Bring on the Oldies - And Fall too!

It's Oldie But Goodie Day at The Bug Blog
While I LOVE LOVE LOVE new images, there's something that is so much fun to me about digging out the OLDIES and giving them new life!

With Olivia's special note box, I TRY to never use the same image over.  I'm sure over time, there will be one or two that get reused (by mistake) because the old mind has forgotten, but for now, no duplicates yet!

Because tomorrow, September 22 is the official first day of fall, I thought I'd share with you Livy's "Welcome Fall" card for her special box!

Papers - Doodlebug Design (my favorite!) & PTI Cardstock & Kraft Paper
Extra STUFF - Doodling, Ribbon & Dimensionals

Visit The Bug Blog and see what other oldies have been unearthed today!  :)
You might be inspired to pull out some of your oldies too, OR to head over to The Bugaboo Stamps Store and add an oldie to your collection!  :)

Stella Says Sketch - Challenge 144

It's a Stella Says Sketch Challenge Day!  Ready to get sketchin'?
My mama LOVES sunflowers, so this lovely Autumn Jar with the sunflower and pumpkin was a PERFECT digi to use on her Birthday card.

We had a wonderful birthday celebration with her.
We enjoyed dinner with my mama and honorary Grandma Marilyn at this great restaurant called Mac's in Saline.  Can you say YUMMO?
The food was ALMOST as yummy as this Doodlebug Design Harvest Paper (yep, one of my new faves that I'm sure I will be hoarding!)

A For Fun Challenge

Happy Hump Day from Bugaboo Stamps!!

Today we're getting the chance to 'play' with another design team and do a "For Fun Challenge" at the For Fun Challenge Blog!

This weeks For Fun Challenge is to make a
Halloween or Fall Card and NOT use Orange, Black or Purple.
Whew, talk about a challenge - colors are the STAPLES of my Halloween/Fall themed cards. . . . but I love how this challenge made me use OTHER colors that represented Fall or Halloween.
This is what I came up with (that orange/yellow color is actually a mustard yellow IRL)

Image - Bugaboo Stamps "Crow" from Bugaboo $1 Digi Deals
Papers - Coredinations, Bazzill, Kraft & Imaginisce
Coloring - Copics
Tools - EK Success Punch
Extra STUFF - Googley Eye, Stickles, Doodling, Gelly Pen in Gold for Doodling, Dimensionals. Color Box Chestnut Roan Ink & Studio G "Happy Day" sentiment.

I'm so please with the way this turned out!  Can I tell you how much I love the TEAL with these fall colors?!  =)
So, if you'd like a little Spooky For Fun Challenge, COME JOIN US!!
AND if you decide to join us for this weeks For Fun Challenge, pop on over to our PCP or CDAC group and check out this weeks WACKY WEDNESDAY challenge too!!  These two challenges kind of fit PERFECTLY together!! =)

FINALLY!

TGIF!!
I FINALLY got to do some scraftin - oops, was I trying to type scrappin' or craftin'??
Guess today's a make up your own word Friday.  LOL

I've been looking at all the wonderful challenges all week and just WISHING I could participate in at least a few.  We're just about done with all the peach canning and I figured I DESERVED a reward!!!!!
FINALLY tonight, I got one!!

My Challenge Journey began with the Bugaboo Stamps/Catch The Bug Challenge (Fall and Sewing) which lead me to the Whimsie Doodle Challenge (Sew) and thinking of Sewing lead me to the Sew Many Challenges (embossing) and when I emboss I usually end up Distressing things too which lead me to the ABC Challenge (distressing)and after all the fall air and sewing, I needed to do a little Eat Sleep Stamp and used their sketch which then lead me to The Kitchen Sink (Fall).

So, after ALL that, here's what I came up with!
Image - Bugaboo Stamps "More Turtles - TURT Fall"
Paper - Kraft and Burgandy Cardstock
Technique - Heat Embossed Leaves on image
Distressing (with Ink)
Handmade Paper (leaves)

Man I love a challenge!!

BLINK!

And the weekend was gone!  Wow!
I hope to have some paper craftiness to share with you tonight or tomorrow, but for now, I thought I'd share with you our Pumpkin Craftiness!  Glen and I decided to carve pumpkins on Friday night (see our personal blog for the Great Pumpkin Adventure......).
So, from -
To these fabulous works of Art!
Pretty impressive, huh?  I'll be lighting the candles in these little babies for at least another few weeks (or until or crabby assocation board sends us a letter.......)
We went trick or treating with my nephew on Saturday (and celebrated his 4th Birthday).
Isn't he the cutest little Birthday Boy?
Sunday after some MAJOR grocery shopping and Freezer reorganization (yep, do that every time I do a big grocery shop) I got bit by that cleaning bug.......DOH!  So much for getting to my studio......
Luckily we made a HUGE Yummy Tray of 'zagna last night, so we'll be dining on that tonight for dinner.
'Tovers tonight = MORE TIME IN MY STUDIO!
Happy Craftin'!

Fall Delight

This is a layout that I did for Live Laugh Love Scrap -
I'm so happy with the way it turned out.

I used a few different Cricut cuts -
The Wagon & Fence are from Paper Dolls
The Tree & leaves are from Stretch your Imagination
Pumpkins are from Doodlecharms
Text - Base Camp
Grass, Large Leaf with title in it is from Plantin' Schoolbook, the Roly Poly feature
Photo mats are double matted with WorldWin Cardstock
Buttons were used for wagon wheels
And of course, you've got to have stickles!
Happy Craftin' today! Don't forget to vote! Min
