slate blue which will be my corresponding colour in the borders, My idea being that it started the slate blue and will end the slate blue.
What do you think?

I'm still at the unsure stage and contemplating pulling it out, so if you think it looks good let me know and I will leave or visa versa, if you hate I will pull out and make another block.

This is what I quilted yesterday!
Sherbet Pips is such a Fun Range, Have you seen the sneak peek of Little Apples on  Aneela's Blog...
So Cute! Love the turtles...

Wonderful Colours...
I Love the Swings...

I had a Great time at AQC in Melbourne and was very restrained with my purchases...
These are the only thing's that came home with me....
Love!

I have another three blocks together in my Supernova Quilt...
I have lost a bit of my Mo Jo with sewing, so I spent most of the day on the couch sewing down binding on My Fandango Quilt, mind you I only got halfway on the Monster!

Slow Going...

I've spent most of the weekend working on a clients Quilt,
but I have managed to get 3 Supernova Blocks together...yay!
Anyone who thinks this Quilt is too difficult,
Give it a Go...it's Easy and loads of Fun!

I have finally finished Block 3 of Birdie Stitches, only a few days behind :)

This Bird is sooooo cute!

Pity he was dropped on head as a Baby, his Flat spot never came good!
Next weekend I'm off to the Quilt Convention in Melbourne.
Retail Therapy is always good!

Weekend Away!

I have been to a Quilting Retreat with my sister-in-law all weekend.
It was Fantastic!!!!!!!
We had lots of Talking, Laughter, and of course Sewing.

I have made 4 wonderful new Friends, with whom I will be doing it all again with very soon!

I took the Freckled Whimsy Pattern Pocketful of Pinwheels  to play with and ended up making the whole Quilt top.

My dog always thinks it's play time, even on a white quilt top....

I have also pulled out the Supernova Instructions and have begun organizing my fabrics.
I am doing it in Hope Valley the same as the Original but my solid will be Grey.

I love this Fabric!

Now I'm off to do block 3 of Birdie Stitches because it's the 1st April on Friday and I said I would finish early...promises,promises!

Supernova Quilt-Along

Supernova Quilt-Along with Freshly Pieced

Lee, from the Fabulous blog Freshly Pieced, designed this awesome quilt pattern called Supernova.
She's broken down the piecing instructions into 3 stages
 making it achievable (I hope)
Cutting instructions will be posted on March 24th, but yardage requirements are already online.

I have a Fat Quarter bundle of Hope Valley so...
This might be the Right time to cut it up!
Supernova quilt

So we all get to post photos of our progress on her Supernova Quilt Along Flickr Group, and generally have a great time while making this beautiful quilt!
Let's hope that I can keep up...
But let's face it there is no better motivator
than a group of people expecting to see a Finished Quilt!

Who else is going to join in the Fun?
