Apple of my eye!

Good Tuesday Morning everyone!!!

I have decided that I'm going to make an effort to participate in at least 1 challenge a week (if not more than that!) This week, I chose to do the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday challenge. It just looked so fun!

The theme for the challenge was titled "Tree Time". I did a scrapbook page. It's titled Apple Of My Eye!

Recipe:
Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge
Plantin SchoolBook Cartridge
ATG Gun
Xyron sticker maker
DCWV paper stack
Various different floral, butterfly and bling embellishments
Cricut Expression

I cut the tree at 4 inches and then did the layer at 4 inches as well using the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge.
I cut the grass using the "Fit To Page" feature on my Cricut Expression. I cut two separate types of grass, one with flowers and one without then put the embellished glitter flowers over the flower cuts.
For the apple on top, I also cut that at 4 inches using the Plantin SchoolBook Cartridge.
The lettering I did at 3/4 inches using Plantin SchoolBook.

I used my ATG gun to put it all together and Voila'!!!! My cute page.

The picture of my kids was taken a couple summers ago. So much fun!

Thanks for looking!

Much love and creativity,

Cricut Cartridges

I am so excited. I am eagerly awaiting my latest finds! I went onto eBay the other day and found some cartridges at such great prices with FREE SHIPPING. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm married to the ogre of money! When I say that, I mean, HE HATES TO PART WITH IT. With me not having a job, I really REALLY have to bargain shop. I've recently gotten back into scrapbooking, hence my new blog. I own Make The Cut and Sure Cuts A Lot as well as Cricut Design Studio but truth be told, I'm not real good at using any of them. LOL. I really like the cartridges because they are "idiot proof." Meaning, you choose what you want and you cut it. No thinking!!! I'm good with that. I do really think I need to try to learn how to use MTC and SCAL because I know they are great programs with tons of potential!!

The carts that I bought were The Cricut Sampler for $16.50 with free shipping *YAY* and My Community for $18.01, again, with free shipping! *YAY*

I just wanted to share. I have also found other places like Cricut Machine. I don't know how much their shipping is but they are super cheap on Cricut Cartridges.

Thanks for looking! So excited to share this info with you all! If anyone knows of other places besides eBay and Cricut Machine to buy discounted cartridges for Cricut, please share! Thanks.

Getting Cricky Challenge - Birds

I created this cute little treat bag with Valentine's Day in mind. Getting Cricky is hosting a challenge where you have to use a bird of some kind in your project. I used the Stretch Your Imagination and the Plantin School Book Cricut Cartridges for this project.

Recipe:
Cartridges: Plantin School Book for the treat bag cut "to fit page".
Stretch Your Imagination for the chick, cut at 4 inches.
Yellow ribbon with orange flowers.
Yellow and Orange cardstock
Red printed paper for the treat bag.
I used foam pop dots to add dimension to this card.

Saying: U R So 'Tweet"

Thanks for looking!
