ALL OHIO SHOP HOP

Let’s just say…I didn’t make it to many shops.

But this one surprised me!

The Alabaster Mouse in Loudenville, OH

I met a couple non quilting friends, Rosemary and Doris Ann

 for lunch and shopping!

The ladies running the shop were sew friendly!

The very old building architecture showed thru 

This was their ALL OHIO fabric quilt.

Fabric was there as well as LOts if other items, like a general store 

Rosemary loves horses and found this quilt on display! 

Of course I found some items…batting and thread,

As the first person to buy thread…I got an extra surprise!

Notions in the candy machine

Lunch was here!

It did not disappoint! 

Something surprising here…

We all 3 were belly dancers some 40 years ago!

THELMA & LOUISE ADVENTURE

August was another outing for besties and quilty things.

Kathy Guenther, my Louise and I were ready for some fun!

Headed to a quilt retreat always means SHOPPING !

First stop was Heavenly Stitches 

near Lima, OH

A perfect name for a wonderful shop.

Loved all the church arches and feeling in this shop!

We visited  smalltown Elmore, OH

with fun shops in the downtown area

including a quilt shop!

Pink Polkadot!

Small but some fun fabrics inside.

Then off to Maumee OH

for another unique LQS 

The Quilt Foundry!

We found a yarn shop, Chickadee Yarns, which is always

of interest to us.  Kathy is an avid knitter.  I play at it.

Found a very MODERN quilt shop in

Milan, Michigan, TEXTILES.

We loved this modern vibe!

Across the street was

Plum Tree Yarn Shop

and of course we needed to check it out!

This bike was yarn bombed!

We had to head to a fabulous yarn shop

in Ann Arbor named SPUN!

While in that town we visited the

 Ann Arbor Sewing Center!

We hadn't heard of TILDA

but it seemed to fill the shelves here.

How stinkin cute is this quilt!

And the last place is where we stayed for the Quilt Retreat

in Techuseh, Xichigan

The Quilt Patch Shop

was within walking distance from the retreat house.

More on the retreat coming...

but wasn't this a fun road adventure!

CINCINNATI, OH LQS FUN!

If you are in Cincinnati, OH...you gotta check out...

I began visiting here with Kathy Guenther when

it was just a very small store.

Not so small anymore!

Lot of quilts hanging around!

Yummy fabrics around every corner.

and I found some great sale fabrics at $5.99/yd

Hamilton, OH has this fun shop!

Sew-Ezy Sewing Studio.

With lots of traditional fabrics.

Loveland OH has their own shop

The Quilters Studio of Loveland

and if you stay at the Retreat House

you get a 10% discount.

filled to the brim with fabric and fun!

I love the scotch boxes around the store

as part of their displays.

And what would Cincy be without a BENGLES tshirt quilt!

Silk Road Textiles, is one of my favorites Cincy shops!

Its full of unique fabrics...

Including some Alexander Henry

Ghastlies

Lots of yarn...adding more fiber to your shopping diet!

Last but certainly not least is

STITCHES....

It probably is my favorite shop!

They have a HUGE collection of Charley Harper!

And yummy Art Gallery Fabrics

And these fun things made their way back home with me!
