Shelly's Images has a new challenge today for the month of September!

It's on of my favorite SI challenges - 

The Roll 'em Challenge. 

And for September, instead of just rollin' three times, I rolled 5 times just to make it a bit more challenging!  Who doesn't like a REAL Challenge, right?!

Shelly's Images New Release - Seahorse

You know how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE the beach, so I'm SO happy to share the newest Shelly's Images digi stamp with all of you.  I hope you like ournew

This digi stamp is done in a "pencil" sketch format.  We have tested the digi on multiple printers but we understand that all printers are a little different.  Adjustments can easily be made by emailing Shelly at shelly@shellysimages.com if you find that the digi prints too lightly on your printer.

Day Late, Dollar Short....

But STILL lots of time to join the Beachy Fun!!!

So, SOMEHOW or another I missed my post for Shelly's Images BEACH FUN challenge yesterday.....

I'm not sure if I can blame it on blogger and the typical shanninigans, or if I just had my head somewhere where it didn't below.....(had a FEW of those days this week).....

In any case, Shelly's Images Blog has a great BEACH FUN challenge going on this week, with an AWESOME Beach Sign image that the entire design team is using!!!  =)

And you know how much we love the beach in our family......yep, we'd live ON the beach (if I had a place to plug in my crafty devices & computer =) so this new image from Shelly's Images is RIGHT UP MY ALLEY!!!

SEW Much Fun at Shelly's Images!

Today we have a FABULOUS New Release AND a New Challenge over at the Shelly's Images Blog!!

It's a SEWING challenge

You can use the real thing OR you can use some faux sewing - just have to include some SEWING!  

I had SEW MUCH FUN making this card - the image is SEW GORGEOUS, works fabulous in SEW MANY COLORS and these colors were a wee-bit out of my standard color scheme - 

AND - I got to break out the SEWING MACHINE!! =)

You can't really see the stitches in this photo because it's white thread, but I DIG IT!!!

12 Days of Christmas at Shelly's Images

So, have you been celebrating the 12 days of Christmas with the designers at Shelly's Images this week?

Well, let me give you a little taste of what we've been doing....

Yesterday I hosted my annual Holiday Bunch and Sweets Swap and to celebrate day 10 in the 12 days of Christmas, I thought I'd share this adorable gift tag that I whipped up using the Candy Cane Freebie (from Day 7.

It was a perfect fit for this holiday cookie tin.

 And if the super sweet tag wasn't enough, I thought I'd share a photo and recipe of just a few of the cookies that will fill a few of these adorable tins for friends, family and neighbors!

Can you say YUMMO???

Shall I share the recipe with you?  Well, of course!  =)

Taste of Home is one of my go to places for recipes - a new dinner recipe, fun recipe for a brunch with friends and  of course, even this sweets recipe!

Almond Joy Cookies

1/3 cup butter, softened

3 oz. cream cheese, softened

3/4 cup sugar

1 egg yolk

2 tsp. almond extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

5 cups flaked coconut, divided (you can omit if you don’t like coconut)

48 milk chocolate kisses

In a large bowl, cream the butter, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy.  

Beat in egg yolk and almond extract.  

Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.  

Stir in 3 cups coconut.  

Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until dough is easy to handle.

Roll into 1-inch balls and roll in remaining coconut (or roll in sugar if you omitted coconut).  Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.  

Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.  Sprinkle with coarse sugar.  

Cool on pan for 2-3 minutes or until chocolate is softened.  

Remove to wire racks to cool completely.

For the Candy Cane Cookies, I just omitted the Coconut and replaced the Chocolate Kiss with a Candy Cane kiss.

Super Simple and WAY TOO YUMMY!

It's a holiday new release from Shelly's Images - and today we're enjoying a SHOW US YOUR CHRISTMAS PROJECT challenge, just in time for the holiday.

One Last Stop is our highlighted image today - and what a lovely holiday image it is.  It reminds me of the peacefulness of the woods out at our family farm - the way you can hear the snow falling it's so quiet.  What happy memories those thoughts bring.  =)

Fall Fencin' at Shelly's Images

Surprised aren't ya to see me TWO posts in a ROW on the SAME DAY!!!

BUT, I couldn't help it!
